This field behind the parking garage in St Aug is used fir many events...this weekend it was the Celtic Festival. The issue here is always parking and even though there is a parking garage there are long lines in and long lines to get out! Luckily for us, we found parking near in a lot. There was much advertising for this and I was really looking forward to bag pipes; I really didn't see them advertised much for the two stages. They had some but they were more just outside the stages when other music wasn't playing. Those bands on the staged were more fiddles, guitars, banjoes but not bagpipes. They had lots of merchandise vendors with everything imaginable most were Celtic theme but not all-pirates?!? The lesser second stage had informative talks (what does Celtic mean?) as well as Druid (?) belly dancers with deer-horned head dresses... We saw the weight throwing, the tree poll tossing (harder then you think) and ladies tossing heavy straw bags over their heads over a tall bar behind them! Have no idea the origin of that. Lots of food vendors and several beer, wine, liquor vendors who seemed to be busy! Many people set up chairs and just chilled, apparently for hours, listening to the music.

My kids and I really enjoyed the kid park area of Francis Field. It has two sides. One for the smaller kids and another side for the bigger kids. They also have a nice little covered picnic area that separate the two areas. I like how the whole area is wood. Pretty much everything in the park is wood. The place is like a big old obstacle course for kids to have fun and adventure. They even have a wooden xylophone type instrument you can bang on. I have also been to a couple festivals at Francis Field. There is def. a lot of land to hold them on. Plus it is right off the main road in downtown St Augustine so you can't miss it. Parking is usually easy. There is a 4 story parking garage next door, which you pay for all day parking.

SWING Park at Francis Field is perfect for ALL ages! Most of the park is shaded throughout the day and there are two sides, great for younger and older children. It is generally pretty clean when we go, which is important for me because I have younger kids and they pick up EVERYTHiNG haha. I feel safe because it is entirely fenced in so I can look away briefly without getting anxiety. I gave it 4 stars vs 5 because there isn't a bathroom onsite. While it's a pretty quick walk to a nice, clean bathroom...it's a bit far when my littles have to go "immediately".

Great fun for the entire family. Love the festivals and events they have here. Conveniently located with plenty of parking spots

More of a giant field than a park. I am sure it is great for events in Saint Augustine, but for a park, again, it is a giant field.

The location couldn't be better leaving you dead center in the middle of St Aug for post concert revelry.

It was definitely windy, but honestly it didn't take away from the experience at all. If anything it made the waves more fun to watch and kept things from getting too hot. The playground was a big hit with the kids. They had a great time running around and burning off energy while we relaxed nearby. It's one of those spots where both adults and kids can enjoy themselves without feeling cramped or bored. Between the scenery, the clean beach, and the family friendly setup, this is an easy five star stop. Would come back again without thinking twice.

The first thing we did was drive around to the campgrounds to check out the camp sites. There were tons of spots and each was clean and spacious. Like most places, there are spots for tents and rvs. There is a main road and on each side, a campground branches off. I didn't calculate the numbers, but my guess is that each campground has at least 25 sites, and there were at least 4 campgrounds. The only downside, is that it is a long drive to get out of the park from this area. Next we drove over to the concessions stand, but it was closed, so we continued over to a HUGE parking lot with beach access. From there, we walked across a very long boardwalk which took us through sand dunes and up over a large dune to the beach. It was another bit of walking from the boardwalk to the water's edge. I would say 1/4 to 1/3 of a mile for the whole thing? Anyway, the walk is worth it. The beach is clean and full of shells that you can collect. It is very large and stretches out in both directions, seemingly forever! It was far from crowded, for being the end of July, but that was appreciated and made it more enjoyable, obviously. We didn't go swimming, but we did walk in the water and up and down the beach until just before sunset, as there are no clear markers as to where we came onto the beach, and we didn't want to get lost. There is a shower/footwash station at the entrance to the boardwalk by the parking lot, so we took advantage of it before we got in the car. Entrance to the park cost $8 per car, and for beach access on an incredibly nice beach? Worth it. I don't know what camping costs, but i can't imagine it is much more. I would definitely camp here, if I had my gear with me, and I would ABSOLUTELY hit the beach! 110/2025

We stay at the inn at least 3 weekends a year and always take our fur child. We like to walk with her in the park. The park is never crowded and very peaceful. Being in Florida, it is also has many trees, which provide plenty of shade. There are also several benches throughout for you to sit. They are made out of stone. There is a statue of St. Francis of Assisi in the back corner of the park. Our dog hates it for some reason and always barks at it! We did notice this recent trip that homeless people are staying there at night, just an FYI. It is also a little higher than the sidewalk. I never noticed a ramp for wheelchairs, just stairs. This park is so quiet and a great place to meditate or reflect. You don't even need music.

Problem is- signage isn't very clear on how to get to the parking lot for the park! The directional sign on the road says "Sculpture Park" with a right arrow- and if you make the next turn you are sitting in front of the police station. Which is where we parked and walked down the sidewalk on A1A to get to the park. Turns out- there is a back exit to the parking lot at the police station that goes down a road and dead ends into the parking lot for the park. Who knew?- not this woman! Oh well- the Lakeside Park/Veteran's Memorial/Sculpture Garden park has a large round memorial to all of the service branches- very pleasing to the eye. In the center is the American Flag and the POW flag below it. There is a board walk along the lake- which provides a wonderful view of turtles! I'm sure you could see some birds too- depending on the time of day. The path winds South and is adorned with a variety of sculptures- hence "Sculpture Garden". I think my favorite was the one that looked like a Phoenix- although there were several that caught my eye. Plenty of shade, benches and art! Oh Well- the big sign at the Southwest corner of the park said Lakeside Park, Veteran's Memorial Park.

Coming here was kinda confusing as I had to look to the walkway to find my way to the shore line so walking down the path was fun and interesting all to its own and with the beach at the end I was all for it! The beach is long and has a way for cars to drive down the middle of it seeing this was kinda a trip to me as I'm not used to cars driving on the beach as you just don't see that in many places outside or Mexico. This spot was definitely a locals spot as I can tell I didn't fit in here which is one of the main reasons I went here as those are generally the best beaches. The beach was right and the time I spent here was awesome I really couldn't have asked for more. Overall super cool spot that has a handful of parking spots right next to the trail and just a ton of beach for you to enjoy. With that said who knows when or if I'll get back here again but let's just say I'll always have another beach day somewhere.
