Shawn took a look around, listened to what I had in mind, and thankfully told me what would or wouldn't work. He picked a beautiful quartz counter top, gave me options to choose from for the paint, faucet and hardware. He has a great team working for him. They were respectful and trustworthy. The refinished cabinets look like new. They do high quality work. He made his best effort to get things done within the time frame discussed but, as with any renovation, there were some unexpected issues that led to minor delays and affected cost. I really appreciated how his main concern was that I was happy with the end result. Before and in process photos attached (forgot to take a picture of the final product and don't want to clean the kitchen right now).

We had discussed a major remodeling of our outdated original master bathroom for a few years but…read morefelt overwhelmed with a project of this size. We just did not know where to begin. A thorough search LED us to Shawn and Create Interior Design. He came and met with us several times to explain his process and guide us through the entire project step by step. He drafted several design concepts based on our input and refined them until we were happy. After the basics had been locked down, it was much easier for us to choose specific tiles, colors and fixtures. The lifelike 3D renderings provided a clear vision of what the finished bathroom would look like, and removed all the guesswork and stress from this project. Shawn provided us with an extremely detailed list of every item and exact cost for the project including scheduling, permits, demo, construction, inspections and every material and fixture. It was clear that we were in experienced and competent hands. We chose to have Shawn and his team handle the project and complete all of the work period his crew was incredible. Each craftsman who worked on different parts of the remodeling was clearly a skilled professional with attention to detail and pride in their workmanship. They accommodated small changes and dealt with unforeseen issues as they occurred. Despite the scale and duration of this total remodel, they kept the work area much cleaner and more organized than we had expected. The finshed result is truly amazing. We now have a totally new bathroom which is the highlight of the entire house. We would highly recommend Create Interior Design and Shawn's thorough approach to designing, documenting, organizing and implementing your home remodeling dream project.

The primary project goal was to customize the home interiors to work better for the family living arrangement and bring more daylight into the home. The budget was fairly tight but there were lofty design and detailing goals. It was difficult to find a contractor that was interested in a project of this scale, who could deliver the level of finish expectations, and meet the clients' budget and schedule goals. We were introduced to Matan, who ended up being the perfect match for the project. Matan was thorough and transparent with his estimates in the initial budgeting stage. He carefully reviewed drawings and asked questions to make sure the design vision was being executed to a high level. He was very communicative about progress and construction issues, to ensure the project went as smoothly as possible. When unforeseen conditions were discovered, he addressed them quickly and fairly. The family moved out of the house during construction, but with young kids, they were eager to get back in as quickly as possible. Matan prepared an initial schedule and attentively managed the project to stay on track and get the family back home on time. In the end, the project was a huge success thanks to Matan and his team.

We obtained four estimates and Kevin's team came in at a reasonable cost (and locally owned). About a year and a half after the work was completed, one of the towel racks became lose and we were concerned that it was an installation issues... Kevin's team promptly came out and repaired (turned out the rack had proper fasteners and installed correctly so damage was our fault). His bid was competitive, but unlike other bidders he doesn't nickel and dime you on every detail or simple change. He made the whole project easy for us and finished the work in record time based on our experience with previous projects. The crew started demo on a Monday and by Friday we had the first city inspection. Six weeks later the project was complete with all appliances in, custom cabinets installed, new tiles and countertops in. They even worked some weekends. The whole crew were really great, expert, timely, and very easy to have in the house. They were friendly, honest, responsive, and experienced. His cabinet maker is local and delivered a great design, timely delivery and was very responsive. His countertop fabricator also did an excellent job. The scope of the project was extensive: all new semi custom cabinets, a new island, and new perimeter countertops, along with a complete replacement of our appliances some of which we wanted flush mounted (easier said than done). One of the trickier pieces was retrofitting a range hood, which added a fair amount of complexity to the install, but the team handled it without missing a beat. What really set this project apart was the level of coordination among everyone involved. Every craftsman on the job communicated clearly with one another, and just as importantly, Joe stayed in steady contact with my wife and me throughout the process. That kind of teamwork kept the project moving efficiently from start to finish, with minimal delays and no surprises. Even when we were out of town for part of the renovation, we never felt out of the loop as Joe sent regular updates with photos and progress notes, so we always knew exactly where things stood. The end result is a kitchen that's both beautifully finished and highly functional, and the process to get there was refreshingly smooth. If you're considering a kitchen remodel, don't hesitate to reach out to JR's, you'll be in good hands from demo day to final walkthrough.
