This more a…read moretestament about simple integrity and straightforwardness in business, which is becoming rarer and rarer as our civilization tumbles downhill. I'm from out of town, visiting my folks here. I took my 2015 Mustang to Speidell because I had a bunch of little scratches all over the car and I wanted a paint estimate. They told me straight away that the cost of painting it would be a lot, and, given the car's age and mileage, they asked if I'd be interested in other options, which I was. Then they recommended I take the car to Ming's and see what they could do about buffing some of the scratches out and then, if that didn't do the trick, considering some paint options. I did this and Ming's did a great job. But I just can't thank Speidell enough for pointing me their way and quickly grasping the situation and helping an out-of-towner. They could easily have tried to sell me thousands of bucks of paint work from them, but they gave me an honest appraisal of the work and the cost, and I just really appreciated how I was treated.

So I branched out looking for someone I could trust and also get a fair price. Well I searched for several days and then called 4 Brothers. I spoke with Clark about what I needed. He had an engine that would fit my Jeep. Without me asking he gave me the VIN number, mileage, compression data, and oil pressure of the used enging. Wow!! After calling 20 some yards I found someone with ethics that wasn't out to make a fast buck.. I bought the engine with about 120,000 miles on it. It shipped quick, got to me in about 3 days, and when installed the engine worked great. My mechanic was really impressed. Also I got a pretty good price on the engine. Clark and 4 Brothers gave me great service, and a great motor at a very fair price. And the fact that I knew I could trust Clark was the big clencher. I really feel he had my best intention at heart. In this day and age that is pretty rare I hat to say. Give these guys a try and tell them Greg from Chicago suggested them. You won't regret your move.. Go 4 Brothers!!

We received a faulty repair job from this shop that caused a brake failure at 45mph. We got a…read moresecond opinion from a more trusted mechanic who said that Zig had left a piece of the old brake pad lodged up against the rotor, which chewed up the rotor. The second opinion also stated that the Caliper had been poorly installed with what looked like intentional stripping on the screws. Additionally, the second opinion (as well as about an hour of research based on part numbers) show that his mark up is over 100% in nearly all cases, sometimes reaching north of 200%. A standard markup of 25%-50% is expected, but this is absurd. I approached Zig about this while being as polite as possible, scheduling a time where he would be free to chat. I talked about the markup first, he refused to provide invoices or markup rates. Upon presenting the evidence of an incorrect installation, he offered $50 out of his pocket for the new brake pads without admitting any fault, saying it would be impossible for him to make this error. I politely declined given his repairs were over $500 (the other shop we took it to re-fixed everything with better results and half the price), and he told me to "get the f*ck out". He refused to view further evidence when offered. With this many reviews bringing up small claims court, I would say its safe to stay as far from this business as possible. Some have said "you get what you pay for", while commenting on Zigs poor quality, but we did not even receive that. We received bottom of the barrel service that resulted in a life-threatening situation, and a slap in the face.

When I described the problem to a staff member, he stated I'd have to go to the dealership, based on what I had described to him over the phone. Without going into great detail, he wouldn't even consider that the problem could be handled by 6 to 6 without having to take it to a dealership. I expected him to offer to have me bring it in so they could at least look at it, but he seemed unwilling to have 6 to 6 even attempt to resolve the issue. I'm so disappointed in the lack of customer service from a shop I'd been relying on for years. I've found a new repair shop, but I'm really sorry to have to end my customer relationship with 6 to 6 Auto Service. Perhaps they can afford to lose customers over the poor customer service provided by one employee who apparently doesn't understand how to accommodate a client.
