Had a wonderful breakfast experience today at flapjack Pete's!!! The service from our waitress was absolutely phenomenal she was attentive and friendly & succeeded all of our needs. I had the colossal breakfast which had pancakes (or french toast - you get to choose), 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, and hash browns. It was very good and I loved the syrup that they had it was very sweet and also cinnamon butter was provided and it was delicious. My only small complaint is I didn't really like my over easy eggs they were oily and a little bubbly on the plate. My friends also ordered sausage links and they said they were very tough and chewy. Also, they do NOT give STRAWS!!!! I found this very weird. I hate drinking from restaurant glasses. Very seasonably priced as well! read more

When in Lake George, this is our go to breakfast spot for many reasons. Emily was an excellent server on this last trip. The food is great, comes out fast and delicious. Their maple candied bacon is addictive and the coffee flows. The spot fills up quickly, but it never feels over crowded and it never gets crazy loud. Pro-tip - they open ay 730am, but if you get there at 730am, they aren't open. They open when they are ready. Worth it! read more

Ate here this morning, a Monday in July, and were seated immediately. The ambiance and decor is very cute, it feels like an authentic cabin restaurant with wood furniture and taxidermy fish mounted on the walls. The menu isn't too big which wasn't a problem for us, it had all the basics. I ordered the French toast with fresh strawberries and sausage links. Four slices of French toast came in the order which I thought was generous, usually it's about two slices only. My meal was good, the French toast was dry so the strawberries and whipped cream that I asked for definitely made it taste much better. The sausage links were tough so I only ate one. I'd probably order bacon next time as the sausages were more like a soft jerky to me because of their toughness. I also had apple juice which was very tasty. My friends had the meat lovers omelette and the colossal breakfast which they both liked. They also got a side of sausage and agreed it was tough. Our check came to just over 100$ for four people which wasn't bad. My side of strawberries was 4$ which did feel a little expensive, the side of sausage was the same amount for two small links. So I'd say some things here are a bit over priced but that's typical of restaurants these days. Overall, we had a nice experience, I'd come back but try the pancakes this time instead. We came for a Sunday breakfast since it was very close to our hotel. There were very few people here at 9 am. We assume they may have been ready to close up for the season since it is October. We were seated promptly. We decided on drinks, flap jacks and a waffle. We got our OJ and tea...and a second pitcher of hot water and teabag. I didn't need it but thought it was considerate. We didn't wait long for our food. And It looked good! My waffle was delicious with the maple butter. The home fries were good,but could've used some seasoning. My husband order blueberry flapjacks, but they were out of blueberries. He got strawberries. And a huge pile of them! Unfortunately, there was a moldy strawberry in the bunch. I was ready to give 4 stars for delicious food, until that. He had to carefully check his food to make sure there weren't more. Luckily there werent and the flapjacks were good. We get the check and it's nearly $40! For breakfast? Drinks were over $7 and each meal was $14. A bit too expensive for ok service and moldy strawberries. I hope peak season is better. read more

I've been coming to Lake George for numerous years and I have to say this place has gone downhill service and food just nothing special anymore just mediocre Ordered the eggs over easy with corned beef hash I also said that I would like to try their smoked bacon The waitress ended up just giving me two eggs on a plate with bacon I definitely said my order very clearly so it was a little irritating to wait a very long time to get the wrong order. Also the meal doesn't come with toast.... the corned beef hash was from a can. The place really advertises smoked meat like they're from Quebec but all they offer is a smoked ham and smoked bacon which is awesome just disappointing. My son ordered French toast that are stuffed and basically it was some really gross warm Jam in between too thick chewy French toast. The service the hostess was beyond Rude the first thing that she said to us when we walked in was not Hi how are you it was I don't know if you guys really want to wait 30 minutes to eat here. Lol We walked in and we knew that there would be a wait.. and all honesty it was definitely not worth the wait. Came to Lake George during the autumn off-season. Luckily did not see the older reviews for this place because it would have scared me away. But we were so happy by the time we left, we are going back tomorrow. When we arrived, we felt ignored because the wait staff also functions as the hostesses. But once we were seated, the attention given to us improved greatly. The server came several times before we were ready to order. The coffee was tasty as we looked through the menu. We ordered several omelets and some pancakes for the table. Everything was delishious, from the maple butter and genuine maple syrup on the pancakes to the Western Omelette. My kids received a side of potatoes with their meal...they were so good, we ordered another plate of them for all of us to share. Eggs cooked perfectly, delicious potatoes, good coffee and relatively good service added up to a great visit. I have been to this restaurant a few times in the past for breakfast but today was my last day there. When we first sat down and put the napkins on our lap they were both damp. Then when my order of toast arrived it had blue mold on it. The people at the table next to me went through their silverware and kept tossing it aside because it was filthy. The breakfast was delicious, thankfully. Other than that this was a frustrating visit during our vacation. We got there at 10:15 and were put on the waitlist. They said for a table with 5 seats it would be a half hour wait. There were other tables available even outdoors but they only had 4 chairs...and they wouldn't rearrange chairs...the family waiting after us for a table of 4 didn't get seated for 20 minutes even though there were open tables and they gave up and left. We usually come up here to Lake George on the "off season" so there isn't usually a long queue to get into. We have been frequenting this faux-log-in cabin eatery for over eight years and has never disappointed. The prices are little on the high side for breakfast but the quality surpasses anything you find at the best of diners. I enjoy the steak and scrambled egg with a side of hash browns. A delicious five ounce grass fed, beef of sirloin, pepper jack two slices of crispy beacon, on a hot toasted bagel. It is mostly a breakfast spot open from 7 to 1 in the afternoon. It's known for it's eggs and pancakes which are fine but I recommend Breakfast Bagel Burger, which is exceptional not to be redundant...to late it is extremely filling I never finish it, nice re-heated doggy bag for the next AM. If in Lake George you may pay the same price for the meal but you will pay for a lake vista, so circumvent those and go to Flapjack Pete's for the perfect breakfast repast! read more

Hahah! What an experience this was!!! My husband and I went inside, the hostess told us it was a 25 minute wait for a table- no big deal, it was nice out. The hostess came out and so began our journey like The Princess Bride entering the pit of despair as we made our way to the table. FIRST: The hostess provided us with old, ripped menu's that were placed on the torture table as we sat down. My husband and I looked over the menu's and mine almost split in half due to the worn crease in the middle. SECOND: The food runner/bus woman provided us with silverware and I mentioned to her we were ready to order. Silly me, I thought she was our waitress, she looked me dead straight in the eyes like Medusa. Finally, 5 minutes later the waitress came over, she seemed kind, then again, looks can be deceiving. We placed our entire order when she came over for our drink order. SIMPLE: eggs, pancakes, and a choice of bacon or sausage! After we were brought our drinks, I opened my silverware and there was still brown food crust on my fork. My knife had fingerprints and the only clean utensils I had was luckily my spoon. At least I could enjoy my coffee! THIRD: **SpongeBob Square Pants narration voice** 20 MINUTES LATER: No one has come over to our table and we still didn't have our food. We did not receive a refill on our coffee. I panicked multiple times and gave cute cat eyes like Puss in Boots, still no one acknowledged us. I felt the rejection from my 5th grade dance all over again!!! It was impossible to get anyone's attention, but I tried as hard as a stage 5 clinger to be noticed. The waitress said "Sure" to the other teen, but looked at the heavier teen and said "are you sure you want another?" I don't know how much he had already ordered or what his portion was, but just bring the kid a goddamn waffle and have him wait another 20 minutes- I'm sure he won't be hungry by the time he gets it! FIVE: FINALLY, the waitress comes out with 2 plates and I get so excited!!! I completely zoned out any conversation I was having with my husband. The waitress turns a corner and sadly goes to the table towards the window, wait, she got confused and said it wasn't their food and starts heading towards our direction. Never mind, she did a horrible "K Turn" like a new driver and went back to the other table. We were still waiting and starving. SIX: My husband gets annoyed and gets up to go outside. I wait a minute and see the hostess talking to the family of 6. The hostess scratches her knee, then goes to get them additional silverware. Great, dead skins cells of her DNA and potential Covid with your meal- now that's a happy meal!!! SEVEN: I decided it's time to meet my husband outside and start looking like Little Orphan Annie again to ask for a check.... from anyone! Heck, add my coffee and orange juice to the family of 6, I'll give them cash on my way out. EIGHT: 32 MINUTES LATER: I leave a few dollars on the table to cover our drinks, and start getting up to leave. Our waitress finally comes over and says our meal will be out in 5 minutes (I'm sorry, were you guys waiting for the hens to finish laying the eggs?). I [think I] kindly tell her, "We're going to go. My husband already left and we've been waiting over 30 minutes." Our waitress said, "I understand", but there was no apology. My husband accidentally left his hat and when he went back to get it the staff told him they didn't see it in 'The lost and found'.
