Ok diner that was revamped after a fire sometime ago. Prices are reasonable, for a vacation town, and the food was good. The place was clean & the staff friendly. I had the two egg breakfast: scrambled soft, rye toast & sausage patties. Wife had the eggs Benedict which the sauce had curdled but still tasted good. Only open for breakfast & lunch. I'd go back. read more

Pooh and I ate breakfast here this morning We have been to another diner for breakfast and thought the food would be great but really it was just okay. The good: coffee was delicious and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Usually I ask for easy over but some restaurants don't cook them long enough and they end up being a bit jiggly so I ordered my eggs over medium and they were exactly how I like them The toast was Rye bread. Bad: we ordered eggs over corned beef hash. The hash was too salty and mixed with beans plus I wasn't sure if it was homemade just because of the texture It's a popular place; it was packed and we had to wait in a line but it wasn't a long wait. Not sure we will return read more

Prospect Mountain Diner - Over-medium eggs over corned beef hash with Rye toast - American Near Me - Lake George, New York

Food was disappointing for a diner. Bacon was that quick microwave variety, pancakes were dry and the fruit is from a can. Service is great and friendly. Overall in a diner experience- this is subpar. read more

Absolute gem for breakfast! A blast from the past! Everything served hot and delicious and service was prompt. Server was wonderful! I'll be back! read more

This place is perfect for Lake George and is super close to the highway entrance. They have friendly service and timing is also good. This place can get busy on holiday and summer weekends, so plan ahead (as with any place in Lake George). I had an Egg white western omelette and a side salad. They were both fine. They were out of broccoli and didn't have just plain vinegar. It's good for what it is and exactly what you would expect. Remember to tip well read more

Back again this year . We enjoy coming here for a simply delicious homemade breakfast ! Yummy as usual! The only thing that was a bit of a turn off was the girl that was seating us , she was quite sarcastic as we started to enter the restaurant! She spoke to us , as if we were 5 year olds , that we had to wait outside as there was a sign on the door saying so and she proceeded to read the sign to us pointing at the words as she read it out loud ! I think she was new but really that's no excuse for speaking to costumers in that way ! Of course everyone else as always was polite and professional! read more

After reading the other reviews this Diner may have either seen a deep cleaning or full remodel when me and my boyfriend went. After seeing a "rodeo burger" on the menu here I've seen it in many other places since, never heard of it before. The inside was incredible it was like walking through a blast into the past. Waitress was a little snippy at first but warmed up quick. Homey feel inside. Food was decent. read more

This is worth the stop. Nice place and very nice people. Outdoor seating is a plus as long as weather and humidity cooperate! Had breakfast here twice. Solid menu, moderate prices (like everywhere else!) read more

The food was amazing! I would say one of the best diners in Lake George. It tasted so good, absolutely nothing wrong with it. The only problem i had was that one of the workers was a bit rude. She gave us a whole lecture about how we shouldn't point at things on the menu. The atmosphere was alright, it could do a bit of cleaning. Overall, the food was nice, but a worker in particular made me ehh.. read more

Super cute diner! Diner was super clean. I came in here after leaving Lake George with my two daughters and husband. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious. I've never left a yelp review but this was the cutest old school diner. It has the old fashioned juke boxes on the tables (just for show now though). Perfect place to grab a quick meal outside of the busy tourist area. read more

This place was "ok". The service was good. They got freaked out over us trying to split the bill between two credit cards. I had the grand slam, it was nothing to write home about. My friend had the omelette and she said it was average. The rye bread was the best part for her.... The decor was very nostalgic and pretty cute. Overall, decent breakfast place, not great but not terrible either. read more

Yummmm. Cute little diner in a convenient location in Lake George. It was packed on a Sunday afternoon but instead of waiting for a booth my friends and I agreed to sit at the counter. Our waitress took awhile to come over... but it gave us extra time to look at the menu! They have a large menu with an endless amount of options. I ordered the veggie omelet with Swiss cheese. It comes with toast + homefries. The omelet was delish but the homefries were ehh. I asked them to make everything well done and they didn't but whatev. Coffee was good and hot. My friends ordered an omelet and the French toast, both inhaled their meals as well and they said their food was great. My breakfast came to $12. They also have really cheap breakfast specials from 6am-8am!! (Check out the menu I posted it for y'all!! If you're in the area it's a good choice for breakfast! read more

Honestly I'm conflicted - the diner itself felt icky, it definitely needs a deep cleaning. However, the food was pretty good. We got a breakfast burrito, an omelette, and chocolate chip pancakes. The pancakes were great - very fluffy and delicious. The rest of the food was just what I normally could make for myself. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't amazing for the prices they are charging. The staff was friendly and our coffee was refilled without us asking. We went on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately. The waitress was quick to greet us and take our orders. Overall, it was...ok. read more

I came here for breakfast while staying at a cabin near the lake. If you are looking for a standard, regular place, this is for you. They have a very simple menu of omelets, pancakes, waffles. I got the eggs and hash with toast. There was not really much taste. It was a simple breakfast that I could probably make at home. read more

A large group of us attending the Hudson Valley Fire Convention in Lake George, NY decided to go to breakfast together for the 2nd year in a row. This is a new/old vintage style dinner and very enjoyable. Since there were 9 of us we sat outside under a tent for breakfast which was a very enjoyable day as it was about 80 with a bright sunny sky. The server brought coffee and orange juice to all that wanted it and took our orders. I ordered french toast with sausage 2 patties. I only ate one and gave the other to DH. The french toast was served without powdered sugar as I eat it with ketchup. I know this surprises you most use syrup but I grew up with dipping my toast in ketchup... Yummy! The coffee was good and server came around with refills. Now mind you usually when you are serving this many people you have to wait a while but not here. Typical dinner order and served within 15 minutes. Much better then other places we have gone to with a group in Lake George. read more

Tiny orange juice for $2.70. waited 20 minutes just for them to tell me they didn't want to sell the soup I ordered since it wasn't coming out right. I would of appreciated being informed earlier of this. We left cancelled the rest of our order. Unfortunately now I will go with out eating since we were in a rush already. If you are in a rush don't come here. read more

Great food - brkfst for 6 was perfect. Great service. Great setup. Good prices. We will be back!

We had breakfast here this morning, just ok, nothing special. My wife did not like her omelette, she said bland and tasteless. Service was good, it's very clean. It has a great location, we stayed nearby. read more

Absolutely a can miss location. Nothing special happening with the food; not bad, just pretty flavorless and boring. We've eaten here before in our frequent travels through the area and were not impressed, but it was walking distance from our hotel and after a long morning on the slopes, the geographic convenience convinced us to return. Despite only having four table counting ourselves in the whole place, service was glacial and inattentive. Had to flag down our server for everything, coffee, silverware, check, etc. Essentially she took our order and dropped off the food when it was ready, anything else we had to actively seek out assistance. The fact that she spent nearly the entirety of our meal shooting the breeze with a couple of locals at the table across from us certainly didn't help matters. It's good to take care of your regulars, but not at the expense of your other customers (another young couple who were also being ignored were loudly grumbling about the situation). The building is cute, albeit in need of a serious deep cleaning, and while the food isn't awful, there's plenty of other mediocre restaurants in Lake George where the staff at least puts forth an effort. This was definitely our last visit to Prospect Mountain Diner. read more

Every time I come up to Lake George I can never wait to come back to this little diner to have breakfast I just love this little place doesn't matter what I order it always comes out great... Was hungry for breakfast at Noon, and this was the one place we found that had "all day" breakfast! We were traveling from Lake George heading south on route 9 toward Glen Falls. Reasonably priced, especially if you catch early bird specials of the day, ask for a handwritten list. Got friendly service and good food, plus plenty of hot coffee! Ordered an omelette with bacon, spinach, mushroom and Swiss. Eggs were fluffy, and fresh veggies were lightly sautéed and folded in with cheese, perfect as ordered. Also had ordered the "combo" breakfast that had 2 eggs your way, bacon, sausage, pancakes and home fries. Eggs over easy, crisp bacon and 2 sausage patties all as expected. Home fries were OK, but we like them crispier. Good travel stop for breakfast or lunch. Did not try the homemade soups, but they sounded good. Check the diner out if out in the area. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE - save yourself the aggravation. Should have believed the bad reviews. Definitely were right. Came in for dinner with my family. The premises are deteriorating, ripped seats (foam popping out) with not even an attempt to tape them, all juke boxes are broken. Food was average, nothing spectacular. What made it horrible was the service. One older waitress with a ***t sandwich for an attitude. I was not the only patron who noticed. Very unhappy individual who should never be working in the service industry. She literally rolled her eyes after an extra request. I didn't even ask for refills on the soda as I was afraid of "extra ingredients' in the cup. Was thinking of no tip to show dissatisfaction, but then decided with a 10% last minute - BiG mistake. Somehow the owner passed that info to the waitress, who I could hear on my way out discussing me and mentioning some unsavory things about my personality. Hey owner - only reason I didn't cause a scene was because my kids were there. Terrible way to run a business, that is why it is deteriorating. Hopefully others will heed my advise and go to plenty of other diners in the area (ex: Denny's and Silo Restaurant is only few min away). read more

Great Lake George food with a really cool looking diner. Definitely on our list to return too. The only complaint is the weird "sharing charge" but that didn't deserve the drop in rating when it came to the quality of the food, price and the servers! read more

Just your regular diner food. We had 8 to seat and they had outdoor seating. The wait staff/hostess were resistant to moving tables when we asked to add another table instead of squishing everyone in two tables. The waitress claimed she could not reach some of us as the table even though there was plenty of room to move at the end of our table. Not the best service but the food was decent and the prices weren't bad. read more

Me and my friends came to this diner before driving back into the city. It wasn't busy at all for a Saturday afternoon. (We were there on June 29th, 2019.) They have the standard diner fare on the menu: waffles, omelets, burgers, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary, but nothing special either. The food was alright. The service was prompt and the staff was nice. The diner and the restroom was clean. The mini jukeboxes on the tables were pretty cute as well. It's in a good location. read more

It's an old school diner in a trailer. Good food and great service! Deff would go again if I'm ever in the area.

Good food but small portions. I had a quesadilla and was left still hungry. Convenient location and a cute diner to be at.

Went here with my family for brunch this past Saturday and had an awful experience as soon as we came in. The hostess was extremely unwelcoming and seem unwilling to seat our group (it was 12 of us) despite the restaurant being fairly empty inside and My family and I go to the Lake George area and we will never come back to this place. read more

Staff was rude told us they weren't accepting take out. We said Ok we would sit down, they said weren't taking anymore customers.

Super tiny, cutesy, old school type diner. We stopped in for breakfast and had the cream of tomato soup, breakfast usuals of omelettes and one veggie burger. The soup was like a penne sauce out of can and not to my liking. Eggs were very fluffy but the canned mushrooms made the omelette taste rather bland, and it needed some adobo and stat. The home fries which I was really looking to the most were mad disappointing. They were not crispy or made with onions and peppers but rather had a coating of what we guessed was white pepper on it. They tasted like a cabinet in my grandfathers house... no bueno man. Out of all diners, this one was unfortch on the low end of the spectrum. read more

We stopped in and the parking lot and diner were empty. With the reviews we figured we'd be fine. We had 5 people including 1 child.
