I can honestly say that I rarely give reviews, but every once in a blue moon there is an instance where a person; company and/or service has made such a profound impact that it should be shared. Recently I needed an appraisal on a piece of jewelry that had been handed down several generations with no known paperwork accompanying it. After making calls explaining my needs, I was referred to Prospector's Pouch. I truly cannot express enough how incredible my experience was dealing with them!!! From the first phone call; during our meeting and even after, I was beyond impressed. Going into this venture I was frightened. I knew I had an exquisite piece of jewelry, but was discouraged in truly finding out its real value because I had no descriptive paperwork and was scared that professionals would not be forthright. The owners of Prospector's Pouch took their time; explained my piece's rare value in great detail, and contacted one of their suppliers for further assistance due to its uniqueness. To top off my incredible experience, they didn't charge me for their time/knowledge and only contacted their supplier to make sure I was placed in the correct hands asking for nothing in return! Today I made a yelp account for the sole purpose of giving Prospector's Pouch an amazing review. I'm not sure why all of the positive reviews for this incredible store are all filed under "not recommended" because they accurately depict how wonderful my family's experience was in this store. There were some stones that we have recently been given and came to Prospector's Pouch to figure out how to identify stones and what they were. We called ahead to make sure and were met with incredible service from the owners and employees. CR took his time in GREAT detail to explain all the stones and gave me time to write them down. He helped us for an hour, just discussing stones when he noticed we were intrigued by them. I can't thank the service enough because we really needed help and were met with the kindest, most generous people possible. Every staff member in the store including the owners are as Good as they come, very knowledgeable , they took the time to show me any and every ring that I asked to see as time passed other customers came in , I was here first so they dealt with me first , Not once was I ever told you hold on I'll be right back I will gladly purchase more products ,rings ,necklaces ,bracelets etc. from this location Believe me when I tell ya , these are good, down to earth people , that actually care about the Consumer. I've been in this store a few times to look around and have purchased one turquoise ring in the past. They remember me every time I come in and are more than happy to help on every occasion. The staff is fantastic, very knowledgeable about jewelry and as sweet as can be. Their fine jewelry is on the pricier side for a college student, but they have an incredible selection of lower priced jewelry as well. I love antique rings, and there are always items from estate sales to look at. Definitely check out their Native American turquoise section, there are some really beautiful items. Thank you so much to prospector's pouch. If u need a jeweler they r the one to use. I recently noticed that the stone in my ring was loose and took it back to them. They tightened the setting and it was better. About a week later I noticed it was loose again and took it back. They had to send it out and I just got it back. It is much better. Unfortunately ilene Smith one of the owners noticed that my stone seemed to be fading in color and put in a new stone. I have used this company for years and would not go anywhere else. EVERYONE in this store is very knowledgeable and friendly! I went in the first time to see if I could get some rough gemstones looked at, and the owner C.R went out of his way to explain to me what each was and if I could make anything with the stones. There is a huge selection of finished jewelry that is absolutely gorgeous (and unique) as well as loose stones and jewelry equipment.
