I went in to Stiles Jewelry to consult with them about the repair and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. On the verge of tears, I showed themmy sad little bangle and the owner immediately gave suggestions. While saudering was the last thing on my list, I was desperate to wear it again. Before I could agree to the repair, the owner pulled up the Gucci website and was writing down phone numbers. Before they make the repair, the owner suggested I contact the Gucci corporate office for the repair. Having already asked Gucci at Phipps to replace the broken piece, I thought it was a dead end. She was encouraging and told me to go to the top to get it fixed or even replaced. I only wish I got her name! It's not everyday that you are in a business and the owner is actually giving away business! I appreciate her looking out for me and giving me such a great idea! In the end, her suggestion worked. Gucci replaced my bangle for a new one. While I also had a few watch batteries replaced while I was at Stiles, I was blown away by their above and beyond customer service. It's refreshing to see a business actually look out for its customers.

I had three watches that all needed new batteries. I dropped them off and went to lunch with friends. When I returned to pick them up, Susan told me that one of the watches didn't need a battery it just needed to be "shuck up" because it was an older watch and had been sitting in my drawer for a while. It needed just some movement to start ticking again. How honest is that? She could have charged me for all three batteries, and I would have never even known. Wow! I also had some jewelry with me. Some needed fixing, and a few pieces needed an estimation to see if they were worth selling or repairing. This just shows that it's worth supporting small local businesses. She is a cancer, the crab. I described what I was thinking, got a reasonable price and put 1/2 down. About a month later I got a call and the silver ring was ready. When we got there they wrapped it up in a pretty ring box and a cute little gift bag. It was a nice touch. It is hard to make a crab cute, but I think they did a good job of it. I talked to their cad designer and she told me my idea helped inspire her to make a whole line of zodiac jewelry. Which made me feel happy to help.
