I myself have been a health professional for decades. As a native San Diegan who has enjoyed a healthy, holistic, active lifestyle, and who has gone to some of the top vibrant health providers, I highly suggest you pass on this one.

Who gave this place two stars?!? Because whoever that person is clearly has the misfortune of being…read morecompletely clueless when it comes to physicians who are competent, compassionate, educated, and parent-oriented. Dr. Clotfelter has literally changed my life, and is one of the main reasons I trust Doctors of Osteopathy infinitely more than an average PA or MD. Two of my main providers are D.O.s, and they've both effectively changed and saved my life in the way they treat the whole human being by symptoms, not just through a series of meds listed under the ICD code for your medical issue. I was sad for me (because I'm a selfish thing!) but happy for Dr. C when she took her leave to have her baby, because if her parenting is anything close to her practice of medicine, then I would like her to adopt me! In all seriousness, Dr. C may sometimes take a bit to see patients, but if that patient is me, I'm always grateful she goes above and beyond to deliver comprehensive appointments, actually tied the time to listen to me, as a human being, seeks whole-person treatment (holistic treatment is kind of what DOs are known best for, and would you rather have part of you treated, or your entire body considered when being evaluated?). It's been those times when I've needed to cry in frustration as we seek answers for my complicated medical case together that I've been most grateful to have her in my life, because I'm not sure if I will ever have (I never have before) a doctor like Christine Clotfelter, D.O. Not only is she compassionate and easy to talk to, non-judgmental and understands that sometimes human beings don't fit into the square box of standardized medicine protocols, her entire staff are just as professional, caring, patient -oriented, and respectful of every one of their patients. I've got more issues than People Magazine, and I have had nothing but the utmost professionalism, kindness, and actually beneficial treatment from Dr. Clotfelter and her entire staff. From check in to checkup yo check out, you won't find another practice in this entire county more dedicated to their patients than this medical group. I am lucky I get to be a patient here, and Dr. Clotfelter, her office and medical staff, and referrals department are all the best of the absolute best in medical integrity and dignity afforded to their patients. Anyone who thinks differently can come live in the body i had before I started seeing Dr. C. You wouldn't last a week...and I am utterly grateful for her thoughtful and caring approach to medicine.

Instead of leading with compassion, Sarah became angry when I asked questions to better understand her decision making. This may come from her lack of experience and young age, causing her to feel insecure. However, those facts do not excuse her disgusting behavior. I have never experience this from a HCP before, ever! Patients always have a right to question their healthcare provider and to be part of the decision making process without fear of retribution. To make matters worse, I overheard Sarah speaking horribly about me to another staff member when she thought I'd left. Without a doubt, Sarah Landis is THE absolute worst example of an arrogant, mean-spirited provider. Run, don't walk!

Dr. Kakimoto is thorough, always takes her time to explain things and patiently answers any questions I have. I never felt rushed, quite the opposite. It is indeed challenging to schedule an appointment within a reasonably short amount of time with any of the MDs, I attribute that to the general shortage in MDs and nothing specific to Dr. Kakimoto. She was always there for me when I specifically asked to be seen by her for more critical (in my opinion) issues. Thank you Dr. Kakimoto!!!

Really? What doctor tells this to a patient? Blood work ordered but no focus on my leg pain. No X-ray or MRI offered. She said if I still felt sick to go to ER? Second time meeting with her. She was once again dismissive, somewhat rude, showing no empathy or compassion. I felt like I was taking up her time in her busy day. She never was able to help me (with pain in left leg, hip area). She took all I said personally and defensive. Aren't doctors supposed to be trained or educated to deal with patients under pain? Again, No regard to pain I was having. No X-ray or MRI was offered. I had to ask for a physical therapy referral via online. I felt like I was diagnosing myself. She told me she didn't need new patients if I left and that she was one of the partners. Wow. Doctors need CARE model training or a refresher course if they want to keep their patients. She had the worst medical professional manners. Her words were just plain mean. No attempt on her part to create a relationship with a new patient. Very disappointing.
