The pavilion was nice and covered perfect for our big picnic! Right next to us was the bathrooms, shop, and little restaurant. We were able to change easily into our bathing suits to go swim at the beach and my friend was even able to buy a bikini from the store since she forgot one - so convenient! The beach is beautiful and the water is stunning, be prepared to walk across a lot of sand to get to the water part. After swimming, we went to get some ice cream from the shop, and I got a root beer float, which was good. Overall, such a nice time!

It was definitely windy, but honestly it didn't take away from the experience at all. If anything it made the waves more fun to watch and kept things from getting too hot. The playground was a big hit with the kids. They had a great time running around and burning off energy while we relaxed nearby. It's one of those spots where both adults and kids can enjoy themselves without feeling cramped or bored. Between the scenery, the clean beach, and the family friendly setup, this is an easy five star stop. Would come back again without thinking twice.

A little confusing that this is listed both on Yelp and on Apple Maps as "Saint Augustine Beach…read morePier" because the sign at the location says "The St. John's County Ocean & Fishing Pier." It's $2 to walk out on the pier ("Sightseeing", per the sign) but it's worth it. It's a beautiful view! Today was incredibly windy - so bad that I had trouble holding my binoculars in place while looking for birds. But I was able to log 9 bird species while there, just watching them fly by and/or on the beach. There are benches for sitting, but they did have the end of the pier blocked off. See other reviewers for speculation on why. There's also a pretty popular Farmer's Market that sets up every Wednesday in the parking lot in front of the pier. It's popular enough that we witnessed traffic bottleneck there, so be mindful of that.

The admission seemed steep, but by the end, with all the alligators, turtles, reptiles, birds, and mammals it seemed appropriate. St Augustine, being America's oldest city, has quite a bit to see and do! We were able to see the lighthouse, fountain of youth, alligator farm, visit many restaurants and old bars and take the Flagler College tour. The only thing that would have made the day better would have a been a concert at the St Augustine Amphitheater! It was an amazing day!

I always recommend the Alligator Farm for people from out of town as I think it's something truly unique to this region. In the farm/zoo there's more than just alligators, there are crocodiles, birds, and other reptiles. The feeding show is a must see! How often do you see a crocodile eating in real life?

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The beach is soft sand and easy to walk on. There are many people walking on the beach in the morning. Some are also on bicycles. The view is great. Thete are many restaurants, shops, gas stations, hotels, drug stores, and bars. It's a mini-city. It's a lot more quiet than St. Augustine.

Even though it seems small it draws the best people:skaters... a great spot to learn a trick. We've seen all types of skaters come thru from the legendary and current pros, to old skaters from the 70s like myself... and most of all, kids just looking to learn to sKate. If you are a beginner, best to go before noon.... after 1pm all the college, high school and middle school heavies take over. It's most crowded 3 hours before sunset. Though it's set up for street ... there is a fun 4' quarter pipe and C Bowl (small 2' half bowl ). If you are an old Skool skater, like I am ... I suggest you evolve and learn to skate some street obstacles ;) plenty of obstacles to help you evolve at this little park... as a person & a skater
