The good: coffee was delicious and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Usually I ask for easy over but some restaurants don't cook them long enough and they end up being a bit jiggly so I ordered my eggs over medium and they were exactly how I like them The toast was Rye bread. Bad: we ordered eggs over corned beef hash. The hash was too salty and mixed with beans plus I wasn't sure if it was homemade just because of the texture It's a popular place; it was packed and we had to wait in a line but it wasn't a long wait. This place is perfect for Lake George and is super close to the highway entrance. They have friendly service and timing is also good. This place can get busy on holiday and summer weekends, so plan ahead (as with any place in Lake George). I had an Egg white western omelette and a side salad. They were both fine. Back again this year . We enjoy coming here for a simply delicious homemade breakfast ! Yummy as usual! The only thing that was a bit of a turn off was the girl that was seating us , she was quite sarcastic as we started to enter the restaurant! She spoke to us , as if we were 5 year olds , that we had to wait outside as there was a sign on the door saying so and she proceeded to read the sign to us pointing at the words as she read it out loud ! After reading the other reviews this Diner may have either seen a deep cleaning or full remodel when me and my boyfriend went. After seeing a "rodeo burger" on the menu here I've seen it in many other places since, never heard of it before. The inside was incredible it was like walking through a blast into the past. Honestly I'm conflicted - the diner itself felt icky, it definitely needs a deep cleaning. However, the food was pretty good. We got a breakfast burrito, an omelette, and chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes were great - very fluffy and delicious. The rest of the food was just what I normally could make for myself. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't amazing for the prices they are charging. Yummmm. Cute little diner in a convenient location in Lake George. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon but instead of waiting for a booth my friends and I agreed to sit at the counter. Our waitress took awhile to come over... but it gave us extra time to look at the menu! They have a large menu with an endless amount of options. I ordered the veggie omelet with Swiss cheese. It comes with toast + homefries. The omelet was delish but the homefries were ehh. I asked them to make everything well done and they didn't but whatev. Coffee was good and hot. My friends ordered an omelet and the French toast, both inhaled their meals as well and they said their food was great. My breakfast came to $12. I came here for breakfast while staying at a cabin near the lake. If you are looking for a standard, regular place, this is for you. They have a very simple menu of omelets, pancakes, waffles. A large group of us attending the Hudson Valley Fire Convention in Lake George, NY decided to go to breakfast together for the 2nd year in a row. This is a new/old vintage style dinner and very enjoyable. Since there were 9 of us we sat outside under a tent for breakfast which was a very enjoyable day as it was about 80 with a bright sunny sky. The server brought coffee and orange juice to all that wanted it and took our orders. I ordered french toast with sausage 2 patties. I only ate one and gave the other to DH. The french toast was served without powdered sugar as I eat it with ketchup. I know this surprises you most use syrup but I grew up with dipping my toast in ketchup... Yummy! The coffee was good and server came around with refills. Now mind you usually when you are serving this many people you have to wait a while but not here. Typical dinner order and served within 15 minutes. Much better then other places we have gone to with a group in Lake George. read more

Absolutely a can miss location. Nothing special happening with the food; not bad, just pretty flavorless and boring. We've eaten here before in our frequent travels through the area and were not impressed, but it was walking distance from our hotel and after a long morning on the slopes, the geographic convenience convinced us to return. Despite only having four table counting ourselves in the whole place, service was glacial and inattentive. Had to flag down our server for everything, coffee, silverware, check, etc. Essentially she took our order and dropped off the food when it was ready, anything else we had to actively seek out assistance. The fact that she spent nearly the entirety of our meal shooting the breeze with a couple of locals at the table across from us certainly didn't help matters. It's good to take care of your regulars, but not at the expense of your other customers (another young couple who were also being ignored were loudly grumbling about the situation). The building is cute, albeit in need of a serious deep cleaning, and while the food isn't awful, there's plenty of other mediocre restaurants in Lake George where the staff at least puts forth an effort. Was hungry for breakfast at Noon, and this was the one place we found that had "all day" breakfast! We were traveling from Lake George heading south on route 9 toward Glen Falls. Reasonably priced, especially if you catch early bird specials of the day, ask for a handwritten list. Got friendly service and good food, plus plenty of hot coffee! Ordered an omelette with bacon, spinach, mushroom and Swiss. Eggs were fluffy, and fresh veggies were lightly sautéed and folded in with cheese, perfect as ordered. Also had ordered the "combo" breakfast that had 2 eggs your way, bacon, sausage, pancakes and home fries. Eggs over easy, crisp bacon and 2 sausage patties all as expected. Home fries were OK, but we like them crispier. Good travel stop for breakfast or lunch. Did not try the homemade soups, but they sounded good. Check the diner out if out in the area. read more

The premises are deteriorating, ripped seats (foam popping out) with not even an attempt to tape them, all juke boxes are broken. Food was average, nothing spectacular. Very unhappy individual who should never be working in the service industry. She literally rolled her eyes after an extra request. I didn't even ask for refills on the soda as I was afraid of "extra ingredients' in the cup. Was thinking of no tip to show dissatisfaction, but then decided with a 10% last minute - BiG mistake. Somehow the owner passed that info to the waitress, who I could hear on my way out discussing me and mentioning some unsavory things about my personality. Me and my friends came to this diner before driving back into the city. It wasn't busy at all for a Saturday afternoon. (We were there on June 29th, 2019.) They have the standard diner fare on the menu: waffles, omelets, burgers, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing special either. The food was alright. The wait staff/hostess were resistant to moving tables when we asked to add another table instead of squishing everyone in two tables. Super tiny, cutesy, old school type diner. We stopped in for breakfast and had the cream of tomato soup, breakfast usuals of omelettes and one veggie burger. The soup was like a penne sauce out of can and not to my liking. Eggs were very fluffy but the canned mushrooms made the omelette taste rather bland, and it needed some adobo and stat. The home fries which I was really looking to the most were mad disappointing. They were not crispy or made with onions and peppers but rather had a coating of what we guessed was white pepper on it. Nice local diner. It is not in the heart of the Village, so you will will have to drive to get to it, or take a long uphill walk or bike ride. The parking lot is spacious. Service is much better than most places in the Village. Not inexperienced kids working summer jobs. Food is standard diner fare. I think the Prospect Mountain Diner is one of the better places to eat in Lake George Village. For a fairly priced sit -down meal in the Village, this is one of my favorite places. As a tourist in Lake George I decided to visit this diner with my husband who is a Lake George native. He remembered it before a fire that had destroyed the previous diner. We had lunch there, I had ordered a basic cheeseburger simple didn't ask for anything special. I ordered it to be well done. The cheeseburger was not cooked all the way through. It also had a very distinct taste and smell. The type of smell and taste of old expired meat, I didn't finish or touch my food after two bites. I typically do not comment or return food but the taste and smell made the cheeseburger inedible, but in this case I did. The waitress immediately started walking away and asked loudly to the nearby tables if their food tasted like expired meat. And said well no one's every complained. After that she walked away completely ignored my concern. When she brought us our receipt to go pay she said well tell the lady at the cash register maybe she'll take it off your tab. We did not ask the cashier to take anything off and we even tipped. Their staff should recognize that this might be a concern they should double check on because it could lead to food poisoning. read more
