This is a great park to visit with the kids if you're in the St. Augustine area. It has great structures for climbing, it's fully fenced, and there's a large covered pavilion. It also has a lot of shade!

Swing park - A wooden playground structure with multiple towers, slides, and ramps is set in a park area, enclosed by a brick wall decorated with mosaic tiles. Large trees provide shade, and the sky is clear with some clouds. The scene suggests a family-friendly outdoor space for children to play.

Fantastic park! *It is no longer closed off. Large fenced park (for kids safety) with separate sides for younger and older kids. Made mostly of wood with wood chips covering the ground. Large, covered space for shade in the middle. The public restrooms are a short walk to the information center on the other side of the parking garage. My daughter is loving it.

Brought my niece and nephews here and they all loved it! Big playground with one side for small kids and for bigger kids. Open till dusk with a gated parking lot next to it. Good amount of kids so it doesn't get crowded. Good park for all ages.

What a fun wooden playground in the middle of St. Augustine! I came here with my family in December 2020 because this seemed to be the only playground in the area. Parking in the garage next door is expensive so we parked a few blocks down in a metered space and walked. This playground is so cool for kids. It's a good size and there are plenty of places to hide, climb, jump and slide. There are swings too. I loved that there were a lot of wooden carvings that were painted with different animals and other cheerful things. The playground seemed a bit older but that didn't take away from the awesomeness. It's also fenced in. Another downside aside from parking is that the restrooms are not close by. The public restrooms are in the visitor center across the street. Young kids usually wait until the last possible second to announce they have to go. I saw one little boy go in the bushes while we were there. So parents, come prepared with an extra change of clothes just in case (most do anyway). Overall, I think the playground itself is so much fun that I had to give it five stars.

We were visiting St. Augustine, visiting mainly historical sites. My kids (6 and 9) needed a desperate break and to run around. We ended up walking by this playground and went in. At noon on a Wednesday in May, it was completely empty the entire time we were there. We found the playground to be very clean, with it separated into a "big kids" playground and a "little kids" playground. We spent about an hour there and could've hung around more. My boys loved the playground and raved about it on our drive home (about three hours away). There are picnic tables under a pavilion & restrooms are located in the visitors' center (about a 5 minute walk). There is also a massive open area of grass to play on. This playground is a great spot for kids to burn off some energy!

While on vacation, we drove past this playground and I immediately thought it would be a great place to bring the kids, for a non scheduled, little fun in the midst of all of the history and sightseeing we were doing. This playground is amazing and much more than just a playground. It's a wooden play space fully equipped with swings, slides, tubes, towers, a fort, a space shuttle, and a lighthouse for the older kids. For the toddlers they have their own little playground with a sandbox, play trolley and boat. There's also a picnic area and pavilion. The playground is fully fenced with one entrance/exit for security purposes. Come to find out that the name SWING is an acronym for "St. Augustine's Wish for Its Next Generation." My boys loved their time spent here. Beautiful playground.

There is no nearby parking without paying $20+ at parking garage. There are no public restrooms either. Park equipment is just okay.

Awesome park. It is huge and on the north side of the city. It could use some TLC but still great.

It was definitely windy, but honestly it didn't take away from the experience at all. If anything it made the waves more fun to watch and kept things from getting too hot. The playground was a big hit with the kids. They had a great time running around and burning off energy while we relaxed nearby. It's one of those spots where both adults and kids can enjoy themselves without feeling cramped or bored. Between the scenery, the clean beach, and the family friendly setup, this is an easy five star stop. Would come back again without thinking twice.

While staying in St. Augustine, we decided to see what there was besides the typical tourist spots,…read morewhen we came across Anastasia State Park. This is actually a pretty big park! The first thing we did was drive around to the campgrounds to check out the camp sites. There were tons of spots and each was clean and spacious. Like most places, there are spots for tents and rvs. There is a main road and on each side, a campground branches off. I didn't calculate the numbers, but my guess is that each campground has at least 25 sites, and there were at least 4 campgrounds. The only downside, is that it is a long drive to get out of the park from this area. Next we drove over to the concessions stand, but it was closed, so we continued over to a HUGE parking lot with beach access. From there, we walked across a very long boardwalk which took us through sand dunes and up over a large dune to the beach. It was another bit of walking from the boardwalk to the water's edge. I would say 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile for the whole thing? Anyway, the walk is worth it. The beach is clean and full of shells that you can collect. It is very large and stretches out in both directions, seemingly forever! It was far from crowded, for being the end of July, but that was appreciated and made it more enjoyable, obviously. We didn't go swimming, but we did walk in the water and up and down the beach until just before sunset, as there are no clear markers as to where we came onto the beach, and we didn't want to get lost. There is a shower/footwash station at the entrance to the boardwalk by the parking lot, so we took advantage of it before we got in the car. Entrance to the park cost $8 per car, and for beach access on an incredibly nice beach? Worth it. I don't know what camping costs, but i can't imagine it is much more. I would definitely camp here, if I had my gear with me, and I would ABSOLUTELY hit the beach! 110/2025

We stay at the inn at least 3 weekends a year and always take our fur child. We like to walk with her in the park. The park is never crowded and very peaceful. Being in Florida, it is also has many trees, which provide plenty of shade. There are also several benches throughout for you to sit. They are made out of stone. There is a statue of St. Francis of Assisi in the back corner of the park. Our dog hates it for some reason and always barks at it! We did notice this recent trip that homeless people are staying there at night, just an FYI. It is also a little higher than the sidewalk. I never noticed a ramp for wheelchairs, just stairs. This park is so quiet and a great place to meditate or reflect. You don't even need music.

Coming here was kinda confusing as I had to look to the walkway to find my way to the shore line so walking down the path was fun and interesting all to its own and with the beach at the end I was all for it! The beach is long and has a way for cars to drive down the middle of it seeing this was kinda a trip to me as I'm not used to cars driving on the beach as you just don't see that in many places outside or Mexico. This spot was definitely a locals spot as I can tell I didn't fit in here which is one of the main reasons I went here as those are generally the best beaches. The beach was right and the time I spent here was awesome I really couldn't have asked for more. Overall super cool spot that has a handful of parking spots right next to the trail and just a ton of beach for you to enjoy. With that said who knows when or if I'll get back here again but let's just say I'll always have another beach day somewhere.
