I have recently bought a home and contacted Property Detox on word of mouth of the company through a friend. When I reached out to call the number Mr. Jonathan was very prompt to my call and was able to assist myself and my husband and spoke in detail on what he could do to move our home. He answered all our questions with no problem at all. We moved our 3 bedroom home with no issues or problems and I had no furniture damaged at all including my antique table and chairs. He had materials that was able to protect our items which was impressive. The team was very friendly and showed up on time to our property and offered any other assistance that was needed. Mr. Jonathan also made sure to follow up with us before showing up to our property which was great and also offered to dispose of any items we no longer needed. I am about to move from Georgia back to Virginia and I needed someone to come to my two bedroom apartment to haul away my furniture. It would cost way more to transport my ten year old stuff than it was worth, so I did some research and contacted several companies. Jonathan from Property Detox responded quickly and was one of the only ones who was able to give me a quote without needing to come and give me a "no pressure" in person estimate ahead of time. I appreciated his responsiveness to my emails and questions and decided to scheduled an appointment with him, as his rates was extremely reasonable and competitive. The morning of he called me to confirm our appointment and let me know when he'd be arriving. He showed up and he and his partner walked through the apartment and I showed them what needed to be taken (versus what was staying with me). They quickly got to work and didn't waste any time. Every few minutes I'd see them walk by, hauling something else out the door. And even though I was getting rid of all this stuff they took the time and effort to make sure everything was done not only quickly, but safely and so they didn't damage any of my things or the apartment in the process. They finished my two bedroom apartment in an hour. I alloted plenty of time in my schedule (into the afternoon) for them to finish this based on my experiences with other companies, so I was pleasantly surprised and incredibly grateful that I was able to carry on with my day with so much extra time to finish other things. Very impressed with this company. I will rarely provide a 5 star rating to anyone.. but they deserve it, from start to finish. When I initially contacted the company, Jonathan mentioned that their schedule was tight but I asked if he would try to accommodate me and he said he would check the schedule and call me back. He checked his schedule and got back to me and told me they could get to me, And sent the contract over for review and signature. On moving day, he kept me updated on their arrival time. On arrival, Introduced himself as well as his crew and walked through the rooms so that I could identify the items that he would need to move. Although I was moving is a very short distance/less than a mile away,---they wrapped all of the furniture items and then moved them in a professional manner which precluded any damage to my property. I had a few items that I had not discussed with him on the phone, but they were able to accommodate me and included the items. I called about a week ago to get a quote after seeing them listed among the "Best of the Best" on Yelp. Jonathan listened to all my details and quoted me $90/hr for a 3 man crew w. a 26ft truck. He said this would be most efficient and easiest way to ensure a speedy move. We agreed upon Tuesday morning and he let me know that they would be there promptly at 10am. The night before, my husband and I took some time to pre pack and arrange everything best we could into the garage. I was really concerned with them being able to get done in an efficient manner because I had read plenty of horror stories from OTHER agencies about crews that milk billable time. Let me just say, this is not the case with Property Detox. They arrived promptly at 10am and got to work loading the truck. In under an hour, 75% of the items had already been loaded onto the truck. (Keep in mind, I did pre pack and place things in an accessible location). Within the first hour/half, they were already on their way to my new home. The unloading was just as efficient as the load up was. They carried items where they needed to go .. maneuvering larger pieces through narrow doorways with nary a scratch. Every items was efficiently and carefully placed in the specified room. No complaints were heard even when they brought a very heavy dresser into the top floor....only to be redirected downstairs into the basement. This was probably the most headache-free move I've ever had ...and I've been through at least 20 in my lifetime. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone needing a move in the area. Property Detox helped me with my recent move, and they did a great job. This was my first time using movers, so I don't have a lot to compare to, but I thought their rates were fair and the work was good. I contacted about 6 moving companies and Property Detox had the lowest hourly rate and fees. They took care of all my stuff and carefully wrapped even my crappy Ikea furniture ;) They were communicative during the move and made sure they had moved everything to my satisfaction. They have a three hour minimum and they worked quickly during the three hours to make sure they didn't go over time. They accept payment in cash, check, or credit card. Super convenient because I definitely didn't think ahead enough to carry cash! I'm giving four stars, not five, for two reasons: - They came 45 minutes late (wasn't a big deal because they had called to say they were en route) - When I booked the services, I had to ask for a confirmation email. After reading the good reviews here on Yelp, I decided to go with my gut and choose this company. The two most important things to me personally were the care taken to not scratch or damage my stuff in the move and also for it to be done in a timely manner seeing as how with most movers you pay by the hour. Jonathan (the owner) is who answered the phone when I called to schedule and he was there the day of the move to make sure everything went perfectly. Everything was wrapped well before being put on the truck and nothing got damaged in any way. Jonathan was great and I can tell he takes a lot of pride in doing things the right way. These guys are great!!! We were moving from a first floor apartment in one city to a second floor in another city and just knew it would be a difficult process. Jonathan was very easy to communicate with and told me up front what would be done and what it would cost. The day of the move, he and Mike showed up within the window of time that was communicated, walked through our old place to see what would need to be moved and got to work straight away! Talk about efficient! They had everything wrapped, padded and loaded in what seemed like no time. Very quick, very professional, very careful and very considerate. And when we arrived at the new place, regardless of the fact that we had to go up one level, they again moved very quickly and efficiently and had us unloaded in no time. These guys are no joke! Jonathan and his team moved our family and they did an amazing job! I could not believe how efficiently they worked. I was so worried about not having enough money, so I just asked them to move the big items. However, they were so fast, they ended up moving almost all 3200 sq ft of our house. (except a few things I hadn't packed yet). They took time to make sure our items were safely stored on the truck while still working at a speedy pace. The whole team was very friendly and personable. I don't like to recommend anybody, unless I am 100 percent sure about their service. Property Detox is an amazing company! A side note, as a former owner of a moving company; having to have beds or other items disassembled and put back together is always time consuming, so we had ours all disassembled. This will save you quite a bit of money, if you know how to do it. read more

Called this place to schedule a move. We agreed on the specifics and I was told a contract and deposit request would follow after we hung up. Days later and after several follow-ups, I still haven't received the contract or confirmation and they have been ignoring me. Instead of being honest about no longer being able to do the gig, they chose to simply ignore me. Very poor business practices, esp in a stressful industry like moving. read more

I have done pro-mover moves at least 20 times in my life, so I have seen the good, bad and ugly and know when I see great. Great = the Property Detox crew. Accurate estimates, friendly and experienced team, prompt (even early!) arrival and careful handling while delivering efficient service. My requests were fulfilled to the letter as far as placement of my items in the home. My task including emptying my PODS container into my new home; when it was empty, the gentlemen were thoughtful enough to grab a push-broom and sweep out the debris for me so that I didn't have to do so later. It is that kind of "extra" that is the hallmark of the true professional and of a business that simply cares about people - along with its reputation. I recently had a washer and dryer moved from hapeville to Brookhaven Jonathan and the guys not only came early they had it picked up and delivered in 40min . Let me mention both residences have stairs . I was beyond impressed with them . I found the business on Craigslist and of course was skeptical but you couldn't beat the price. I was iffy about using them from the jump just because the only reviews I found about them were the one on there website and they were all positive. That might seem good, but usually it means something else. That was not the case here, there reviews are all good because they are a legit, hard working, trust worthy company. I even left them alone for an hour and a half and when I returned they had been working hard the whole time and it showed! I was impressed! I was coming across the country to pack a storage unit for my sister and everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong with my trip! EXCEPT PROPERTY DETOX! Even when my source of transportation fell through, they gave me ride back to where I was staying. They truly were worth it! This moving company said sure let me just get a time for you. They got there on time, they did not stop working for a single minute. They were so helpful and really went above and beyond. I chose Jonathan not only because of the flawless reviews but also because of his professionalism when I spoke with him on the phone. Property Detox, was recommended by another moving company. The move overall was good. One issue of concern was that upon completion, I went to play my Video Game. I am an avid Madden Gamer. I turned on my XBOX360, and notice to my surprise the game was not in the console. I carefully checked the console and game package. I know the game was inside, due to the fact that I played the game earlier that morning. The game was not inside either. I then looked at another game package(Madden16,PS4) Again to my surprise this game was not inside it's package as well. I immediately contacted the owner(J. Johnson) . He informed me that he would speak with his employees about this concerned. He contacted me a day later, stating he was still looking into it.
