Life happens, and I'd put off routine check-ups for far too long, but I recently decided to schedule an appointment for blood work and had a list of questions, along with a need for some advice and recommendations. Scheduling was a breeze. Their patient portal is user-friendly, and the response time was surprisingly quick. Despite my last-minute request, they managed to fit me in. In the past it would take me months to see my PCP. This was a big improvement. Everything, from lab work requests to accessing clinical notes and instructions is automated in their system, so there's no hassle. On the day of my appointment, I was pleased to find plenty of parking, even on a busy weekday afternoon, which is always a plus. The clinic looks amazing and they've clearly made major renovations. The space is bright, modern, open, and spotless, with an inviting atmosphere. The staff were professional, warm, and attentive. From the receptionists to the medical assistants, everyone made me feel welcomed. During my appointment, Dr. Kakimoto addressed all of my questions and concerns with patience and detail. Even though the visit lasted only about 30 minutes, I left feeling reassured, informed, and optimistic about my health. I also love the reminder texts and emails! So helpful especially when you have so much going on. All your clinical notes are available in their patient portal app for easy access as well as all your medical records, tests, and more. I highly recommend Dr. Amy Kakimoto and North Coast Family Medical Group to anyone looking for quality care.

Dr. Clotfelter has literally changed my life, and is one of the main reasons I trust Doctors of Osteopathy infinitely more than an average PA or MD. Two of my main providers are D.O.s, and they've both effectively changed and saved my life in the way they treat the whole human being by symptoms, not just through a series of meds listed under the ICD code for your medical issue. I was sad for me (because I'm a selfish thing!) but happy for Dr. C when she took her leave to have her baby, because if her parenting is anything close to her practice of medicine, then I would like her to adopt me! In all seriousness, Dr. C may sometimes take a bit to see patients, but if that patient is me, I'm always grateful she goes above and beyond to deliver comprehensive appointments, actually tied the time to listen to me, as a human being, seeks whole-person treatment (holistic treatment is kind of what DOs are known best for, and would you rather have part of you treated, or your entire body considered when being evaluated?). It's been those times when I've needed to cry in frustration as we seek answers for my complicated medical case together that I've been most grateful to have her in my life, because I'm not sure if I will ever have (I never have before) a doctor like Christine Clotfelter, D.O. Not only is she compassionate and easy to talk to, non-judgmental and understands that sometimes human beings don't fit into the square box of standardized medicine protocols, her entire staff are just as professional, caring, patient -oriented, and respectful of every one of their patients. I've got more issues than People Magazine, and I have had nothing but the utmost professionalism, kindness, and actually beneficial treatment from Dr. Clotfelter and her entire staff. From check in to checkup yo check out, you won't find another practice in this entire county more dedicated to their patients than this medical group. I am lucky I get to be a patient here, and Dr. Clotfelter, her office and medical staff, and referrals department are all the best of the absolute best in medical integrity and dignity afforded to their patients. Anyone who thinks differently can come live in the body i had before I started seeing Dr. C. You wouldn't last a week...and I am utterly grateful for her thoughtful and caring approach to medicine.

Within the last few months, I feel like I've seen a different side of her and her office. And it's not positive. I'm a self-pay patient and have been since the beginning of my time with Doctor Olafson. I've stated it in every visit I've had with her. Recently, she keeps telling me that my prescription isn't "covered" and neglected to do her research when ordering blood tests, making sure I could afford them. Although I made a following appointment with her last year for this current year, her office asked me whether or not I had made an annual appointment for a follow up and I had to tell them, that yes, I did. So, somewhere, someone isn't doing their job and I am falling through the cracks. I no longer feel heard or that I matter to Doctor Olafson and her staff. I will be looking elsewhere for care.

First off, rating a doctor with a one star review simply because you don't like his personality is quite dubious to begin with. You don't like his mannerisms, so you give him a single star review? Basically, you're saying he is the worst of the worst in health care providers a la Dr. Kavorkian... That is absolute B.S.! I think you might be confusing one star with three stars... I have seen Dr. Korff for 2+ years now amounting to about 5 total visits. He has ALWAYS been polite, courteous and attentive to all my health concerns and needs. In fact, he has always been so thoughtful with me, that I can't even begin to imagine what horrible people "Kristofor R." or "Nancy V." must have been to Dr. Korff to even see his bad side, assuming that even happened. Really? What doctor tells this to a patient? Blood work ordered but no focus on my leg pain. No X-ray or MRI offered. She said if I still felt sick to go to ER? Second time meeting with her. She was once again dismissive, somewhat rude, showing no empathy or compassion. I felt like I was taking up her time in her busy day. She never was able to help me (with pain in left leg, hip area). She took all I said personally and defensive. Aren't doctors supposed to be trained or educated to deal with patients under pain? Again, No regard to pain I was having. No X-ray or MRI was offered. I had to ask for a physical therapy referral via online. I felt like I was diagnosing myself. She told me she didn't need new patients if I left and that she was one of the partners. Wow. Doctors need CARE model training or a refresher course if they want to keep their patients. She had the worst medical professional manners. Her words were just plain mean. No attempt on her part to create a relationship with a new patient. Very disappointing.
