EDIT: after talking to several classmates I found out that everyone is avoiding this center for the issues I listed below. The lagging and screens going blank have been going on for months and it's been costing students exam time. They will tell you that your time is not running out but it 100% is RUNNING OUT. I kept track of my time and I lost minimum 20 minutes. Original review: if I could give this place a 0 I would. As soon as I checked in for my exam the lady told me "if the computer lags just wait for it, it will eventually work", which was a huge red flag but I had to take my test. The computer didn't just lag between questions, the screen went completely blank multiple times during my test. When I asked for help they told me to wait for the page to load and that my time wasn't running out. Turns out my time was in fact running during those lags and during the complete black out screens. They told me that the ONLY thing they can do for me is to report this issue for me, which they didn't do. As a medical student I have taken many MANY proctored exams before but I have never been in a shittier situation during an exam. I lost nearly 20 minutes of exam time (which is HUGE considering that I only get 1.5 minutes per question). This exam is part of my licensing so it's a huge deal for me to pass it on the first try, yet the center did NOTHING about it. They continue to proctor exams with their ancient computers for profit while jeopardizing the future of many students. I will be reporting this center and their behavior to every possible entity and I hope they get shut down. read more

I had a very comfortable exam experience! Parking lot was easy to park in for my exam, restrooms were easy to get to when I needed it. I expected the testing room to be freezing cold like in other prometrics I've been at, but the temperature was actually very comfortable for me with one sweater over a short sleeved shirt. The monitor display quality was perfectly adequate for my exam as well. Lastly, the two women running the testing center (I unfortunately didn't get their names) when I was taking my morning exam were actually so kind! They made my experience so much better. Sat here for SHRM exam. When you get in, you're asked to show ID and you get a key to a locker, where you can put all your things away. You will be asked to lift your pants to show your ankles, same with your sleeves. Metal detector is also being used. You'd be asked for doing all of it again in case you'd be using the restroom during your exam. You sign it with exact time of arrival and start your exam. I think I'd have appreciated earplugs more than the noise cancelling headphones. There was a man sitting behind me that kept on coughing and I could hear every bit of it. It was extremely distracting. All ladies there were very polite. read more

I had a decent, smooth experience taking my medical boards here for two days. The testing room was quiet and had good noise-cancelling headphones. I am mainly writing a review for this testing center to shout out one of the staff members who is an older white male (his name - might - have been Troy?). He had excellent customer service and was friendly to all the test takers. What really stood out was there was a Chinese lady who visited the testing center to scout out the location prior to her actual test, and you could tell she was very nervous. Troy went out of his way to give her a tour of the facility, run through what she needed to bring during her actual test day, and check the roster to verify her appointment. He really went above and beyond to help a customer who didn't even have their exam that day. There is a Chinese dumpling house and a Filipino restaurant in the same plaza which is always a plus. Lots of parking space for long test days. read more

The staff here are rude, very unprofessional, and disrespectful. My exam specified to be there 12pm and this email was sent to me by the Prometric center. I came exactly at 12pm and the front staff started accusing me of being 30 min late, stating that I needed to be 30 min earlier than your exam as it states so in the email. I told him I read the email thoroughly and it did not state to be here 30 min earlier, otherwise I would have. I showed him my email and he saw that it said 12pm to be there and nothing written in my email stated to be there earlier, so he knew it wasn't my fault, yet he gave me an attitude as if I'm late and it's my fault and yet he still blames me. Then when I proceed to take my exam, the lady who checks me into the room also continues to accused and blamed me for being late even though she heard the entire conversation with the initial guy and hearing that it wasn't my fault. She gave me a lot of heat and such a big attitude, that she made me feel so uncomfortable right before my test, stating that I'm late and that I'm suppose to be here earlier, as if it's my fault. Like okay, I would have if the email had explained and stated for me to do so, which it clearly did not and I have the proof. No empathy at all. Just a sad, mean lady who hates her job and hates the people coming here that she needs to service. Very stuck up, disrespectful staff with no skills in customer service. Just there to clock in and out to cash out their paychecks. Come here if you want them to collect your money and then to be treated like trash. read more

I took Step 1 here, and I wanted to write this review to shout out staff member SARA! She was so kind and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during my exam. Kind words of encouragement really make a difference for some test takers, and seeing/hearing positivity and smiles is something I haven't experienced at other Prometrics. If you test here, I hope you get Sara and Taylor as your proctors! This location has professional staff members, is much quieter than other Prometrics, and the bathroom was clean. Great location, much better than the Anaheim location except the drama and the chit-chat between the staff is way too much. I could even hear them gossiping about me and laughing at me before I took my test when I was reviewing some notes which was very unprofessional. They hire immature kids to watch over people taking life-determining exams. I could see when the supervisor came the next day, everyone was quiet and no drama or gossip. The male staff were way more professional and committed but two of the girls were there just to chat, laugh and gossip about their work environment and coworkers. I could even hear them while taking my test. I could hear them talking about boyfriend/relationships and guys they like during my break very loud. Also, they are so strict about the mask. For God's sake everyone is immunized and they don't even allow you to open your mouth inside. If you are taking too long to open the locker, they yell at you to move away. Such a toxic horrible service we have to deal with in this stupid education system that we have to take tests with Prometric. Bathrooms are cleaner than other locations so I will give them a star for that. Just be ready for the loud girls talking about what "I like in a guy", to be "tall, pay the bill blah blah" and more stuff that will make your brain hurt from stupidity. read more

I had a certification exam here and this was the closest testing center to me. I had a bit of trouble finding it but it's right at the corner of the plaza, in the same suite as the Sylvan Learning Center. I've been to other Prometric Testing Centers before and this one was okay, but not as good as the other one I've been in. This one is also a really small testing center, probably a third of the space of my previous one. This one also doesn't give out earplugs, unlike the other one as well. It's stressful to take tests, and it's nerve-wracking in the moments leading up to it. When I was being instructed on what to do, it seemed like they just wanted to get the procedure over with so you're off their tails as soon as they can. Since I know the procedure, I already knew what they wanted me to do. However, for someone who may be coming here to take a test for the first time, I feel like they would be more stressed out from the commands they were being given. At my other Prometric center, the tone that they spoke to you with was a lot more comforting and easy-going, so that the actual check in procedure wasn't stressful at all. It's a bit hard for me to explain, but if I could give an example, here they just told me to "Place [my] ID here. Face it towards [them]", whereas in the other testing center they would say "May I please see your ID". The people at the other center were a lot more polite with their wording. Once you get to the actual testing room then it's about the same. There are a few rows of computers with large dividers between each station so that you can't easily look over to the person's computer next to you. There are cameras overlooking each computer so the person right outside can keep tabs on everyone and make sure no one is cheating. They also have noise cancelling headphones as well as headphones for audio if your test needs it. As for covid protocol they are doing the best they can. Before you even enter the building they will take your temperature. There are only 3 chairs in the waiting area spread as far as they could from each other. When you go into the testing area, they will disinfect your station, including the headphones, right before you get in and sit down. You can definitely smell the disinfectant right when you walk in, so they're definitely not being lazy about it. read more

Professional staff and the environment is quite and feel comfortable to take the NMLS exam. Unlike the testing site in Anaheim the monitor at this Diamond Bar Prometric Testing center font and monitor I was assigned to was larger. It helped me see clearly and passed my test with flying color. This NMLS test is a beast and I did see another got really mad leaving the testing site. I recommend this place for all exams. It's a lucky testing site. Well not all luck. You must put in the work and study. It's nice that the restroom is on the same floor and big monitor. I came here for my CFP Exam on November 10th. I also did my Series 7 here back in 2014. Both were pleasant experiences. This time around, it was during a raging pandemic. I found the precautions they take to be encouraging. First, they take your temperature before you enter. They only allow you to enter one at a time, take a spaced out seat, and then get you set at your testing space. Even when coming in and going out, they take extra precautions to make sure you have no contact with anyone. I also saw them diligently cleaning the testing spaces after someone was finished. If I ever have to test again, this is my first choice for a location. read more

Took the BPELSG Seismic and Surveying exams at this location and would highly recommend! Exam was ~3 hours. - Scheduled an 8AM exam on Friday/Sat, arrived at 7:15AM to destress and was either first or second in line. Staff let us in at 7:30AM. - Checked in at the front desk and received a locker key. - 2 gender neutral restrooms in the back and both were clean! - I was able to take my time at the lockers before entering the area where staff check your reference materials (bring a banker box), earplugs, mask, and pockets etc. You get two #2 pencils and 2-folded 11"x17" for scratch paper. - Testing room was quite (although I was first), wore a sweater and sweats because it was colder in the morning. Desk chairs were surprisingly comfortable and testing area was well lit (I think the table is 24"x48", but seemed deeper than 24"). - RELAX... Just follow the ~10min testing tutorial and get familiar with the testing format before you the test timer actually starts and you get wrecked. Pros: - Clean testing environment. - Easy parking. - Indian food next door! Cons: - Dividing door/wall between proctors and examinees is rather thin. I had earbuds and was placed 2-3 cubes away, could hear staff mumbling about something... I couldn't make out words, but if distant talking disturbs you maybe request a farther cube. - Router was on the desk and look up space. read more

RUDE AND SAD. Don't come here if you want to do well. It was so hard to find this place and I ended up driving in circles. If you don't have a choice, this place is located in the plaza with Pizza Hut. You find Pizza Hut and you walk along the plaza in the corner in which it says Sylvan Learning Center. I went in and it there were signs to take the GRE. It was so confusing and dingy compared to other places like Glendale. The lighting was as bright as a hospital room and it was also freezing. If you need to do any test, go to the Glendale location since its all the same. read more

Took STEP (medical boards) here. 100% recommend. What to expect: - If you have an 8 AM test, the earliest they let you in is 7:30. If you were there at like 7:20, you were first in line. - There's a front desk. You give them your STEP scheduling permit. They check your ID. They give you a key to a small locker. It's not big enough for a normal backpack. Good enough for a lunch box. No refrigerator. There's a water cooler with cups, so you don't need to bring your water bottle. - Next, you go to a back room. They take your picture. You sign a paper. They inspect your glasses. You empty your pockets and lift up your pants to expose your ankles. - Next, you enter the test room. Spacious and brightly lit room. Looks like it had like 20 computer stations. You get a big cubicle. The chair has armrests. - You start testing. STEP software looks like UWorld. Not the NBME software. The arrow keys on the keyboard don't work for moving between questions. All mouse clicking. The room has a lot of clicking sounds I didn't find it too distracting. - For me, temperature in the room was good enough for a t-shirt and jeans. I didn't feel cold or hot. - There are 2 bathrooms for your breaks. Check in and out for breaks took no time at all. Pros: - Clean, quiet testing environment. - Nice staff. The plaza that this facility is located in has a Filipino supermarket. The testing center is located within Sylvan Learning Center. It's actually just one tiny room with 20 or so computers separated by dividers. Parking in the lot is easy and free. There are also a couple of coffee shops (i.e. It's a Grind and Starbucks) located within a couple of blocks of the testing center in case you want to get some last minute caffeine or studying done. The people who check you in are nice and adequate in terms of speed, not super fast and not super slow. There are lockers to put your things in and a coat rack for your jackets. Jackets must either be worn or left in your locker or on the coat rack. The temperature inside the room was about room temperature, but I felt a little suffocated in there, which I have never really had a problem with at other testing centers. I'm not sure if it was because it was too hot/stuffy inside (I was wearing cotton pants and a shirt, and it was a hot, summer day), or if I was too nervous, or possibly both. I did not feel comfortable during the test, however, and had to take a break to get some air. The restrooms are clean and smell nice. Another thing that might be a problem for some is that it felt a bit dim in the room. The monitor (Dell brand) was not that bright at its brightest. In terms of noise, there was barely any. I'd recommend bringing your own earplugs because I heard nothing when I had them on. I'll likely come back here to take a test, but I'd probably come back on a less hot day and with shorts on. read more

Located inside Sylvan Learning Center, in the corner of the plaza. Walk straight in past the tutors and there's a little room for the testing center. Check in is slow, despite me arriving 30 min earlier. Restrooms are located in the back. The lobby is suuuuper stuffy and feels a bit too warm. The walls are thin, so ask for EARPLUGS. I could even hear the talking through my earplugs. The staff is kinda inconsiderate in that sense, bc they talk to each other, but don't realize how thin the walls are. Plus people are taking other tests in there, some that require typing which is why you should ask for earplugs. And the monitors aren't very bright and the keyboard seems like they haven't cleaned them.. like ever. read more

Parking was fine and available but not plentiful. The testing environment is adequate but not comfortable and not helpful to do well on a test. The temp in the room was way too warm to be comfortable. In the whole center, the only room that was adequately air conditioned is the small one where the staff sits. They put a fan in the door to distribute some of the air to other rooms. I was surprised with how dirty the place was. The waiting room had cobwebs on the ceiling that were heavily laden with dust. Your clothes are what cleans the chairs; they had dust anyplace not touched by someone sitting on them. read more

Really had a pleasant experience taking two 9 hour board exams here. The Prometric here is located within Sylvan so just keep walking straight when you walk in the front; restrooms are across the hall to the left past all the little kiddos in their tutoring sessions who strangely enough reduced my stress levels during breaks. The staff members here were wonderfully efficient and very friendly. This is also one of the smallest Prometric centers I've been to since there are only about 12 or so computers so it felt much quieter and there was less foot traffic with minimal waiting to sign in and out of breaks. There is ample parking outside and stores right next door if you want food or drinks. Definitely my favorite Prometric center in SoCal. read more

The place is smaller than the other prometric center in Rancho Cucamonga. The check in process was ok. However, what ANNOYED me the most was the Asian proctor guy. He kept walking by my cubicle like literally every 5-10 minutes! During my break, I even came out to tell him that I will be moving my arms and stuff because I need it for visualization. He said that is fine as long as I don't interrupt the person next to me. Every time he passes by me, I can see his glare passing through my glasses. My exam is already time pressured and I don't have any free breaks! Why can't he just leave me alone?! That is why you have security cameras! He is just too much!!! read more

I took my MCATs here and wasn't disappointed. There are about ten seats at this testing center. They provide headphones but I really advise you to bring your own earplugs. They allow you to bring opened ones but they just have to check you didn't put a listening device in them. The room was ventilated but it never got too cold or stuffy. My only complaint was that the fan might have been too loud but I had earplugs so it didn't bother me. They don't allow you to leave the premise (out the doors). Check in and outs were very quick. I was very nervous about this location. I did a drive by and was very disappointed that it was located as a sub-room of the Sylvan Learning Center. I asked the receptionist when the kids started showing up and she said around 2:30p (right in the middle of my exam). She said I can ask for a test station against the opposite wall, away from the kids, but I was very concerned. Test day came and the staff was friendly and prompt. I put on my own cheap-o earplugs and didn't hear a single thing! I was able to stay focused and it was overall a good experience. I would go back. read more

Don't go there. Their air conditioner is broken. According to the other review, the AC has been down for years, which means they don't have AC at all. You will feel dizzy during the test. If you want to get a good score, you have to make sure the environment is right. read more

I was nervous about this place after reading the negative reviews, but I tested there this morning and have no complaints! It's nothing fancy, but the staff was very nice and I even got checked in and began my test earlier than my scheduled time. Since there is only a wall separating the testing room from the large room the kids are in I could certainly see how that might make things a little different in the afternoon. No kids were there when I tested though and with my earplugs and the noise canceling headphones they offer I heard very little and was able to concentrate perfectly fine. I really am very satisfied with my experience, and would definitely return. read more

This place is a million times better than the Prometric center in Anaheim. Great center with on a few computers. There are some things that I think they can do to improve all centers as a whole. If people have a typing test, they should be placed in a different room because the typing and clanging of the keys can be very distracting for everyone else around them. The 2nd is there needs to be more monitoring of people that whisper to themselves while reading. They need to understand that others can hear them and it is not only distracting to other, but can eventually turn into a form of cheating. Lastly, they should keep an employee in the room in the corner at all times that way he/she may disrupt any disturbances that may occur immediately. Sometimes test takers may tap their feet, tap items or fingers on the desk, etc... And by having a representative in the room with the test takers it will cut down on any disturbances and allow for a better test taking environment. Thank you. I enjoyed this facility. read more
