And like my grands, I love this place too. Though unlike them, you can only drop by until 2pm. We stopped in on a Saturday around 12:30 to find ourselves a corner booth available. There were already breakfast menus at our seats, and a waitress quickly came to add lunch menus while offering us drinks. The water is iced, with bendy straws, and the coffee comes in a quaint little cup with offers of refills. It was better than the TimmyHo's he had at breakfast, as was the food that followed. It took long enough to know the food was made to order yet not so long that hunger pangs would kick in. When it was set in front of us I had to stop in awe. The presentation made my stomach pipe up, hungry. Sure the skillet wasn't in a literal skillet, but the balance of homey dishware and vibrant food was more than I had expected for something affordable in the middle of nowhere. My mate got the (not)skillet, which had a base of crispy, tots that were a happy level of greasy without feeling like your arteries would hate you later. With the mushrooms, marinara, onion and shredded mozz, the addition of sausage, a mild and moist Italian crumbled in, it gave supreme pizza vibes, topped with fluffy egg. I personally went for an omelet, downsizing an egg and a dollar to better suit my hunger. I went for garden veggie, no cheese. There was plenty onion and mushroom, with ample thick tomatoes and broccoli that still retained a bit of its bite. Neither of us felt it necessary to additionally season our food. We split two sorts of toast. The cinnamon raisin was softer than the crunchy sourdough, both lightly graced by melting butter, thankfully not slathered. I managed to finish my plate in one sitting and my mate took the rest of his to enjoy later, easily reheated in a takeout container. The bill was incredibly affordable given the quality and quantity of food. I probably won't be in Attica again, but if it were closer to home, I'd be back.

Carolyn greeted us at the door. She is a gem of a person and ensured we were well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Bonus that they have a dog Cuddles that like to be petted. The room was spacious, incredible, and had a small balcony overlooking a pond. The bathroom was perfect and had a walk in shower or bathtub. Chef Dave prepared a great dinner. Everything was fresh and made on site. When we asked about the lamb raspberry glaze, he shared his recipe and gave us a to go order of extra sauce. Great experience if you are looking to relax and re-connect with a loved one.

Dinner orders are placed prior to arrival. Then when we checked in, we were greeted by Carolyn and Cuddles (their friendly dog). She confirmed dietary preferences, let us pick a bottle of wine for dinner, took our breakfast order, and explained how to use the TV remote and get to our room. While we waited for our 5:30 dinner reservation we sat by the quiet pond perusing a Genesee county tourism magazine. There were several wooden Adirondack chairs surrounding the pond and we enjoyed the quiet sounds of nature and birds chirping. The dinner was a multi-course, in-room dining experience. Each course was brought to a tray outside our door, and they would knock and leave the food there. You bring into your room and don't have to talk with anyone. Food was great! Breakfast was brought to our door the next morning (it's served between 8-9), and check-out is 10:30. Overall we had a great experience. The hotel and the room were clean and modern, and we appreciated the time to just relax.

The server attended to us immediately. She was kind and took good care of us. She really did. I hate being asked repeatedly how I like my food, or do I need anything, or the worst "are you still working on it" or "do you need a box" when I'm in the middle of my meal. It could be very distracting. Audriana was great! She was at our table exactly when we needed her and not more or less. I had a wonderful time gazing out the window (super clean by the way), and enjoying the beautiful, peaceful view. It felt romantic, even with the air conditioning on right next to me. The food? It could have been much better if the kitchen had paid more attention to detail. The French Onion Soup, for example, was tasty, but only slightly warm. Also, the fries and Cheese Curds appetizer were too salty. We call it 'restaurant salty'. To some, it could taste perfectly fine. My Falls Chicken Sandwich was really delectable, but its name was a little bit misleading. I was expecting something to stand out from a regular chicken sandwich:). The Reuben sandwich was buttery and more buttery and "it tasted as good as it looked", that's what I was told. Still, the rye bread was too heavily buttered. The Burgers and Jack Daniel's Chicken looked very palatable. Maybe next time:)

First thing to know is they have a great view right on the water, a nice outdoor patio, and as the name suggests a cozy log cabin feel. I ordered the shrimp mac and cheese, when I ordered they asked fried or grilled and I said grilled so I was a little bummed when it came out with fried shrimp, but I like fried shrimp too so I wasn't too concerned. But our server remembered and brought me out a small bowl of grilled which I though was really nice. Mine came with a salad and I enjoyed it a lot. Good food, great ambiance, I will definitely be back. It isn't far off the Pembroke exit on the 90, so stop by when driving through!

The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful -- very thoughtfully decorated with such an inviting atmosphere. The view of the lake is stunning, and I loved that you can see the water (and sunset!) from pretty much every table. It really makes the whole dining experience feel special. Our server, Kyra V., was amazing! She was so friendly, personable, and honestly just adorable. She made us laugh and gave honest feedback when we asked about the menu, which we really appreciated. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does, and it made our night even better. The food was phenomenal. We started with the Caesar Tower, which easily fed four adults as an appetizer -- and it was honestly one of the best we've had. Highly recommend! Our entrees did not disappoint either... everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The specialty drinks were crafted perfectly and were just as impressive as the food. We will absolutely be returning and can't wait to dine outdoors when the weather is nice. Such a great experience all around

But the most impressive thing is the food - we were blown away. The best things were any of the pastas, the shrimp bao buns, and the red shrimp, but we loved everything (orange chicken and steak frites). The red shrimp honestly tasted better than lobster, and came with a really good garlic butter. We would order this over and over. The shrimp bao buns didn't' just have tiny chopped up shrimp - it had large chunks of shrimp and you could taste them. The prices are also very fair. In the summer you can even see the lake and eat outside which is a plus. Galene is now one of our favorite restaurants in the area and can't wait to go back.
