I knew my 10 year old would really like it, but I was surprised how much our eight year old liked it. I asked him he would like to go again, he said absolutely. They made soap, made and painted sculptures, worked with clay, water colors, drawings and collages, paper flowers, woven llamas and even had a llama visit and had ice cream at the neighboring parlor. I asked what our son would like others to know, and he said: you may not make what I made, but you'll get to do something awesome. Mrs Ross knows how to run a classroom too. I HIGHLY recommend art camps and sessions with Mrs Ross.

Katie caters to groups just as much as individuals, as they are each considered guests in this warm studio space. Although she specializes in mediums like ceramics, stained glass, and painting, Katie’s experience travels well beyond those mediums. Her “life-long-learner” attitude makes her up for just about any idea, and her creative spin will ensure that extra touch you were hoping to find for your experience. Ten minutes well spent Might not be great most the time…read moreBut it is great now This review is not so much for the Bloomington Center for the Arts (not Bloomington Art Center as Yelp has it listed), but for the current exhibit that they have going on right now featuring the artwork of Thomas Fluharty. I actually probably spent more than ten minutes there. Call it twenty. If you are older than 30, you have probably seen some of his work at one time or another in your life. It has been featured on numerous magazine covers. Usually, caricatures of political figures seen on the front of Time, U.S. News & World Report, etc. He has also had work published in Mad Magazine and other periodicals. Much of his stuff will definitely give you a chuckle. My only complaint about the exhibit is there was not a ton of stuff in it. Just one smallish room with maybe fifty or so pieces and many of those being sketches and not paintings. In addition to the caricatures, there were many pieces featuring dogs, religious work and a few other odds and ends. If you are interested in drawing yourself, he will be teaching a class at the Center in August. Per his Wikipedia page, he currently resides in Minnesota.

Plenty of parking; grand entry where City Council meets; grand theatre and perfect ambiance. The theatre two levels and helpful guides and greeters. The staff became like family to us and we were so sad to leave. Ms. Theresa is an incredible Director! Always great at communicating with families, very organized and easy to talk to. All of the teachers are so sweet and friendly, and loved our kids so much. Rainbow does an amazing job of creating an engaging and fun curriculum for the kids. Each week has a theme of what the kids are learning about, and the staff does a great job of teaching about the topics at hand. My kids were always bringing home amazing art projects and even teaching me a thing or two. Rainbow also has an amazing music program. They put on two adorable concerts per year, and we absolutely loved them! The summer program is a blast with field trips and lots of special events and guests that visit the kids. Our daughter went into Kindergarten extremely prepared in her writing and reading skills, and I give all of the credit to Rainbow. Overall, just an incredible school that has made a huge impact on our family. Thank you for everything!

His two lead teachers are former elementary teachers and the environment is inviting AND ridiculously clean. Everyone I have come into contact with at St. Peters has been both competent and kind. If you are pregnant, get on the waiting list asap. When we toured St.Peter's we knew right away this was where we wanted our son. The facilities are beyond anything you will find for child care. It is clean. They have a HUGE gymnasium where the kids can have recess in the winter or when it's rainy. There are balls, toys, trykes for them to ride, etc. This is something we didn't find ANYWHERE else. And in Minnesota, a space for kids to run around indoors is so essential. They also have a muscle room for the kids who are just learning to move around. There are safe objects for them to climb on. Often times at pickup I will see kids riding around in the buggies down the halls just for a change of scenery while they wait for their parents. I think in the summer they walk back and forth outside on the sidewalk out front. The infant room has volunteer grandmothers that come and rock babies, our son gets a ton more attention than he did at the daycare we used while waiting for his spot at St.Peters. The grandmas enjoy holding him when he naps at times, even though it's not necessary, they just like to. I drop in sometimes and visit my son. Most of the times I've come he's being held or he's playing and happy. (they do not ususally know I'm coming) The atmosphere is inviting and the staff and volunteers display so much love for the kids it makes my heart happy to witness. In the short time he's been there they have done multiple art projects. The kids go to chapel on a regular basis as well. Tonight is a christmas concert that the children are putting on for the parents. They have parent aware nights where you can meet other parents and everyone does some type of volunteer activity together. The last one was making meals for people less fortunate. When we started we received a welcome bag with lots of fun stuff including a hand made knitted blanket. I mean I could go on and on all day. This place has exceeded our wildest expectations and knowing what childcare can be like elsewhere I sometimes have to pinch myself that this is real life. Since starting, my baby boy has not giggled and smiled so much in his entire life. I can tell he is truely happy here.
