I went to Profi in the morning when there wasn't a long line. I really enjoyed a breakfast crepe of eggs and cheese with some coffee. The service was super nice and prompt. The crap itself was exactly what you would think of a crap and it was nice and thin. I would've liked the egg and cheese crack to have a little more cheese, but other than that it was really good. I would come back.

Crepes , sandwiches & more: thin, fresh made, some are sweet and savory, others are hearty and yummy Service: friendly, but not very efficient , given the limited cooking space and long line of people waiting especially in the morning time, the wait can be long. Location: inside Reading Market, convenient, centrally located Parking: very difficult to find with limited street parkings Atmosphere: long line mainly in the morning rush and afternoon , crowded, lively, and smells delicious Pricing: reasonable Highly recommended by @WineDinenVacay

Highly recommend trying these crepes. My family makes homemade crepes every Sunday - and these could rival our special family recipe! They are light and thin, with a generous amount of filling and perfect amount of powered sugar on top. We visited around 1pm on a Saturday. There was ample counter space available for seating. The crepes were ready fairly quickly (within 10 minutes) and we loved that you could see them being made fresh in front of you! Would love to come back for a savory crepe in the future.

Friendly staff. Made to order. The croissant was pretty big, flaky and buttery. The actual filling (egg&salmon) was bland and not seasoned.

We got the berry Nutella crepe as a dessert and it did not disappoint! There was a godd nutella to fruit ratio and the berries were fresh. Crepe was consistently thin and tasted good. As busy as Reading Terminal is, they had seating and you could watch them make the crepe right in front of you. Planning to try a savory crepe next time!

Wow, who'd thunk that a creperie would have actual seating! Located near the front of the RTM, it's a place to plop down and order a quick crepe. I was here on a very busy late Saturday morning and my Nutella crepe arrived within a few minutes after I ordered it. Generous filling and about $5. So fresh and soft. Next time I'll order it with strawberries too. Mmmm.

Profi's caught my eye right away as I walked into RTM for breakfast. The menu is extensive, from sweet to savory crepes, as well as croissants. They're both big, and while I can speak for the deliciousness of the crepe, I didn't try the croissant but I imagine it's top notch as well! They have 2 neon lit-up signs so you can't miss it. Waited about 7 minutes for the food so it's quick! Also had about 15 high-top seats for comfort!

Loved my sweet crepe. Had pineapple, raspberry, blueberries in it. Very tasty and filling for lunch. They were out of strawberries, which I prefer. And they didn't put much powdered sugar on it. I enjoyed it tho.

Hands down the best thing I have ever eaten!!!! I got the "prima Dona" which is a sweet crepe with apples, caramel, ice cream, and whip creme. They peeled and sliced a fresh apple right in front of me. So yummy!!

Stopped in Reading Terminal Market for breakfast! Profi's smelled delicious and there weren't a ton of breakfast options available so we headed there immediately. The line wasn't overly long and moved pretty quickly. We had the caramel, peach & strawberry crepe with powdered sugar and walnuts on top. We also were able to sit at the high tops there. The crepe was absolutely delicious and incredibly soft and sweet. Since I split with my boyfriend, we were still hungry (which wasn't a bad thing since we got to check out more of the market!) but it probably would've been a solid breakfast if I had eaten it myself. Overall, would definitely recommend stopping by!

Savory crepes for lunch or breakfast!

I saw some nice appetizers and chose a sandwich as well. I started with the Artichoke Hummus with Feta and Grilled Focaccia - it was excellent! Large chunks of artichoke with the creamy hummus and little balls of feta were such a great combination. However, it was the Grilled Focaccia that brought the spread to its peak. Light and slightly crunchy it was so delicious with the hummus! Next up, the Pistachio Herbed Ricotta with Lavender Honey Bruschetta. I took my first bite started to chew and had to close my eyes as I was transported to a 'heavenly' taste. The pistachio with the creamy ricotta was amazing, and with the lavender honey, it was over the top. I told the server it could be a dessert as well! After two great appetizers, I was really looking forward to my 'main dish' - the Smoked Chicken Sandwich with Cabot Cheddar, fresh tomato and arugula, and a truffle herbed aioli (I opted out of the bacon). I took a bite and of this thick smoked chicken breast with a fabulous aioli dressing and was delighted it was every bit as delicious as the appetizers! The chicken was tender complimented by the cheese, tomato and arugula-but I had the dressing come on the side and found myself adding more and more, it was so good! What a gem in Center Cjty - it's a must try!

Small, rustic, a little loud, Monk's Cafe is exactly what you want from a proper Belgian beer bar. Original plan was to sneak away solo for a bit during our Labor Day weekend trip, since we had two families with young kids in tow, but in the end everyone decided to come along, and it turned out to be a great call. There are plenty of kid-friendly food options, so nobody was stuck without something to eat. The real treat this visit was a tap takeover by Cantillon, the legendary Belgian lambic brewery out of Brussels. Getting to try a couple of their beers on tap was honestly a bit of a dream - it's the kind of thing you don't expect to find outside of Belgium, so I definitely took advantage. Food-wise[1], we ordered the pork belly, the duck salad, and the squash & mushrooms - all excellent, but the duck salad was the standout of the table. The also offer 5 different kinds of mussels, each version prepared with a different kind of beer, and multiple vegetarian options. This is a step above typical pub food, more refined without losing any of the coziness. We went as a group of six on a Saturday late afternoon, no reservation, and waited about 30 minutes for a table - not bad at all for a Saturday. We grabbed a couple of beers at the bar while we waited, and ended up getting seated at one of the large round tables up front, which worked perfectly for our group. Already looking forward to going back. ------------------------------------ [1] Menu: https://www.monkscafe.com/menu

I tried: + Pickled shrimp + Half dozen east coast oysters + green garlic escar-roll + Heirloom tomatoes with peaches and fromage blanc + castle valley polenta with corn and chanterelles + Fried zucchini flowers + Extra sour baguette The tomatoes and polenta were the top highlights. Also loved the pickled shrimp, oysters, and escar-roll. Only miss was the zucchini flowers - couldn't really taste the flowers, just batter, and the ratatouille wasn't my favorite flavor. Then, for the entrees (we shared), we ordered the bavette (steak) with green beans and potato salad and striped bass, and for dessert, we ordered the corn brûlée. For drinks, two of us ordered a cantaloupe mocktail which was very refreshing. Overall, the food was great. I never knew you could pickle shrimp but pairing it with the saltine crackers was a nice touch since the pickled shrimp would be too sour on its own. The green garlic escar-roll tasted like a fancy garlic roll and it was pretty big for one person so it was easy to share. However, it was hard to cut and share the quail "galan-terrine" since the terrine is inside a quail bird and the bones were still there. The richness of the terrine was balanced with the brioche bread, since we spread it on top of the bread. The bavette (wagyu beef) was delicious but it was a bit on the chewy side since it was cooked medium rare (they didn't ask if we had a preference for the steak - rare, medium rare, medium well, well, etc) and the striped bass was fresh (however, the portion of the bass was small). For dessert, we ordered the corn brûlée and we didn't realize it was a corn brûlée (thought it was a regular crème brûlée at first) but it did have a subtle corn flavor, if you like the taste of corn desserts. Since it was my birthday and I made the reservation letting them know, they surprised us with two complimentary desserts: soft serve in mini sauce cups and a caramel ganache. They also gave me a super cute card with the My Loup logo (wiener dog) signed by the staff. This was one of the best birthday dinners I've had and I felt special. I would come back again, especially to celebrate special occasions and birthdays. The staff were sweet, the food was delicious, and the extra desserts and card were wonderful. :)
