If I could put negative stars for this company, I most certainly would. They take hundreds of dollars monthly, and for what? They don't even insure anything. I got my car broken into a couple days ago, and my deductible can't even cover it. This isn't the first time that my car had been vandalized before either. A few years ago, my parked car was struck by a hit and run and with such a long and aggravating process, I was told the lady had no insurance and I would have to pay out of pocket for the damage. At this point, they're getting away with so much it's not even funny. On top of paying these scammers for making sure they insure us, we still have to deal with the financial burdens of things that sometimes we didn't even cause to begin with. How they're still open is beyond me. AAA is the way to go read more

Progressive insurance is a nightmare. My claim rep's name is Giana Malone who is impossible to deal with. I missed her first phone call about my claim, then the nightmare began. I called her and left a voicemail every day for 3 weeks and texted her every day in the same period of time, no response. I know she's not on vacation because I did get lucky and she answered the phone once during these 3 weeks instead of going to her voicemail, and she said she would call, still, nothing. I was almost driven to crazy by this kind of treatment. I even thought about setting up an alarm and continue calling every day for the another month, then I realized how crazy this sounds. Then I called progressive and asked for changing my rep to another person. I was told my request will be given to the supervisor named Billy Trejo, and I was also told since it was Thursday afternoon, Billy will call me the next day. I waited and Friday no phone call. I call Billy on Monday, left a Voicemail and the voicemail said all phone call would be replied by the next business day. I waited and Tuesday no phone call. So one month of the nightmare later, I am still waiting for that first phone call of my claim. I am helpless and turning into yelp. If anyone in progress sees this, please ask either Giana Malone or Billy Trejo to call me. If this review is still here after days or months or years, that means I never got that phone call from progressive and no one in progress even care about their reputation and treat customs like dust. read more

So basically long story short my car got backed into at a stop sign the other driver was waiting at the stop sign and decided to back up like an idiot. The other drive decided he was going to avoid the situation. My claim finally got resolved after 107 days the claims adjuster I originally had wasn't trying to do his job and couldn't even call me back which is disrespectful. You get what you pay for I guess. We have had Progressive Insurance on our motor homes for years, having chosen them because of the ease of purchasing coverage online without having to use an agent, and also because of their low cost. We had two claims in 2017, and Progressive settled both of them fairly. In January of 2017 the roof coating of our coach was destroyed as I drove through a severe wind storm on I-15 near Cajon Pass in Southern California. They paid something around $10,000 for a new roof at my choice of repair facility. The claim was handled pretty slowly at first as I waited about a week or so for the adjuster to inspect the damage. But after that delay I was pleased by their service. I agreed to wait a month or so for the facility to get to my coach, but they kept it inside and under cover the entire time and that was an important consideration. I wanted it done right and they were the best place for such work. There were other delays at the facility but the job was done very well and I was very pleased with the new roof. We were uninjured, but the coach was totaled due to the extensive front end damage. Progressive paid us the agreed value of the coach in a very timely manner although the accident was entirely the other driver's fault. They then recovered their costs from the other driver's insurance company. We were very pleased with their response after that awful experience. I had called at 9 pm because i had gotten locked out of my car and needed assistance. I was stranded in a parking lot with a lot of creepy men walking around. so i had called my insurance for assistance and waited for 3 hours just to get a notification that they were on there way but i had already contacted someone else who was way more efficient and reliable. i had also called 3 different times just for an update if anyone was even coming and was put on hold for 40+ minutes and when i did get to talk to a representative they weren't much help either. read more

I filed a claim with them and their underwriter Homesite. I have ceilings in my bathroom that the were damaged due to a bad roof leak in the storms from february. If this tells you anything I am just getting some money out of them to fix them. They want to put the least expensive option, which will look like two large bandaids, on my ceiling. My adjuster would not respond to me so I took it to his supervisor who told me I could do the rest of the claim with him. He then stopped responding as well. Worst experience ever with an insurance company. The worst part is they don't care. I now have to may at minimum, $3000 out of pocket. Its looking more like $7000. read more

I have been being jerked around since July 31 when our truck was rear ended by a progressive person. I have been trying to contact a Supervisor named Jarell West ( Who NEVER answers his phone) Then I'm told he noted on the computer several attempts to contact us including voice mail. Jarell West you are full of it no calls were received or voice mail. Then when I ask the speak to a different Supervisor the lady hung up on me. Progressive should be ashamed how they treat people. Jordon was able to help more in half hour then I've been helped all week. Kudos to you JORDON FARRELL you were a great help. read more

Sorry but after our phone conversation and instead of BUNDLING OUR POLICY WHICH WE HAVE HAD FIR 10 years you screwed us on buying RV insurance !!!!! As we are trying to enjoy our buying our RV and we call your company to purchase it with the 3 vehicles we already have we get a quote and at the end of conversation the guy says will that be credit or debit card ??? I SAID EXCISE ME??? How much he quoted $900 for the year and you wanted the whole amount bad I am standing there buying our RV ready to drive off with it. This car insurance company, especially the Modesto, CA. Branch is the absolute worst car insurance agency I have ever encountered or used in my 20+ years of driving. I was involved in a car accident when a hit and run happened in which I reported immediately. I had full coverage plus I paid for the car rental part in my insurance policy and not once was offered a rental vehicle! An ex-girlfriend of mine called in and reported false accusations of foul play after the vehicle was already reported wrecked in which Progressive immediately started treating me like a criminal and from that point on did not work with me on getting the insurance claim processed or handled. They instead started a huge investigation in which took over 4 months to get to the bottom of and during this time the ex-girlfriend called into Progressive admitting that she had lied about the accusations of insurance fraud in which my car now had been reprocessed during the 4 month process in which destroyed my credit. Progressive never ended up paying my car off in which now I got screwed with a $10,000+ bill because Progressive decided to not treat their customer like a good customer in which I was and had proved! One of the worst decisions I ever made was to go with this insurance company. I have been a customer for 17 years, and never really had to deal with them very much. Now that I have a claim, they have shown me that I wasted alot of money paying them for insurance every month. They have become adversarial, and would rather jerk me around, then protect my interests. I feel like they are doing everything backwards, and not actually doing their job. Ive had to fight with them every step of the way begging to speak to managers when I know its not right and taking abuse from the adjustor. Now that I told them I feel compelled to contact the state department of insurance, the manager wants to call me and tell me that from now on, I only deal with him, and that they are going to call me to get a recorded statement...after three months of this claim being open!! After hitting an object in the road we had to have my son's van towed to a shop. The owner suggested calling the insurance because the damage was extensive (higher than the deductible). We called Progressive and they told us an assessor would look at it within 48 business hours. BUSINESS hours? Told the rep this was NOT ACCEPTABLE. They had someone at the shop within 48 hours. Still too long but from that point to completion of the final paper work it was fairly smooth sailing. Oh, the van was assessed as a total loss (almost $9000 in repairs).
