I attended the November 2025 virtual Project Management Academy bootcamp with John D, and he was an outstanding instructor. He did a great job making the material practical, engaging, and easy to understand. Project management concepts can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially in a bootcamp format, but John brought the content to life with real-world examples, practical scenarios, and helpful explanations that made the information much easier to apply. One of the things I appreciated most was how he connected the course material to actual situations project managers face. He did not just teach from the slides. He explained how the concepts show up in real projects, how to think through different situations, and how to approach questions in a way that made sense. His examples were relevant, clear, and memorable. John also made the virtual class fun, which is not always easy to do in an intensive bootcamp setting. He kept the energy up, encouraged participation, and created a positive learning environment. His teaching style made it easier to stay engaged and absorb a large amount of information. He was approachable, knowledgeable, and clearly invested in helping everyone succeed. I am also excited to share that I passed my PMP exam, and I truly believe John's instruction helped prepare me for success. The way he broke down the material, reinforced key concepts, and shared practical test-taking guidance made a real difference. Overall, John D was a fantastic instructor. I decided to pursue the Project Management Institute's PMP certification a couple of months ago. I had been doing some self-study and scanning the Internet for any kind of tips I could find to pass the PMP exam. A colleague of mine recommended the Project Management Academy as they had taken the PMP boot camp and were successful in passing the PMP exam. I found a class in my area, and signed up. The Project Management Academy's website had a plethora of information and study guides including online videos, PMBOK documentation, practice questions, flash cards, etc. It more that kept me busy until the actual class began. The class was an intense four days of valuable information which concluded with a practice test on the 4th day. I'm sure all of the instructors at Project Management Academy are great but our class was fortunate enough to have Francis (Fran) Mies as the instructor. Fran was very well versed with PMBOK and the PMP test. He taught us what to expect and how to best handle this difficult test. Fran let us know that there was no way to avoid the effort that you have to put in to learn the methodology and pass the test. With that said, Fran also gave us a great amount of insight and a solid study path to enable us to succeed. I took and passed the PMP examination about ten days after class ended. I credit the Project Management Academy and Fran Mies with providing me with the tools and knowledge that I needed to gain my PMP certification. read more

I took the PMP Boot Camp class provided by Project Management Academy in October 2017. One month later, I took the PMP exam and passed on my first attempt. The class curriculum was laid out well and the study aids were much more digestible than the PMBOK itself. Not only were the study aids a life-saver but the website was an incredible asset. There were mock exams, practice questions, videos and much more. I utilized every tool that the Project Management Academy provided to me as they were all extremely helpful. Along with the wonderful curriculum and study aids, it is important to note that the most important resource of them all was our PMP Boot Camp instructor, Anand Pulchan. Anand is by far one of the best instructors that I have ever had! Anand made himself available at all times - literally, he was available before class, during breaks, after class and would respond to emails and phone calls not only during the four days of the PMP Boot Camp itself but after the class was over. Knowing I was quite nervous the day prior to my PMP exam, Anand took the time to call me to give me that extra boost of confidence that I needed. I can't imagine there are any other instructors who care as much as Anand does! Thank you Project Management Academy and thank you Anand for being such a huge supporter of your students! In June 2023 I completed Project Management Academy's PMP Boot Camp in order to help me achieve my personal and professional goals of achieving a Project Management Professional Certification. Having attempted self-study of the PMP Curriculum in the past, I was familiar with the materials but sought professional instruction to help me get to the level of knowledge required for the certification. Thankfully my decision to enroll in the June 2023 Boot Camp was validated when Anand Pulchan was assigned as the instructor. Anand possesses many qualities that make for an excellent educator; primarily, he is a good communicator, collaborator, and engaged well with the class. His ability to tailor the materials being presented to the class allowed the students, myself included, to apply the content being learned to our own professional experiences and situations. I took the PMP Certification Exam Prep Boot Camp through PMA in August 2016. My instructor, Anand Pulchan, was incredibly helpful and supportive not only throughout the duration of the course but also before and after. His teaching style was very direct and logical which made some of the most complicated subjects in the PMBOK easy to understand. He's an awesome instructor who's truly dedicated to the success of his students and always takes the time both inside and outside normal class hours to ensure all students receive the support they need. Against Anand's recommendation, I waited over a year to take the PMP exam but was still able to take it and pass with flying colors on my first try on 10.09.17. It's an incredibly difficult exam so it's not like that was just luck of the draw either. This class was so well done that I was able to easily refresh everything I had learned during the course, even a year later! The PMP Certification Exam Prep Boot Camp, specifically led by Anand Pulchan, along with extensive studying on my own were both critical to accomplishing my PMP Certification. I took the PMP Boot Camp course April 10-13, 2017 in Bloomington, MN. Anand Pulchan was my trainer. I was SO GLAD I took this course to prepare me for the PMP exam, which I passed last week! The Boot Camp class was key to my success, lead by Anand. I have high expectations for trainers, presentation style, preparedness, room setup, etc. I can be somewhat critical, but Anand had all the boxes checked! He took command of the room, had a clear approach, and his style was calm and encouraged professionalism. The materials provided by PMA were incredibly helpful too during the course and during my study steps for the PMP exam. The biggest thing I noticed during the Boot Camp class was there literally was not ONE question he couldn't answer! His examples were realistic and clear, and he gave very good advice for retaining the material and preparing for the exam. He also delivered on any items he said he was going to get to the class as follow up to questions. He's very thorough and made great efforts to ensure he understood the class and our questions. Delightful - yes, that's the word I'm choosing. Asad Haque was my instructor for my PMP class. Not being a big fan of week-long learning sessions, coupled with work issues clouding my focus, I had marginal expectations of this class helping me obtain my PMP. I started out by getting the date wrong and beginning on Day 2, had work issues that were customer impacting on my company website so missed important content, and basically was not in a great frame of mind to "learn". What did Project Management Academy do when I called their HQ? I was told by their customer service person that if I couldn't reschedule (I absolutely could not) I should not worry and Asad would take care of the knowledge gap that I had since missing Day 1. I was assured that they could help. And, they did. Asad was gracious and professional. He spent his personal time helping me during breaks and lunch to best ensure that I too would get the full value from my "week" long training and would have the information and knowledge needed to help me earn my PMP. Start to Finish, I was respected and treated with professionalism and courtesy even though my time was interrupted. I took the Project Management Academy bootcamp course in May 2018 and I have nothing but good things to say. The course was packed full with information, tricks and tips. The course materials provided were just as good. I think it's everything you'll need to successfully pass the PMP exam as long as you spend the time after course to study. The instructor, Anand Pulchan, was also great. He kept the class focused and engaged throughout the time with a good sense of humor. He was extremely knowledgeable on the material and regularly encouraged questions throughout the 4 day bootcamp course. He is committed to making you pass the exam and makes himself available even after the course to answer your questions...I would say if you're REALLY committed to passing the PMP and need a little EXTRA help, this is a great course to consider. Please keep in mind that you will have to STUDY HARD outside of class because the course alone won't get you there. This is Definitely NOT an easy exam and you should plan to dedicate a few weeks after your course to really dive deep in the material. I attended the Project Management boot camp in Bloomington, MN on December 8-11, 2014. I would definitely recommend this class for anyone preparing for the PMP certification. The instructor Francis Mies was excellent. He did a great job of explaining what to expect and putting things in terms you understand. In addition to the great class, the online tools were super helpful. The online videos, mock exams, and customizable flash cards really helped me get a solid understanding of all material. I don't believe I would have passed the exam without the class or the wonderful online tools. In addition, all the tools and classroom time did a great job of preparing you to spot the tricks on the exams and gave you great strategies to study and pass. If you are on the fence about where to take a Project Management class, I would recommend the Project Management Academy. I was able to pass on the first try and I have to admit it was the hardest exam I have ever taken. Finally, please note as part of the class materials, the Project Management Academy provides great tools to help you apply for the exam. That in itself make it worth every penny. read more

I completed the Boot Camp in March 2019 and successfully passed the PMP exam in May. Anand Pulchan was an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable in project management processes and also in giving real life examples that helped us understand the concepts and remember them for the exam (and real life!). There was a lot of material to cover and he made good use of time to increase our knowledge in areas that we needed extra help in. He took the time to get to know us, our work situations, past experience and future plans to tailor the examples and explanations. The PMA materials are excellent and helped us as adult learners during and after class to learn in different ways - PowerPoint slides for class, laminated study guides, electronic flashcards, exercises including fill-in-the blank, matching, mad-libs, crossword puzzles as well as the expected word problems for earned value management. The practice exams were especially helpful to get used to the way the questions are asked and the timing/pacing. I highly recommend PMA and Anand if you're looking to prep and pass the PMP exam! read more

I took the PMP Boot Camp with Anand Pulchan as the instructor in mid-October. The Project Management Academy (PMA) boot camp materials were great for absorbing all of the information during the boot camp and for studying after the boot camp. There were materials for every kind of learner and people like me who want variety - printed materials, videos, online quizzes and sample exams. Anand is a very engaging instructor, very personable, with practical experience both as a Project Manager and in specifics of the PMP Exam - content along with tips and tricks. He consistently gave study tips ("Flashcard this!") as he went through the material and gave real-life examples to solidify vocabulary and concepts like risk-types , roles and document types. The pace was good, fast enough to stay awake and slow enough to have time to absorb and ask questions. There was good engagement with fellow classmates as well. Again, for me, variety helps my learning, so it was great not to have it be 100% lecture. I definitely recommend PMA and Anand if you are preparing to take the PMP exam. read more

I took the 4 day PMA Boot Camp led by Anand Pulchan in Bloomington, MN from 8/1/16 - 8/4/16. The PMA boot camp, under the instruction of Mr. Pulchan, was undoubtedly the tool I needed to fully develop my understanding and knowledge of the entire PMP process and knowledge areas. Anand laid out the class in a way that allowed everyone to understand how an effective PM moves throughout the project lifecycle within the framework of the PMBOK guidelines. Anand was excellent in not only teaching the material presented in the slides, but also took the time to stop and pause to elaborate on any difficult areas that the class had further questions on. I ended up taking the PMP Exam a week after completing the PMA Boot Camp and reviewing the additional on-line materials that are included with the purchase of the boot camp. I am proud to say that as of 8/10/16 I am now a certified PMP. It is without hesitation that I would recommend this class to any prospective PM's that are looking to obtain their PMP certification. read more

I took the boot camp for the PMP certification at the end of February 2023 and passed my exam in the first week of June 2023. Anand Pulchan is truly knowledgeable in PMI processes and the exam content outline and the PMBOK. He explained the concepts of PERT, critical Path, and Earned Value Equations very well. He also did mini quizzes every morning from the previous day learnings so that there is a flow to his teaching. He also provided tips on how to study for the exam and discern those tricky questions asked during the PMP exam. He made himself available after the course and frequently checked in with me on my progress after the practice exams from Watermark were completed. I personally needed that external pressure to study and take the test. I would highly recommend Anand Pulchan as an instructor not only preparing for the PMP exam but also providing examples from his experience as well. read more

I took the PMP Exam Prep Boot Camp class September 2017. My instructor was Anand Pulchan. I had no formal project management experience and was looking to get a base knowledge of Project Management to take the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam. Needless to say, I got more than I bargained for! The class was so full of information that I felt like I was in well over my head, but the instructor was encouraging and presented the material well and provided tips to remember the process groups, knowledge areas and how they are related. I studied hard, reviewing all of the materials provided by Project Management Academy and passed the exam on my first attempt with a score Above Target. It was tough, but well worth it. I took PMA's PMP Bootcamp training in Minneapolis, Minnesota from Jul 8 - Jul 12, 2013. Asad Haque was the instructor and he was fantastic. He has great interpersonal skills and presents the PMI material at the perfect pace for learning. I was unsure how much I would have to read the PMBOK to pass the exam, but most of my time was spent reviewing the PMA course materials and my classroom instruction notes, along with taking 3 practice exams before the actual exam. I was able to pass the PMI exam in just under 4 weeks after taking the course, and I passed with excellent results and felt I was very prepared to take the actual exam. Asad also presented some key information in class that was extremely helpful in passing the actual exam. I would highly recommend Asad as an instructor, and also taking the PMA course in preparation of taking the actual PMP exam. read more

After looking through various PMP training options, I chose Project Management Academy. I loved that there were options for either in person training or online. I chose the in person bootcamp, which was held Mon-Thurs in December 2023. The instructor, Anand Pulchan, was able to teach the all-day classes while keeping the class engagement high. I loved that he was able to give real-world examples of concepts that were difficult to understand at first. Anand practices project management in many capacities, which seemed to help his ability to understand and answer almost any question asked. The expectation of the class, engagement, and post-boot camp study was clear from the start. I also loved that I was able to network with other professionals during breaks! I would recommend the in-person instruction if anyone isn't sure which way to go. read more

I enrolled in the PMP bootcamp in August of 2017 to give me a head start towards preparing for the PMP certification exam. Anand Pulchan was the course instructor and did a great job with presenting the material, addressing questions, and keeping me engaged in the course by providing examples for how the methodology applies to real situations. I passed the certification exam on my first try approximately 4 months after taking the course, although I would follow the recommendation of taking the exam shortly after completing the course. Fortunately Project Management Academy provides online courses of the bootcamp material so i was able to refresh my memory before setting a strict study plan. I attended PMP Bootcamp the first week of July 2026. Anand Pulchan was our instructor. He was able to walk through all the concepts and made the class very enjoyable. Anand did a great job explaining all of the concepts, and taking the time to ensure everyone's questions were answered throughout the whole week while not creating a long process. He would made sure we all understood before proceeding. He used easy to understand examples so we all could comprehend with real world scenario. I ended up taking the exam 3 weeks after the class and pass with Above Target. The PMP bootcamp with Anand is what really prepared me for the exam. I think I could have potentially taken the exam the week after the bootcamp if needed. I feel I have a lot more information and knowledge for bring back to my company for project management. read more
