    Bryan... really cool guy/instructor

Sooo much fun! I wish they had one if these in the Palm Beach area. Who would've thought this would be a great first date idea?! It ended up being amazing. There really arent too many ways you can throw in conversation, trust, and physicality all in one pot outside of a place like this. 10/10 highly recommended and a HUGE s/o to Bryan!! He 100% made what could have been a scary situation into an absolute fun core memory!!

Popped in for rock climbing. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. It's a shame I did not get his name. Started out with a belay class to learn safety tips and rope tying. lots of training to ensure you get it right. Although I have tried indoor rock climbing before, the tall walls sure made me feel timid. But I pushed through and tried. Although it became busy as time went on, there was enough space to explore. A great place to challenge yourself. Funny enough, what stood out the most here was.. the toilet paper. It was so soft, lol.

Had no idea this gym was back here! I've been living here all my life, and have never gone indoor rock climbing, and really this place is awesome. Normally you need a membership, which is affordable at $60 a month unlimited, but today I was able to use a free one day pass as I am friends with a member. When you walk in it is astonishing how high the ceilings and how massive the top rope rock walls are, sprawling throughout the facility, with the front half spanning 40 feet high, and the back 60 feet high. They also have a really nice bouldering wall, lined with thick, fluffy mats. The routes are changed multiple times a week and are always carefully marked with colors and difficulty level to make it easy for climbers of all skills to find a route that works for them. There is no locker room, but the bathroom is clean. I was able to change in there and leave my bag at a table and seating area near the front desk and bouldering wall. The atmosphere feels very friendly and safe, and I had zero concern for my things being touched or taken. The staff was very friendly, Ricky was so helpful giving me a detailed tour around the entire facility and explaining the function of everything. My day pass also included a harness and shoes. Make sure to go with a friend who knows what they're doing or be prepared to talk to other climbers to get help with balaying, which as a beginner climber i was not certified to do. Luckily I was there with two friends who were able to do this for me and for each other as it requires a class. I really loved this place, if not for my affinity for keeping long nails, I would already have a membership here. That definitely held me back while climbing , but I was still able to scale even some of the 60 foot walls. So much fun! I am super sore two days later. Had no idea some of these muscles existed in my arms, back and shoulders. I Can't wait to come back.

Project Rock is in Oakland Park and is the home to some of the tallest rock climbing walls in the US from 40 to 60 ft! What better way to realize your fear of heights... and then overcome them! I came with a few friends for Global Climbing Day and they had a deal of 50% off day passes and climbing gear all day. Upon entering, you can pretty much see the whole gym and the towering climbing walls. You sign waivers and are given gear, if needed. After that, you take a tour of the gym and the guide explains it all. In the front, there is a map on the wall; the states colored in brown are destinations across the country that their climbing walls represent. Instead of going to the mountains, Project Rock brings the mountains to Oakland Park! I know, super cool. A couple of my friends are all belay certified so we were able to take turns climbing. If you were interested in that, they offer courses for it. If you're a beginner, there are two not-so-high walls in the front. Other than those two, the rest of the routes are very tall. They also have a section for bouldering which is climbing without the harness. I'm making it a goal to make it to the top of one of their 60ft walls one day. I might even challenge myself to their center climb which includes a stalactite that naturally shakes when climbing it!

We love coming here to climb. The people are very friendly and everyone is willing to help each other. We attended a belay training with James and have been back a dozen times since. It's a great workout and very enjoyable. I wish they had a little snack bar with some coffee

I've been visiting project rock for years and this is one of the best kept secrets of south Florida. Each visit I am impressed by how thoughtfully designed the space is, you truly feel as if you are climbing outdoors and that feels extra special in Florida since climbing outdoors is impossible. Each sections is designed after the rocks of a different area of the country, the picnic area has mulch and picnic tables perfect for a rest spot, and the bathrooms feel as if you're in a cabin. The staff is always very patient and helpful and pricing is very reasonable for the day pass and the equipment rental. My only call out is that staff does not belay climbers which means you must take a course to learn to belay. I personally think this creates an even better atmosphere of people who are interested enough in climbing to commit to learning. However as a beginner it is something you need to account for in your first visit. All in all I love project rock and would give 10 out of 5 stars if I could.

The walls are challenging and my kids enjoy climbing the easier ones. The staff is helpful. All and all, a good place to go for something out of ordinary.

Came to Project Rock with a group from my CrossFit gym to take a rock climbing class. The staff there is super friendly and VERY helpful/patient - especially since many of us were first timers. They showed us how to wear the harness properly and motivated us to try out some "practice walls" before we got into some of the harder ones. I didn't think I had an issue with heights but climbing up the walls the first few times was very anxiety inducing. With that said, I felt very confidant that the staff who was helping us "belay" were very knowledgeable but you have to put a lot of trust in a person you just met to make sure they don't let you fall. I tried a few different walls and I'll admit I did not expect it to be as physically taxing as it was. After a few climbs I was sore and tired. Pretty sure my hands and forearms hurt for several days afterwards. Overall, this was such a fun (indoor) experience that I'd recommend to anyone. Everyone we encountered from the staff to the other members were so fun and friendly - you can tell they've built a great community of climbers in such a flat place like Florida! If you're looking for a fun but challenging activity for a group or even a date, I highly recommend Project Rock and cannot wait to come back again!

He came over and made sure everything was okay, provided an ice pack, and was very comforting and attentive. That level of care really stood out to me. The facility itself was clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. This location did seem a little less busier than the location in Davie however, towards the end of the day, it does pick up a little bit. I also really liked that they offer adult beverages liquor, wine, and canned drinks which gives parents a chance to relax a bit while the kids play. The fun bites were fresh, sweet, and crispy definitely a highlight. They also have Dippin' Dots (one of my favorites), and those did not disappoint. We ordered pizza, chicken tenders, and fries as well those were just okay, nothing special, but the kids enjoyed them. Pricing was reasonable overall. Just note that socks are required and need to be purchased, and jumping is charged by the hour. Some attractions like the zip line and arcade games come with additional fees. I really appreciated the designated area for kids under five it's a safe space where little ones can play without worrying about bigger kids.

The large air hockey was not working there were 2 smaller tables and a pool table, which we noticed had 2 of the same number 15 balls and another missing. You can only buy either $20 or $50 or even more expensive game card nothing in-between it offered 400 points or 1200. When we first arrived, everything seemed fine. The problems began once it was time for food. Items were brought out in pieces: pizza would arrive with no plates, no napkins, no drinks, and no utensils. The kids were seated, hungry and thirsty, while adults waited an unreasonable amount of time for basic necessities that should have been brought together. It was very difficult to get the attention of the assigned party host. She was frequently chatting with other employees as if it were social hour rather than actively managing a children's birthday party. She moved extremely slowly between the table and the kitchen area, despite the short distance. At first, I gave her the benefit of the doubt--everyone can have an off day. However, it quickly became clear that nothing was being handled with urgency or organization. The host was walking around with a personal purse on her shoulder, which made it appear as though she had just arrived or was about to leave, not like she was fully engaged in her role. It also visibly got in the way of her working. Because the kids were waiting so long, I offered to help speed things up. I volunteered to carry drink pitchers while she gathered other items. She agreed. Despite that, essentials like napkins, utensils, ketchup, and drinks continued to take far too long to arrive. Eventually, I had to go to the café area myself to collect forks, napkins, and condiments so the children could finally eat. When the host later approached--slowly and casually--with items we had already retrieved, I informed her we had taken care of it. Instead of apologizing or acknowledging the delay, she appeared visibly annoyed, turned away, and walked off. Toward the end of the party, communication completely broke down. The host began ignoring me, and there was no notification about cake time, causing everyone to scramble because of the strict time limit. When I asked for her name due to her repeated rudeness and lack of professionalism, she responded dismissively, "Your party is over at three. You need to get out." She then refused to give her name and stated that she had "already told the manager all about me," implying I had done something wrong. This was extremely surprising, as I had only tried to help ensure the children could eat on time. Because of this, I went to speak directly with the manager. The manager informed me that she had not received any report from this employee at all. In fact, she acknowledged that she had noticed the host was disorganized, unfocused, and not doing what she was supposed to be doing. The manager also provided the employee's name, which is Lily. During this conversation, the manager mentioned that Lily is "very sensitive." While that may be true, it was concerning to hear in the context of a children's party. Sensitivity does not excuse poor communication, lack of organization, or unprofessional behavior--especially in a role that requires managing groups of children and interacting with paying families. When employees are not properly trained for these responsibilities, it ultimately reflects on the business as a whole. The facility itself has potential, but the lack of staff training, accountability, and professionalism completely overshadowed the experience. Because of this, I do not recommend hosting a birthday party here. Families deserve better organization, clearer communication, and staff who are prepared to do the job they were hired for.
