My family's experience working with Farhad was hands down THE BEST experience we have ever had…read morehiring someone for home improvement work. Our project began when I came home to visit my mom and smelled gas: her old cooktop (and I mean 20+ years old) was leaking gas internally, and PG&E came around to shut the gas off. After discovering that all the standard-sized cooktops were either too big for her cabinets or too small for the existing opening, I finally got an idea to check IKEA and found that their european sizing would work perfectly. The problem was: how to install the cooktop? I used Yelp to send quotes out to many appliance servicing and repair companies and 4Wires was the first to respond. Based on my description of the issue alone, Farhad was confident he could help us with the install and asked if we might also send photos. I obliged and be provided a very reasonable quote for the work the same day. Farhad was very flexible about finding a date and time that worked for us. He arrived within the window he gave us and before entering attempted to put booties on his shoes before we insisted that wasn't necessary. We had the space prepped for him and had even purchased supplies he might need (like a flexible hose), but Farhad assured us that we could leave everything to him. As I mentioned, this project was for my mother, who is older and hard of hearing. Farhad explained everything he was going to do very clearly and was totally patient with my mom--something even I have difficulty managing sometimes! Before he made any cuts, he took careful measurements and drew exactly how the cooktop would sit. We discussed some challenges with the job, such as the placement of the pre-existing gas line, and Farhad gave recommendations and clear explanations, so we felt confident in his judgement. I could tell that he was passionate about his work and cared about the quality of the finish. At one point, my mom mentioned that it would probably be easier for him to cut just one side of the opening, but he insisted we should center the cooktop so it would sit properly under the hood and look more esthetically pleasing. When we expressed concerns about keeping the edges clean and asking if caulk would be necessary, he assured us that he had a tape that would secure the cooktop without causing damage during future removals or repairs like cutting caulk away would. I had to leave for work before the project really got underway, but when I spoke to my mom afterwards she gushed about the mastery of Farhad's skill. The cuts were precise and he didn't take out more of the countertop than was necessary. The placement of the gas line posed to be a logistical and safety concern, and so he moved it to be more accessible, saving us from having to call in a plumber to do the work. He worked neatly and efficiently: despite this being a rather complicated job, he was finished in a few hours. When I visited my mom's after work, I had to marvel at how beautifully the cooktop fit. Everything was in good working order as well, and my mom could start using the cooktop that night. She also mentioned to me that Farhad obliged her by looking at a few other projects in the house, including a light in the kitchen that wasn't working properly and another one in the closet. Farhad gave good advice about the light in the kitchen and even offered to come back and address the closet light the next time he was in town--truly above and beyond! Not only does Farhad do incredible work, he is also a decent and kind human being. If his interactions with my mom weren't enough, he candidly shared details about his family and the life they are building here in the US, and it felt good to support this very hardworking and honest man. Honestly, I think he doesn't charge enough for his expert work and service! In my mind, there is no one else I will ever call for any future appliance need. lied and sold me AMAZON PARTS I Insisted on OEM Parts from…read moremy first phone call and low and behold i got lied to and amazon parts at TOP $$$$$$ My washing machine pump failed 10 months ago i called these guys and told them its not draining it needs a pump "can you bring a NEW LG PUMP i DONT want knock off parts i want factory parts" Being a contractor myself i knew it was the pump you could hear it when it ran it was messed up and didnt drain so i told them model and serial # to bring pump with them they confirmed. tech showed up removed my pump and sure enough it was broken runs out to his van grabs a all white taped up box comes in tosses in the pump and hey it worked "FOR NOW" gives me the bill $257.40 takes old pump with him see you later bye! Me being in the service industry myself i know this was not a factory pump it was not an LG box it had no part number on it it look like it came out of a damn amazon locker!!!!!! for goodness sakes! if i amazon that pump its $25 I called them furious I let them know this is illegal to have these kind of mark ups!!! Per the California state Attorney General any business in the state of California is legally allowed a 33% markup on materials. So I don't care if you're selling groceries and you're on the biggest grocery chain in the industry you're still only allowed a 33% mark up or if you're selling liquor or cigarettes at the corner store you're only allowed to 33% markup however I was charged 185 bucks for a $25 pump out of an Amazon locker. They assured me they used a factory replacement pump and priced me per the blue book Here we are 10 months down the road and I wake up to my wife telling me our laundry room is flooding the washing machine just drained all over the floor Of course we mop and clean all that up and I called another technician from another reputable company I explain that the pump is replaced about 10 months ago however it was aftermarket...... They told me to leave the machine off until they get here with new pump Lo and behold technician shows up tears apart my machine and what does he find??????????????? Broken pump and pump is full of water leaking Is the pump and LG part?????? Absolutely not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
