I am writing my review on Faith Village and Crown College. First, I went to crown for four years…read moreand I had a pretty good experience but for my husband it was terrible. Crown College claims to have a criminal justice program, but they fail to tell their students that they are not certified by the POST. Which means that my husband would have to go to additional school (1-3 semesters more) if he wanted to be able to be a police officer. In addition, they told him many lies that he would be able to graduate and then go to police academy. This is a complete lie. Also, not only did that happen but his classes were pointless. My husband learned nothing in his time at Crown. The teachers that are apart of the program do a half A*s job teaching. They combined TWO classes together (when he was paying for both if I might add) and they met in the professors office... Which is completely inappropriate because she is a female and he is a male and sometimes he would be the only one that showed up to class (there were only 3 students in his class). So basically the time my husband spent at Crown was a complete waste of money and he has now transferred to be able to get a better education that will actually help him in his career. My next thing is about living at Faith Village at Crown College. I would highly recommend not to. First of all, their maintenance staff does not do anything. They never shoveled the sidewalks and they never did the work orders that were put it. Sometimes it took them three days to fix something. One time we put in a work order for our toilet and they didn't come for THREE days... we only had one toilet in the apartment . Another time our sink had a crack and water was leaking all over we put in multiple request and spoke to many people and they did not get to the request for SEVERAL days after. I think that it was ridiculous because we had water all over our floor and we could not wash any dishes. Overall, I think Crown has a lot of work to do to get up to standards. I do not even think that they should offer a criminal justice program if they do not have the resources to educate their students or to help them succeed. It is a waste of thousands of dollars and not worth it. Also, I would recommend they get more maintenance staff to fix serious issues that happen.

So I decided to learn how to drive a motorcycle in case I have to recreate his stunts. After this course, you WILL be able to ride a motorcycle. Really awesome instructors and a fun class. Learning to be a beer judge was number one, but this was right behind it. Give it a shot. Why not at least learn how to ride a cycle? I don't think I will ever buy one, but if you can learn a new skill in a week, why not?

Recently (2014-2016) he spent 2-1/2 years at Minnesota School of Business, where he thrived and excelled academically. Then they shut their doors in the middle of his schooling, pretty much souring him on higher education. But Susan at HTC has been so welcoming and encouraging that he has high hopes (or in his words, "cautious optimism" which is the most excitement you'll get! :D) about again pursuing a degree. I was really pleased to learn that some, if not many, of his credits from MSB will transfer. We await the admissions office decision on that, but many students have successfully made the switch. Everything has been smooth during enrollment for fall, so I'll update this review in a few months. I'm very happy with the admissions process and helpfulness of the staff.

I have never taken a course at the University of Minnesota (UMN). I used to hang out in this area…read moremainly because I like Dinkytown, which is the heart of UMN student life. I like the stores and good eats in this neighbourhood. I've always felt comfortable visiting universities and checking out campuses. It's no different here. I had a friend who got his master and doctorate degrees from this university, so I got to hear about his experiences when we both lived in Minnesota. I am a hockey fan. The UMN has a decent hockey program, both men's and women's. You often see local talent make it to the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Frost rosters, respectively. Alex Goligoski, who recently retired from the NHL, played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers at UMN before he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He won the Stanley Cup with this team, but spent his last three years with the Wild as a defenseman. During his 1,000th NHL game, he scored the game-winning goal, which was quite the storybook ending. As of late, Brock Faber is a solid defenseman on the Wild. He is starting his second full season with the team and was captain of the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He is young, but exceptionally skilled and mature beyond his years. Taylor Heise, who is a forward for the PWHL's Minnesota Frost, played for the Minnesota women's hockey team. The Frost won the Walter Cup and she won the Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP award. If I were looking into academics, UMN has both computer science and mathematics departments that would have appealed to me. It is similar to York University in that you can choose to do either a Bachelor of Arts or Science in either field. Only a Master of Science is available in both. You can also study towards a PhD in either domain. UMN has a Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing and Communication. Many universities start off offering Technical Writing degrees as an Arts degree. I like the shift with universities going with a Bachelor of Science. Technical writers are needed more than ever to explain technical, complex details as clearly and concisely in engineering, medical, and more. It's makes more sense that it's a Science degree. This university does not offer graduate degrees in Technical Writing. It's one reason why I didn't do my Master's here. I don't have any inclination to get a doctorate. If UMN offered one in my chosen field, I'd consider it if the price is affordable and I could do it remotely. It was nice being back in the area. (394)

University of Minnesota has 12 men's and 13 women's teams. We are particularly proud of the hockey team. They are really doing well this season. I'm recommending you get to a game if you are a fan of hockey. The program has a long history. This is a historic University.

The new vision for the institution is to be similar as walking through the streets of heaven. However, this could be further from the truth, as NCU has a vision of the "perfect christian". If you do not properly fit these specifications, you will be an outlier for a majority of your college experience. This is not how Christ depicts heaven to be upon reviewing the scriptures. Racism, homophobia, and religious manipulation are three issues that are common social issues & themes throughout the student body and chapel services. Many students, including myself, came to NCU eager to grow in their faith, yet after a year of observing the "God" and the meaning of "being a Christian", many student lose their faith. I am awarding two stars, because there are a few professors that stand out & invest in their students, regardless of whether they fit the NCU mold. However, these staff members are few. Education is mediocre. Rules are controlling. Regardless of the message NCU attempts to portray, they are simply a business looking to make money and will gladly take advantage of students who may be struggling.
