It's a small simple shop with about 10 tables. The shop wasn't busy during our off-season visit. The menu (on the wall) offers New York style pizza, calzones, pasta and salads. Prices are amazing for a downtown establishment. The pizzas are pre-made and heated upon ordering. Breadsticks are a popular item that everyone seemed to order. Quick, no fuss establishment featuring regular and Tex-Mex flavors on boardwalk style pizza. The crust perfectly holds up the toppings and came out pipping hot. We've been here 30 minutes, still no food, but on the bright side, the inside temperature is hovering around "blast furnace" levels. I was in the area going to the Capitol building. When leaving I saw this place. For some reason, I remember hearing about it, but with covid everyone kind of scaled back eating out. I went in very small place. The lunch special is till 2pm. You get a slice, bread stick, and drink for almost $12.00. I opted for a slice that was almost $7.00. You pick what slice you want. There are different flavors of pizzas, probably 6 different choices. I got the margarita pizza. If you eat there, there's not alot of room. The staff is very nice, the place is clean, but the pizza did not wow me. I can at least say, I have seen it, and eaten here. They have a good variety of pizza slices to choose from. Yes, good pizza and good people. Pizza can be ordered by the slice, or the whole pizza. We ate here with a group of 4 and had a most wonderful time and food. The owner took our order, his wife (who he claimed makes a better pie) made the pizza and he delivered it to our table. When we walked in he told us they had just received a call-in for 18 pizzas! But I think he moved us up the list because our pizza came out in perfect timing. Perfect New York style for folding or eating regular (I did both). As I returned to my office at the Indiana Government Center this week for the first time in over a year, I couldn't help but look around the downtown area at some of the old familiar businesses that simply couldn't survive a year that brought devastation upon a myriad of indie businesses. One of those "old familiars" was Tammy's International Pizza Sensation, a divey little pizza joint you couldn't help but love located in a fairly non-descript retail spot directly across from the Indiana Government Center. When the Government Center pretty much sent most employees to work from home, that spelled doom for many of those area businesses that relied on that business and convention foot traffic. Tammy was a delight and it's sad to see that pizza joint go away. The good news is that a new pizza joint has taken its place, Pronta Pizzeria, a Hispanic-owned place opened up by Carlos Lopez that is just as simple, just as divey, maybe even a little bit better in terms of taste, and an absolute delight in terms of customer service. Quite a bit of the interior is similar to what existed with Tammy's. You enter and the front-area dining room is fairly narrow with room for a handful of tables. The interior decor is fairly basic, though they've added multiple wide-screen monitors on the wall to broadcast their menu. The menu consists primarily of a wide variety of pizza, both by the slice and pies, along with calzones, subs, pastas, salads, breadsticks, and a couple desserts. They offer slice combo options on pretty much all their slices with combos including a large slice, a couple plain breadsticks (with cheese or marinara sauce), and a drink. The drinks are all cans/bottles. The combos start at around $8.25 and go up. I ordered a sausage slice, two breadsticks, and grabbed my bottle of unsweetened iced tea. The woman working the counter was super friendly and helpful. The pizza slice was extremely good - both breadsticks and pizza were nice and hot upon arrival. The breadsticks were also quite good. I'm not sure I'd say either item was the best I'd had, however, this was definitely upper tier for "by the slice" joints. I'd easily order both items again and easily return again. This is primarily a neighborhood/downtown pizza joint. There are meters along the government center. There are also parking garages around. The sidewalk is a little beat up, but there are appropriate curb cuts. The counter is rather tall, but the woman working the counter went around it to be sure to establish eye contact with me. That was appreciated. Overall, Pronta is definitely a welcome addition to the neighborhood. You can easily get a combo for under $10. While the interior is simple and a bit divey, it's clean and very comfortable. When it gets crowded, it can be a bit difficult in a wheelchair but it's workable and most of the state employees who dine here are used to dealing with accessibility and easily make it work. I'm not quite ready to call Pronta a 5-star joint, but it's a solid 4-star joint and the kind of little indie pizza joint I love to give my business. The prices are fair, the food is great, and the employees are super friendly. I'll definitely be back. read more

My husband and I were hungry for pizza tonight and we wanted to try a new place. We saw this place delivered via Uber eats and decided to try it. Boy am I glad we did! Everything was hot when it was delivered. I got a calzone with pepperoni and sausage and it was delicious. I also got some pepperoni breadsticks and they were very tasty as well. My husband got the Hawaiian pizza and it was awesome too. Everything was really good and we will definitely be ordering from here again soon! It may become our south side pizza destination. I was happy to see a new pizza place open in the spot formerly occupied by Tammy's International Pizza. This is a great location within easy walking distance of the government center, convention center, downtown Marriott hotels and Westin. We stopped in for a quick takeout lunch and were warmly greeted by the staff. We tried the slice combo which comes with breadsticks (w/ marinara or cheese dipping sauce) and a canned or bottled drink. You can also sub a salad for an extra $.50. They had a good selection of pizzas by the slice which were fast and ready to go after a quick finishing minute in the oven. Their pizzas are fresh and artisan style with freshly made sauce and a light chewy crust. Slices were huge and prices were very fair for the downtown location. Lunch for 2 was just over $20. I was walking down the street and the owner came out to say hi! Very friendly! He invited me in and showed me around. It smelled amazing. I was dressed to the nines on my way to a wedding and it was all I could do to not buy many slices of pizza! It was very hot out and I was wearing a suit. So I did enjoy a couple cold beverages from their refridge. It was a great experience. This place is new but it will be around for a long time. They have multiple options, as well! I had leftovers for lunch the next day, which made the value even better. I grabbed my food to go, but there are a few tables if you'd rather eat there.
