You might be looking at some of these reviews and wondering if you should visit. But I guarantee you the nay sayers are wrong on this one. The owner is friendly and his wife is as well. People who go there and complain about long winded explanations or a condescending attitude from the staff don't really understand. These guys have a Phd. in all things gaming. They do follow the "market price" for a any given game or console because the large majority of them are no longer being made. I haven't tried to haggle yet. I write this review with heavy heart. I walked in with high hopes considering the signs displayed outside. First off if you've ever seen the hoarder shows this is what it feels like. The space is cramped and stuff is piled so high you can't see what they have to offer. Once you squeeze through the first room you go to the other area that is just as congested. It's smelled musty with a mixture of something rank. As people came in the space that was small got smaller. I felt claustrophobic. Definitely would suggest they clear out and display their stuff to where it is more accessible. They seemed to have a lot of great items and it has potential but in the state it's in it's a hard pass for me. I wouldn't come back. The one time I went. I thought the service was really good. I thought everybody in there was really kind. They returned policy is very fair. They allow you to go test the game and come back within a week or two. If it doesn't work or test it in store. The selection at the time was pretty good as well. The only thing that I don't like about this place is the hours are awful. That's why I gave it. Four stars instead of five. They close at 5pm which seems terrible. I went into this place with high hopes. The inventory was massive with something for every gamer. I think in the right hands this store could do well. My first complaint is the most obvious one, the pricing. Everything is ridiculously overpriced. If I had to guess, thats probably why they're overstocked. My second complaint is that the douche bag who's running that place is a condescending fool with the mentality of an adolescent, lacking the understanding required to communicate with customers. They like to talk your ear off if you ask one question. Then there's no clear line of where you are not allowed, I was basically snapped at for being in an area that customers could not go, but they had hundreds of games hidden in that area. I had asked to look at the complete box of Pokémon Firered and the owner said it was for serious buyers only and notified me of the price I guess expecting me to be surprised.....I had bought completed Pokémon boxes from other people and shops with them letting me look at the condition first with no issues. But I guess the owner determines this just by looking at you. I did walk out with a couple of things but I am never returning to this store. Don't waste your time if you are looking to spend money but don't know exactly what you want. Bad customer service all together. We were Visiting San Antonio and we really wanted to stop by this place to buy something before heading home. She has the whole store blocked off so that you cannot browse. You need to know exactly what it is that you want and if they have it she will go get it for you. There's a vast selection of vintage tapes, video games, etc that it's honestly impressive. However, due to it being cramp and Covid-19, you're not allow to browse - which takes the fun apart of visit video games stores. It's great if you already have a game in mind, but if you want to look around for the fun of it, it's just not the place to go. I hope that in the future it will open up more and maybe renovate it self to be bigger (the entrance is cramp). Maybe you've heard but I'm a gamer. I've played it all, from Super Mario Bros / Duck Hunt on my NES to Gears of War 3 on my 360 but I have a special place in my heart for retro gaming. I'm an only child so let's just say that I grew close to Lara Croft, Link and Spyro during my younger years. Wandering around with Katy B., I happened upon Propaganda Palace on McCullough and was blown away by their massive no, wait, MASSIVE selection. I thought Game Over Videogames held the crown for retro supply but no, Propaganda is where it's at. The first room you enter houses hundreds (possibly thousands, I'm not so good at the math stuff) of movies on VHS and the next room is where I almost shed tears of joy. Whether you're into Genesis (you rock), Sega Saturn (you rock less), or GameGear (welcome to the cool kids club) games, they had loads and loads of it. They also sell all types of consoles and even have the all-gold limited edition Legend of Zelda N64. This is like mecca for me, I had to stop and spend a good 20 seconds rubbing this console for the good luck that it's bound to carry. Propaganda Palace is indeed a magical place and I plan to go there so often, I'm thinking of just forwarding my paychecks there. I may have a problem but it's a effin sweet problem. read more

First off, other than mask wearing, there wasn't a sign posted in or outside the store about their Covid protocol. So, I drove by this place on my way to a restaurant. On the way back I was driving by again and decided to double back and see what it is about. SO GLAD I DID. The place is a decent size but AJ (The Owner) has wall to wall stuff in here. I went in to look for a specific game for my Sega Genesis and he had it (with the case). I took about 7 pictures to post because this is a place that you really need to experience. AJ's father is something of a Video Game OG. He knows more than your average bear and he makes sure that you a satisfied with your purchase before you leave the store. I will definitely be back. read more

If I could give less stars than 1 I would. TLDR: they are liars and thieves. I brought my playstation 4 to have the hdmi port replaced. They kept it for 2 months! Never called me to pick it up. I had to hound them in order to have it returned to me. They labeled it "non-fixable." Art, the older gentleman that runs the repair aspect of the store, returned my playstation 4 to me with the wifi reciever and all of the screws that hold the parts in place MISSING. When I tried to speak to him about the new rattling noise (no screws!!) it was making he kicked me out of the store and accused me of only wanting things for free. They stole my parts and sat on my system hoping I'd give up and forget about it so they could steal and use my parts for other repairs. read more

I went to this store thinking it would be cool no matter what. The store itself is exactly the kind of game store I like to shop at. It's very unorganized and a little grimey, which for me is the sort of store I enjoy looking around in because they usually have the best stuff and the best prices. I got half of that assumption right. It became very clear when talking to the owner, that he has personal ties with his inventory. He's essentially a collector with a ridiculous abundance in stock and because of that I get the feeling its hard for him to justify selling anything at a fair price. The markup on all of the USED products he's selling feel at least two times more then they should be priced. TLDR; Cool store to go look around in, they have a great inventory.
