Wow, I hate to leave a bad review but hope no one goes through what I went through with this company. I don't know that I've dealt with any business ruder and more careless, and for a service related to buying a home! Not once did the closing agent reach out to introduce herself or make herself available. When she finally sent an electronic copy of the closing calculations there were a couple of errors. I called to try to get this corrected and all she would do was interrupt me. The office was no help. I finally had to get my bank involved. When I arrived for the closing, the seller and I were both treated like children instead of adults there to document a purchase. The seller had to ask for his check. Place this Title Company at the bottom of your list! They could care less about helping Realtors, Sellers and Buyers to close the deal. Their standard response when you ask a question is to say "we are just snowed under, we have so many files to work on, we have not had time to work on your file yet as I have 15 files to get ready for tomorrow"! I have been working in real estate for since 1994 and this is the first time I have felt the need to let others know just how bad this company was. They also throw up road blocks and red flags where there is no reason to. Bottom line is find another Title Company, there are plenty of them out there, and there is no reason for you to take a chance on getting the same kind of service we did. We had problems closing on our new home and I think the majority of the blame falls on the title agency. They didn't get the paperwork to the selling agency on time and thus the entire closing was delayed until the next day. After that we had to drive out to their office on the second day for closing since they couldn't find the time to send a representative to our agent's office. I would have selected a negative rating if possible. First, our closing was delayed days and almost fell through do to them not being able to produce a closing statement. I was almost sued for not selling my prior residence as I did not want to be homeless without a house to move into. We finally got past that and they fail to pay my taxes that were set-up through escrow. At this point, I was the one that pointed out to them they failed to pay my taxes and have now missed the reduced amount. We also incurred penalties too. Turns out since I did not pay my taxes in 2019 I will have more than the allowed deduction on my taxes for 2020. Overall, the worst financial transaction I have dealt with in my life. I would never do business with them again. I have also shortened the complaint as way more than that occurred. Also, Guardian Savings Bank who says they have nothing to do with Prominent, is owned by the high ups at Guardian for the most part. read more

After closing, funds were not sent to the bank until the following day causing a delinquency for ME. Closing paperwork was supposed to be emailed to me, I still don't have it. Can I give zero stars? I was selling my condo and live out of state. If my realtor had not been on top of it I am not sure we would have ever closed. They screwed up the paperwork. Couldn't spell the name of my street correctly so they could never find the file. It took 5 reminders to have them send me (a pdf) fedex form to send the paperwork back. They stopped taking calls from my realtor and just kept passing the buck. Amateur hour to the nth degree. They were late to closing so I did not get my proceeds the day of closing. To top it all off the president's voicemail is full. Extremely unprofessional. Just terrible. Don't ever use them. read more

If there was a way to do ZERO stars, I would do so. Customer service was non-existent, I had to get my own payoff statements, complete lack of follow through. The worst though - they sent my payoff statement to a third party without my consent. This contains PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and should never be forwarded to anyone without expressed written consent AND you should be able to explain to the customer why you are requested to send it. Not just "the BUYERS bank asked and it won't get approved without it". I would not recommend them to close in a mobile home and I would NEVER recommend them for a closing a loan for a Private Banking customer! read more

The title company told us to bring an extra 16.00 at closing because they missed a fee.. at closing we brought the cash, and closing was complete.. the next day they sent us an email telling us we owed an additional 1500.00 because they made a mistake on hud settlement statement.. needless to say we were not happy with this major error.. we requested and received a refund for their services.. I would have given 1 star had they not agreed to waive fee.. they did recognize the error and made it right.. the fact that they refunded us their fee was the right thing to do in this case.. definitely a step in right direction in making the customer happy.. read more

Because they were a week behind I had to move all of my belongings into a storage unit and not into my new home! I've never dealt with more incompetent people in my life. The absolute worse! Incredibly poor communicators. The Buyers chose this agency but as Seller I paid for the "service". They emailed a document which would permit them to COPY my realtors. However, without telling me, they used that to totally keep me out of the information loop. This was particularly problematic as I was out of town. They failed to send me a copy of the closing estimates for review and only minutes before the closing notary showed up on my doorstep was I able to obtain them. (They supposedly sent them to one of my two realtors, who they had been informed was out of the country.) They did not provide in advance any of the necessary paperwork to cancel my automatic mortgage deduction and would not agree to fax it to the mortgage company to ensure it was received timely. They failed to even inform me of the time of the closing. It took place earlier today and they have not contacted me to inform me that it was successfully concluded. I have no indication that they promptly wired the funds to my account, another service that I paid for, and I'll have to follow up on that tomorrow. (They had wanted $35 to simply send my check via next day mail.) In my opinion, Prominent Title did not handle any aspects of the transaction in a professional manner and have no concept of what good customer service looks like. It was highly frustrating and I would absolutely never recommend them to anyone. read more

Tracie Dooley was our closer from this agency on our house we sold. She was rude! We got there at the time we said we would, between 5:00 and 5:15. The buyer had started at 4:30, but due to my husband's work, there was no way for us to arrive at that time, and everyone was aware of that. Before I even had time to say hello to our agent, she was snapping "I need your IDs." When my husband said he had his own pen, she replied sharply, "I need you to sign in blue." She also kept asking him if she needed to explain anything, when he was just reading the documents he was signing. She seemed to want to be anywhere but there and that we were bothering her. She needs to work on her customer service skills. read more
