I'm currently attending Adler Graduate School to become a clinical counselor, and after a lot of research, I'm really glad I chose this program.
One of the biggest reasons I picked Adler was that, even though the classes are online, they're taught live. That means you get to regularly interact with your professors and classmates instead of just working through material on your own. Before enrolling, I was worried that an online program would feel isolating and that I'd mostly be teaching myself from textbooks. That hasn't been my experience at all. The live classes make it feel much more engaging and connected.
Another factor was the cost. When I compared Adler to other online counseling programs, many of them were 25-50% more expensive without offering any clear advantages. Adler seemed to provide a strong program at a much more reasonable price.
Overall, I've had a very positive experience. The program is challenging, but I feel like I'm learning the skills and knowledge I need to be successful in the field. Most of the professors are passionate about what they teach and are willing to take the time to support students individually. I've also found the administrative staff to be responsive and helpful whenever questions or concerns come up.
I also appreciate the small class sizes. Most of my classes have had between 10 and 20 students, which makes it easier to participate, get to know your classmates, and build relationships with your professors.
If you're looking for an online school that doesn't feel like a diploma mill and actually provides a sense of connection, I think Adler Graduate School is definitely worth considering. read more
