ECHO TECH PROGRAM: Firstly, now I know why they tried to bribe students for good reviews by offering Strabucks gift cards during my attendance there. Secondly, if you plan on getting an ARDMS or CCI Certification after graduating, go to a different school. ATI doesn't have the right accreditation. (an Allied Health Accreditation) they are just accredited as a Career College ... nor do they offer the 600 hours externship which both agencies requir for you to quilify to to take either exam. SO, YOU CANT GET YOUR CERTIFICATION IF YOU DONT GET HIRED RIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL AND GET A YEARS' EMPLOYMENT. Majority can't get hired without certification. I've had interviews.. Those who want to hire me, say I need my certification require certification, and those that dont require certification continue to go with candidates who have more experience. This place offers ultrasounds to the public for low cost. It helps student be more hands on and better prepare them for their careers. What I love about getting an ultrasound as an expecting mom is that they actually go through all the important things like head size, fluid amount, kidneys, liver, stomach, spine etc. All for the sake of teaching but also beneficial for me as a mom that gets ultrasounds that are very quick with little to no info. I love this school so much! Very hands on and Mary will help you with any questions you have and will help you understand what your scanning! ATI College is unfortunately still getting away with scamming students. I attended the Santa Ana campus, which has shut down, many years ago. They will happily sign you up for financial debt at 20K with no intention to get you in the work field. Please do your research when it comes to accreditation! ** BIGGEST FINANCIAL REGRET I'VE EVER HAD!! ** I attended the ATI when it was in Santa Ana from 2012-2013. I felt like I had done my research of the local school and was so excited to be in the medical field. I finished the program, had a great GPA and then ta-da! NOTHING!! The school leaves you in the dust, doesn't even try to help you find a local job - our job board had postings for Iowa, Michigan and other fly over states. I called the office asking for help and they gave me the number for a part time gig... also the name of the place EVERY other girl got. So great, thanks for helping me look elsewhere. I took it upon myself to print probably 20-25 resumes and I drove all over Orange County dropping off my resume with places. I dressed properly, presented myself well and tried to sell it. I was eager to work for free, on call, weekends, nights, the shifts nobody wanted, ANYTHING. Not one place called me back, even after I followed up with them. I was so upset.. I spent over a year of my life studying my butt off and got myself $20,000 in debt for nothing. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL - please don't make the same mistake I made. I graduated with probably 6-8 girls and none of us are working in the field. Everyone gave up because nobody will touch you. Places want you to have experience, but you can't get it without being hired.. can't get hired without experience. See the vicious cycle? Chris is terrible at his job. A while back ago he kept contacting me asking how I was doing and if I'm in the field - I wrote him a nasty email (which I'm happy to post for the world to see) and basically said never contact me again. And he hasn't since, probably because he knows it's best for him. This school is a scam, a rip off and shady as all hell. It's the worst mistake I've ever made. I'm embarrassed to say I went here. *Not a student review* Visited here with my bff for a 4D ultrasound. She had heard that the prices were good here. Well the price was so good in fact, that it was FREE. They were doing a special for the month of august for FREE 4D ultrasounds. The work was done by students, of course, who were very knowledgeable and professional. The ultrasound tech student was named Sara, and was very nice **Check it out for cheap, if not free 4D ultrasounds that come with pictures and even a video. 4Ds can run upwards of $100+ elsewhere** read more

PLEASE DON"T DO IT!! I was a student in the ULTRASOUND PROGRAM in 2009, had a great time with students and staff....but the MOST important thing they don't tell you is NO ONE will HIRE you here in CALIFORNIA unless you have a ARDMS....and if you enroll without a Bachelors Degree you cannot take the ARDMS unless you have a year experience in the field, and No Hospital or Imaging center will even consider you with just a certificate...sure you can go to those novelty Baby imaging 3D facilities but good luck trying to make a living off of working 10 hours a week, and THAT doesn't even COUNT as a year work experience you need to be eligible to take the ARDMS test. Here it is Dec 2013 and I'm still trying to pay back a 20,000 dollar loan, off of a class that got me nowhere!...The school got there money and all they suggested was for me to move out of state where they will hire with just a certificate...This course should not be allowed here in CALIFORNIA.. its FRAUD and they're getting away with it!!! I'd give this school a zero if I could. DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE 20K+ for a certificate that is absolutely useless. No one will hire you without one year experience. Good luck even qualifying to take your ARDMS, because you need to work full time as an Ultrasound Tech for one year. What a waste of time, and all those that work for these crooks have no morals. My first time going for an ultrasound staff was very friendly and so are the students had a great experience thank you.

Today, after 3 years of no contact whatsoever from the ATI, I recieved a call from Chris (ATI's job placement rep) to ask me how I'm doing and what I'm doing with the "certification" that I aquired from them, which was, at first, a huge shock! Immediately after answering these fake interest questions, he brought up the fact that I wrote this review and wanted to know if there is anything that they can do to change my mind and write a good review.... YEAH PAY THE REST OF MY LOANS OFF! He tried to disprove every TRUE point that I made in this review with no success b/c he knows every point I made is valid. He brought up the CAAHEP certification: they're STILL NOT certified. He brought up the financial aid issue: everyone in the staff at that school knows that the previous financial aid rep, George, was fired b/c of his horrible work and attitude and was replaced by about 3 different reps (that never stayed) soon after. Then since he couldn't figure out anything to disprove one single part of my review, he tried to transfer me to Andy, the recruitment rep that I had spoke to when I was in the process of attending there, to talk to me about some of the promises that were made to me in 2011 (AKA to try and see if he can persuade me to take down the review). The damage has already been done! There is nothing that can fix the damage that has already been done by the horrible experience that I went through attending ATI College. The ONLY reason I got this call was b/c they want me to remove this review! I am paying my loans; they are getting their money so there is NO need to contact me further! Do your research and go to a real school! Cypress Community College is right down the street from this bootleg school and they have a great 2 year sonography program. Take it from me, the 2 year program is better than being stuck with 10-15 year loans that amount to about $20,000. I learned it the hard way, but I learned! Aside from waiting in the lobby area for quite a while, my overall experience was good. I went @ only 13 weeks pregnant to have my baby's gender revealed. They fully examined my baby's body/development. The tech was very attentive and informative. I got great images and found out I was having a precious baby girl. Which was confirmed a few weeks later at my regular scheduled doctors appt. I would recommend ATI for ultrasounds. They were professional and accurate. read more

***Not a student review*** Came here because a friend told me about this place. I had gotten 2 ultrasounds already of my baby but the baby was never in the right position. Came here when I was almost 6 months pregnant and my experience was great. You call and the receptionist gives you available days/times. I probably waited 10-15 min because a couple had just gone in to their session and the student who did the ultrasound was very professional and nice. She knew I had no clue what gender the baby was and she told me "I think I'm pretty sure what it is but I will get my teacher to come and confirm" Teacher came and asked her "do u see the gender" she said yes. She whispered the answer to the teacher and teacher nodded. The student excitedly said "it's a girl!" We were so happy. We already had a little boy and the carefulness and professionalism here was awesome. Definitely recommend this place. The pricing was super super affordable. read more

ive attended ATI College back in 2009. It was the best choice i made since. They sent me to Long Beach VA Hospital for my externship and It was amazing!! I learned soo much. Everyone @ ATI was really very pleasant and I had the Best Instructors. All the Instructors are ARDMS Certified and Experienced Doctors. I received emails wkly from the career services @ ATI. I was determined to find a job and so I took advantage using those emails and sending out my resumes. I found a job 3 mo's after graduating from ATI and have been working as a sonographer since. My experiences and payroll has increased 3xs. I know it is a difficult world we live in but it all starts with you. whether you want to succeed in this career or not. It's up to you!!! Do not waste your time and money here! Advisor Andy is very rude and does not help you with anything! You move on to each module with very little knowledge because the tests are easy so you pass. The teachers don't take the time to teach you. Plus you only get a certificate, other schools charge the same amount of money but you graduate with an AA degree do not go to this school! Coming to ATI was the biggest mistake I've ever done. This is not a good school. It was my mistake for coming here. I graduated last year and I still can't get a job because they didn't inform me that no one will hire you without experience and your RDMS but you can't get your RDMS if you don't have at least 1 year experience so where can you get your experience? I'm paying my students loans, my career without actually working in it. My recommendation for a ultrasound school is CBD College. They have everything you need to prepare you for a job and for externship, it's 6 months not 1 month like ATI AND CBD gets you externships with hospitals, not clinics. read more

I'm currently a student at ATI College, and I think this school is among the best ultrasound programs offered in SoCal. The professors, who are mainly doctors and Ultrasound Techs themselves with ARDMS certifications, are very helpful and friendly.  I've already gained valuable knowledge and experience through this program, which I know will help me excell in this field. I value the hands-on expeience that is offered, which includes scanning patients, our classmates, and the scanning opportunity at the externship. It's also great to know that the school maintains relationships and offers their services post graduation. I'm looking forward to this great career and I know if I work hard enough and come to class I'll get all the help and support I will need to get a job. But I also don't expect the school to hand me a job, because that's where my skills and knowlege I gained from my hard work at ATI will come into play. I attended ATI College in 2008. I was very lucky to have knowledgeable instructors who were always willing to help when I asked. They also set me up with a great externship site at a hospital where I gained a lot of experience and I was able to find a job within a month after finishing my externship. There were some people who were unable to find a job afterwards but those were usually the students who were always missing class or not using their class time wisely. Basically, you get back what you put in. I would recommend this school to anyone who is willing to put in the time and effort into a new career. read more

STUDENT REVIEW: If I could put no stars I would, however I can't. The lady who works there Julie ( in charge of student relations) is super unprofessional and very rude. All the staff there are Egyptian speak with accents and were doctors only in their country they don't practice medicine here. All teachings are done through power points. There is no one on one teaching. This school is being hammered with law suites from students saying they didn't receive the proper education. Really really don't waste your time and money here when you can learn from a real education facility. I'm so disappointed I wasted my money here. Wish Didn't. read more

Ok so I visited ATI last week for a 4d ultrasound. The reason I gave 3 stars is because it was free... however if I could get my time back I'd prefer that. The scheduling experience was good, the receptionist, told me avail. dates and times yada yada. Well I made sure to explain to her that I was 25 weeks pregnant with twins. When I got there the student was so giddy about this being her 1st twin ultrasound, which was cool of course, but when they started it seemed more like the first time she had performed or seen ANY type of ultrasound. She literally needed help with how much lube to put on my belly... And the questions just kept going from there. The 'teacher' that was supposed to walk around helping all the students had to stay with her the whole time. Well needless to say school was out and they still hadn't even scanned my 2nd baby, the teacher took over and finished up, but this had only been the 2d part not the 4d. So she asked me, "would you like a 4d session?" Umm that's the reason I wasted my time coming here... But after she had done it, all I saw was blobs. No baby features or anything. I went to my 2d ultrasound at Kaiser the next day and the 2d pics were leaps and bounds better then the 4d from the day before. I guess you get what you pay for. Maybe better luck if you get more experienced students. read more

They will not ARDMS certify you which you need to get an ultrasound tech job and they will not help you after you are $35,0000 in debt and are still working minimum wage because you can't find a job in the field you love.
