I look forward to their continental breakfast every morning (croissants, bagels, overnight oats, hard boiled eggs), and their afternoon snacks (pumpkin pie, brownies, etc). The interior is spacious and decorated with a lush array of plants, which helps get the creative juices flowing. Unlimited coffee and tea is also a great perk. Lots of food options nearby too. They have co-ed bathrooms which was a little strange at first but you quickly get used to it.

It seems like everyone at Brass Factory feels the same. I have never met a more unprofessional, rude, and strange person in my life. Im not going to be moving forward with my membership. I would never bring a client or investor here, because this person is so unbelievably unprofessional. She is terrible, truly truly terrible, and is rude to pretty much everyone, she has yelled at other members and more than one person who has done a tour has withdrawn their membership because of her terrible behavior.

The couple who run it are always aiming to get new equipment in and forge new relationships with those who are making them. They are an idealistic duo which I have come to love dearly. The people here are great and approachable. Everyone is doing such great and intriguing things. The conversations that happen while in the space are one of the most important aspects of being here, and when they lead to something beyond, well you get a collab! I suggest scheduling a tour to see for yourself. The space is super versatile and would be a great fit for an individual/small company that needs resources along with space.

Collab is a combination think tank and fabrication laboratory, providing members with the tools to work on their ideas, and an open source platform, if they choose, for expanding and exchanging those ideas with other members and the populace. Many folks in the offices that open into the common space leave their doors open and have had loud phone conversations for most of the hour I've been here, their doors open, without masks on, making the common space pretty noisy and non-masked. Not a safe space. Not a quiet, work-friendly space.

I went alone because I'm awesome like that! I also met some amazing folks from Eat2Eat, who are new to the space. I received a personal tour and this space was airy and artsy. Office spaces can be super pricey in Brooklyn and I love the idea of communal office spaces. They have a spacious and beautiful kitchen. There are high tech conference rooms and offices of all sizes. It was a pleasure walking through the space and it also had some prime spots of snap chatting and selfies! Ha! I actually live closer to the Flatbush location and I have yet to check it out. But I would like to if they have an upcoming event. There's a staircase and also elevators in here. There's no fancy entrance, just a warm welcoming face at reception. And that's all right with me. Be creative. Be productive. Be-lieve in communal work spaces and book a tour.

First, I'll just go ahead and say that Gina, the Community Manager, is wonderful. She loves her members and her members love her. You can tell that the entire community, while a lot of them work for many different companies, feel like they are a part of a bigger team. The highlights from Industrious (similar to some of the other locations I've seen) were certainly the community, hospitality, and design. There was breakfast from a local boutique bakery, locally roasted coffee, fruit water, and afternoon snacks every day. And it was all included! It was so nice to be able to just work out of the space and have access to everything I needed. I felt like I was in a premium hotel. Not to mention a ROOFTOP deck in New York? Who am I, Beyonce?! Speaking of the rooftop, lucky for me I was there for one of their events to kick off their Wellness Month. The event was Oysters & Rose on Friday afternoon (see pictures) - holy buckets this was AMAZING. The freshest oysters I've ever tasted, rose, cheese plates, charcuterie boards, desserts, chair massages, colorpuncture, and more! So many people came out and I got a chance to chat with a ton of people who had such wonderful things to say. Everyone was super friendly, energetic and really seemed happy to go to work, which is not something you see very often! Miss you already BK!
