I explored many institutes and had great conversations with them in the greater Los Angeles region. I came across ATI Commercial RefrigeratIon & HVACR training center through a referral. I scheduled a one-on-one interview and visited their classrooms and laboratory. I was immediately impressed by the experience of the professors in the HVACR space and by the ability to work hand in hand on the different types of HVACR systems in a laboratory environment. I am a strong believer that practical training is the best way to learn the trade. As I explored further, I found that they provide HVAC, 608 EPA Soldering, Hydrocarbons and 410 High Pressure Certifications. Senior faculty have a combination of 45 years of industry knowledge. Anthony Guzman and Roman Castaneda are regarded as specialized professionals and advisors to many people in the field of HVAC. As a result, I made the decision to enter the program and start a promising new career path. Roman is my technical professor at ATI. He is extremely knowledgeable, approachable, passionate, and an out of the box thinker that likes to coach others. He contributes a wealth of experience to a conversation with a can do / winning demeanor. My experience at RCI was a unique combination of challenging and rewarding…read more I recently completed the MLT program and was board certified shortly afterwards. Without a doubt, this was one of the most challenging experiences for me in academia, and I have an advanced degree in Biology. So, whatever you do, do not take this program lightly. The material covered is very comprehensive, with certain aspects mirroring year one of medical school. Given the duration of the program, there will unquestionably be times when you're overcome by the sheer volume of material covered in such a short time frame. Whatever you do, **don't get discouraged.** Stay the course. Rest assured, the staff at RCI are there to support you as best as they can. Because your success is a direct reflection of them-- their ability to ensure you are well prepared for the board exam and will make a positive contribution to the medical community at large. You see, everyone has a common goal here. The goal is for you to succeed. Outstanding experience overall. But again, this is far from easy. While the role is that of technician, this is not an "on the surface" academic program. The demand is great, and the bar is high. Although, you've been given somewhat of a head start seeing as the support system at RCI is stellar. The instructors and laboratory training are top tier. What's more, there is an underlying kindness that reverberates throughout the RCI campus fostering a strong sense of hope. But... RCI can only go so far. Be prepared to put in the work. The end result will be everything you hoped it would be (and more) in the healthcare sector. So, what are you waiting for? Enroll now! As RCI says, this is your "Gateway to a New Beginning." You've got this.
