Coach Maria's Monday classes really start my week off in the right direction. Her Thursday classes are great for recovery and resetting. Coach Thumpz is incredible and has helped me a lot with my jiujitsu. We've incorporated fast twitch muscle fibers as well as cardio to my routine. I come here twice a week sometimes just once depending on injuries and how work and jiujitsu gets in the way. But everytime I come here it's a check up to keep things intact and develop. Before comp I was coming twice a week training VERY hard. The workout is trailered for winning and performance. I'm extremely greatful and I plan on staying here. I'm undated thus far and won Gold at grappling X at 135-145. They makesure I'm keeping strength while dropping weight. Or I'm keeping speed while gaining weight. Lifting is all very new to me so I'm glad I come here. This place is designed to give you in EDGE. Coach Thumpz is passionate, athletic, strong, and can help with combat sports. When I walked in i was immediately greeted. The owner of the place gave me a tour of the gym and a rundown of who and what they were. I love that this place gives you multiple options as far as have a private session vs a semi. It was very confusing to understand at first but once you get yh3 hang of it all, there's no question. My personal trainer is Betty-Lou and she is hands down the definition of a personal trainer. This woman is so knowledgeable especially when it comes to corrective fitness. You tell her what hurts a d shell instantly tell you what's wrong. I'm saying 99% of the time she's spot on. She's open, friendly, professional, and extremely smart it's only been a few months and I'm already seeing some changes within my body. All of the lower back pain I came in with has gotten so much better. There is so much more that can be said about this place, all positive things too! Carlos and Amanda are both wonderful as well. They'll definitely give you that hard push you need to really break a sweat. It's nice that all the trainers here are very personable, funny, yet professional. I haven't had one bad experience here (minus of course the cost which is still BETTER than a lot of trainers that are ylat your local gym, but still totally worth it). What an amazing place! And they train veterans for free! I can't say enough good things about this program and how they are linked up with Heroes Movement. The trainers are awesome and really know the ins and outs of how training should be incorporated at a slow pace in order to bring balance to the body. The facility is clean and neat. In November of 2017 Rachel from Brawnergy Massage and Body Work recommended I contact Eric at PHP. My muscle tone was non existent I was flabby and I felt weak. In the past I had been to a traditional gym where I would concentrate on cardio because the machines were so intimidating and I worried I would use them incorrectly and injure myself. I met with Eric and and started strength training and yoga at PHP. I was so awkward and had to be shown multiple times how to do an exercise. My balance was wobbly and my confidence non existent. Each Trainer I have worked with at PHP is companionate, patient, caring and competent. They push you in a non intimidating way. They cheer you on. For the first time in at least 10 years I feel like my body is functioning as one strong unit vs. multiple parts that don't want to work together. After less than two months working with Ambrose, I am no longer afraid to push myself. He has helped me balance my body and strengthen muscles that had become weak and stopped responding, causing me in the past to throw my back out over and over, strain my shoulder, excessive hip and pelvic girdle pain, etc. Pregnancies, surgeries and a history of back pain kept me from working my body the way it needed for fear of hurting myself yet again. My physician referred me to a local Physical Therapy clinic for my shoulder, however the treatment was so mild and poorly targeted that I saw very little benefit. Eric and his team used a lot of combination movements to strengthen and stabilize the joint, working all of the surrounding muscle groups. The manual work in the private session was most helpful in getting nearly a 100% turnaround in 2 months from an injury that seemed to never want to heal (6+ months of pain and failed treatments prior).
