The beach is beautiful and the water is stunning, be prepared to walk across a lot of sand to get to the water part. It's $2 to walk out on the pier ("Sightseeing", per the sign) but it's worth it. It's a beautiful view! Today was incredibly windy - so bad that I had trouble holding my binoculars in place while looking for birds. But I was able to log 9 bird species while there, just watching them fly by and/or on the beach. There are benches for sitting, but they did have the end of the pier blocked off. See other reviewers for speculation on why. There's also a pretty popular Farmer's Market that sets up every Wednesday in the parking lot in front of the pier. It's popular enough that we witnessed traffic bottleneck there, so be mindful of that.

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The beach is soft sand and easy to walk on. There are many people walking on the beach in the morning. Some are also on bicycles. The view is great. Thete are many restaurants, shops, gas stations, hotels, drug stores, and bars. It's a mini-city. It's a lot more quiet than St. Augustine.
