I took her through the apartment to emphasize areas where the cat fur was at it's worst, the bedspread in my guest room and even showed her a cat fur roller she could use on that, the pillows and the upholstery before I left. When I returned I headed straight to the guest room bed and the bedspread had not even been touched! I couldn't see that she had used my special cat fur roller tool at all, and further noticed a large patch of dust under the TV sitting on a cedar chest. Later when I went to close the mini blinds in my room I discovered the wand on the side wasn't there; she had broken it off at the top and simply laid it on the windowsill for me to find. There was no note about or anything else to ask for feedback on her cleaning that day, and my daughter has heard nothing further from her either. That bedspread is too large for my washer so I spent the next day making trips to the laundromat to get it clean enough before my company arrived. He utterly failed at the most important task which is moving all of my stuff. he took three days for the job even though he specified he would be working with four of his family members for two days. On Friday late afternoon he called me and told me he still had a brief bit of work to do in my home he specified about 10 minutes. On Saturday morning called me approximately 930 and told me he was on the way to my new house. I later discovered numerous items were missing from my kitchen including two chefs jackets, an expensive digital scale, four aprons, four really nice rolling pins and several cutting boards. I only learned of the missing items when I had emptied all the boxes and bags. after discovering the loss i recalled that the cleaning people had thrown out large trash bags that were really heavy. I had to remove them from the compost can as they were left behind by Roanoke city. Unfortunately I did not open the bags to discover the missing items. My guess is that he did not go back on Saturday to pick up these items. Additionally I was charged price wildly in excess of the estimate and he inflated the hours. On Saturday he charged me for three men eight hours. They left at 2 PM. One of them drove here directly between 930 and 10 so I know I was overcharged. Whenever I challenged some of the differences he became very argumentative and frightened me. I just wanted him out of the house. If he had any sense of customer service or honor he would refund me at least $1000 so that I can replace the items he left behind. He also was very careless in wrapping delicate items. He did not bring bubble wrap or proper moving blankets. He damaged one of my very expensive chess by taping it which pulled off the paint.

We were promised that the utmost care would be taken, but we were very disappointed. Our belongings were packed up, put into storage for two months and then transported to Arizona. When our belongings arrived and were taken off the truck, we observed many crushed boxes, antique furniture that was scratched, scuffed and in one case broken into pieces. One of the legs on our bed was broken and another was broken off entirely. The hardware for putting our bed together was missing. In opening the boxes, we have found broken heirloom plates, broken Waterford crystal, broken Herend china, broken ceramic art pieces, and broken glass in some framed artwork. We received someone else's step stool and a metal part of someone else's bed. We generously tipped and gave refreshments to the men who packed the truck and the men who unpacked it. Somewhere in the handling of our belongings boxes were dropped and negligently mishandled. It is obvious that not much care was taken. We were charged nearly $20,000 for terrible service. I needed them gone! I was on the Next Door app and found the phone number for CMT Junk Removal, so I decided to contact them for a quote. Cory, the owner, contacted me back within about an hour. We texted back and forth, and I sent him photos of the boxes I needed removed. He gave me a generalized price range, which I felt was appropriate, considering the photos made it hard to tell precisely how much was there. He said he could do it that day, but the next day was better for me, and he was agreeable. He showed up promptly at the designated time with his pickup truck. He's an incredibly lovely and personable young man--strong as an ox! He was considerate, polite, and a hard worker with a very cheerful demeanor. He filled his truck completely and took that load to the dump, then came back for the second load--still with a wonderful attitude. The second load was the last of it. He even took away my old, broken microwave and an old computer chair. Cory is delightful to work with, and I recommend him any time! I will use him again when it's time for me to clear out a large storage locker. I hope his business continues to grow and become successful.

Nope, not again. This was our third time using Collegiate movers and is the worst moving experience…read morewe have had. For reference we have lived 5 times over the last six years. Asked for a quote, received it, but did not get anything in writing. Adrian said he needed $1200, for deposit, but explained there is a 3% charge for credit cards and asked for Zelle or Venmo payments. By the time we transferred the money over to that account, for the deposit m, the deposit was. $1500,. Thus was to be applied at the end. He had us send the money to his wife, not even to a business account.. Still nothing in writing, asked for this to be in writing, he sent an email with grey type on a white background. There was little communication after that. Even after reaching out the Friday before the move set to be on Tuesday, there was no response. He calls after 2 on Monday, to say the truck is getting repaired and still not back asking to adjust our move date. We had a short window, but was able to shift it a day. Asking us for places to stop for the night, putting their poor planning onto us. When they called to confirm the time was firm, they asked what kind of carts were available to move stuff out. They used a hotel cart that belonged to our building and got a shopping cart out of the alley, because they did not have a dolly or anything to move things with. I was surprised they had moving blankets at this point. They arrived 30 minutes later the time they were supposed to arrive and the set time we had access to the freight elevator. After showing them what they had to move, I suggested they not leave the truck where they had it parked, that things might walk off. They did not move it, felt it was okay (this was in Chicagoland). We made the block to see they left it there. They called when they finished moving out, no other communication until move in day. They sent a message the day if move in. They said they would be at the move in about noon and would give a call when they were 30 minutes out. At 1pm, we received that call, they were 30 minutes out. They arrived without a lock on the back. When asked, they said they park it so it is tight against a wall. We helped them unload the truck, because we were worried about the incoming rain. We changed nothing about our packing. Until this move we have only had one cereal bowl break. This time we had multiple glasses, a platter, a 5 gallon antique water jug and more. Also, completely missing whole boxes and at last count, at least $1,000 of our belongings. Several of which are family heirlooms that cannot be replaced. When we went to pay, Adrian wanted to add $450 for gas, to what he stated when he gave the estimate, was a fixed rate and is in the email he sent that is barely readable. Then wanted to change the additional credit card charge from 3% to 4%. I did the math for him and rounded up a few dollars, just to be done and stop the conversation.

The vehicle ran out of fuel. The owner spilled diesel in my vehicle and all over my driveway. My list goes on. I hate it for the 2 employees because they were doing the best they could with what they had. My items were not wrapped, strapped down and my boxes were thrown around without care. The owner was the most unprofessional person and considering how well they did in the past, I am truly disappointed. I wouldn't use them again if they paid me. I wish I could give negative stars.
