Ok! So...at one time we purchased a new LL Bean Edition Outback from Profile...wasn't a bargain basement model, if memory serves me right. We now have a 2018 Outback which we purchased new from another dealership ( we were out of area at the time..), but have brought into Profile for services. Today I inquired as to the cost for our upcoming 60000 mile service and whether I could get a free loaner as we have had in the past for other large services. I was told it would cost $35.00 for the loaner since we bought the car somewhere else!! ( Forgive us for not living and supporting area businesses WHEN WE WEREN'T EVEN HERE!!) I was staying in Conway for the first 2 weeks of December and my oil change was due, so I went to the closest one... Fast forward to today, 12/27/19, I had to get the tire rotation done. And I was notified by the service tech in my main Subaru in MA that my filters were not changed, even though they were checked off that they were "ok" in the final checklist they gave. I bought my Subaru Forester new from Profile and have had all service and repairs done there since then. My husband brought the car in for an inspection sticker. He waited for the car where this usually does not take long. After 1 1/2 hours they told him the car failed inspection because of a loose right ball joint. I looked back into my records and that ball joint was replaced by them 18 months ago and 30,000 miles. I went in today to ask them what they were going to do about it where it should have lasted for 70,000 - 150,000 miles. They told me that they only guarantee the work for one year regardless of the mileage. They either installed a faulty part or they did not perform the work correctly. They lost two customers today, my husband also brings his car there. BTW I can usually feel something when a ball joint is loose and there is no noise or vibration on the highway. read more

Driving from Wisconsin to NH, hit bad weather. Drove through a deep puddle which damaged the car. Made a horrible noise, but still drivable. Had car checked in Ohio couldn't determine cause. Once in NH called Profile to get an appointment. Explained the situation and they got us in the same day. They were diligent in locating the problem and communicating what was wrong. I financed a car from here recently. I knew exactly what I wanted the moment I walked in. I was slightly nervous as a few other dealerships that I've been to have always tried to push me into something I don't want. That wasn't the case here. The sales rep I dealt with was very nice. He showed me a car that matched what I wanted for a price that was better than what other dealerships were offering. He also managed to get me a great rate on it as well. Our car had electrical issues that seem to have been caused by a water leak. They repaired the electrical and refused to investigate the cause of the water leak -- which wasn't ideal but was ok. We had the water leak repaired elsewhere only to find that Profile had failed to dry the liner under the carpet, so a huge amount of water trapped in the car seeped out and fouled the electronics Profile had just replaced. Rather than go back to Profile we decided to drive to another dealer two hours away and had a completely different and far more helpful experience. I would never bring my car to this dealer for any reason again. read more

Profile subaru is a bunch of thieves, They sold me a car that was in an accident. They would do nothing about it. Over the years i have spent thousands of dollars trying to repair it and i still am. The salesman did not show me the carfax i was in and out very quickly just so he could make a sale. So i finally got a carfax done and it showed an accident prior to my purchase and i confronted them. They did nothing about it not even a apology. They cost me thousands of dollars!!!!!!!! They tried to blame it on my paint and other mods, im a gearhead and work on cars so i know wbat was damaged from the accident including the frame, tires, fender, engine, suspension and more! My advise is to stay away from profile they are CROOKS!!!!!!!!! read more

i brought my truck that i purchased there in for a sticker the kid came out stating i needed 1500 worth of work to get a sticker they put down parts that dont exist a complete rip off ive bought 3 new cars from the profile group there wont be a 4th not that it matters but im a disabled vet with a disabled vet license plate and ionly put 500 miles on since last brake job(culprit) read more

For years we were bludgeoned/entertained by Profile Subaru's ads on WMWV's Morning Weather Show with Briggs Bunker and the Mt. Washington crew. (At least they changed their ad periodically, unlike Reliable Oil and Propane whose ads touting 'recent customer survey' have not changed as the years have gone by). So when it came time to buy a used car, Consumer Reports provided the ratings on used cars, and Subaru came out on top for the 2012/2013 Forester model years. Profile's ads paid off, and we bought a 2013 Forester from them. Staff was very courteous and helpful through the whole process. An excellent car-buying experience. read more

My letter to Subaru- I am writing to express my deep disappointment with my recent Subaru purchase from Profile Subaru. I consider myself to be a loyal Subaru customer. Being a mother, it is important to me that I have a safe and reliable car for my family and I have found both those in my previous Subarus. My first 2 Subaru purchases were from a Subaru dealership and I had absolutely great experiences both times. It gave me such peace of mind buying a car that I knew had been brought up to date on its service by the dealership and knowing I would not have to worry about either safety or reliability. My first Subaru had 156,000 miles on it and yet I had zero mechanical issues after purchase. So, when it came time for a new car this summer I did not consider any other vehicle but a Subaru and I only considered buying from a dealership so that I could have the same peace of mind. I purchased my 3rd Subaru Forester from Profile Subaru on May 14, 2015. In less than 3 months since buying my Forester from your dealership I have experienced everything but safety, reliability and peace of mind. There are several reasons for this. First, the Subaru was sold to me with only one key. I was not made aware of this until after paperwork had been signed and I was taken outside and handed this one key. Having an extra set of keys is important to me for safety reasons. If I lock myself out of my car or, even worse, one of my children gets locked in the car, I need to be able to unlock the car with a second key. For this reason, I called your service department to inquire about getting the second key that should have been given to me at purchase and found out it would cost me $220 to have a second key made. An expense I do not feel I should have to pay because an extra key should have come with my purchase just like every other vehicle purchase I have made. Although cause for disappointment, the one key issue is the least of my concerns. Not too long after purchasing my new Subaru from your dealership my check engine light came on. I promptly scheduled an appointment with your service department, took time off of work, and brought the car in to be checked. I was told that it needed new spark plugs and that I was responsible for paying for this service. I am very disappointed that this service had not been completed prior to me purchasing the vehicle, especially given the fact that your own website states this should be done at 60,000 miles and the Subaru I purchased had more than this mileage. This is the kind of lack of maintenance I would expect from a private party sale, not a dealership. This lack of service negates my reasons for buying from a Subaru dealership. Not only does it strip my peace of mind but it also inconveniences me by having to take several hours off work to drive to your dealership and wait for my car to have a service completed that should have already been done by you prior to you selling the car. Not to mention, the financial cost to me. After spending thousands more on a dealership purchase than it would have cost me to purchase from a private party, I was now responsible for maintenance costs out of pocket. Also, this repair did not remedy the vehicle's issue as the check engine light came on just a few days after the spark plugs were replaced. For the second time I had to take time off of work, drive to Profile Subaru and wait for service to be completed. Even more than all these above, today I discovered that I need new brakes and rotors for my back tires. After hearing a grinding noise coming from the back wheel, I had it inspected. What we found was beyond unacceptable. One of the back brake pads was completely worn down to nothing but metal. The other nearing the same amount of wear. As for the rotors, they were terribly grinded down. I am extremely upset that your dealership sold me a vehicle this unsafe to drive and as a result I unknowingly drove my family in such an unsafe car with no back brakes. This is absolutely unacceptable. It also concerns me that your service department gave the car a pass on its New Hampshire safety inspection when brakes are specifically outlined as one of the items included in the inspection process. I am just appalled. Of less importance than the safety issue, but still noteworthy, is my out of pocket expense once again to have this repair completed. These back brakes clearly should not have passed safety inspection and Profile Subaru should have never sold a vehicle without first replacing such worn brakes. With all these issues in such a short span of time since owning the Forester, my sense of safety and peace of mind have completely vanished. I am constantly worried about breaking down and now have the added worry that there may be other safety items that do not meet inspection standard. I feel unsafe driving the vehicle you sold me in such poor condition. I am also upset about the financial burden it has caused my family. read more

I bought a top-of-the-line Outback 6-cyl and have been back to the dealership now two times so I feel I have enough to review now. I own and buy A LOT of cars. This dealership is solidly average. The facility is good. The prices are fair but you can do better elsewhere. The key is that they are the only one around for quite a few miles up here in Central NH. I think that THEY think more of themselves than they should. Make no mistake, they are A-OK. Let's review some things. First is price, I assure you that you can save $200 - $300 by going elsewhere - but honestly is it worth it? Second is a classic scam - they will give you 100,000 miles protection assuming you NEVER MISS one of their over-priced services - and be aware you will pay thousands of dollars more over that 100,000 miles. So count on $12 more for an oil change, $50-75 more for the scheduled maintenance at the 15,000 and 30,000 levels, so on and so forth - again nothing unusual here. My wife is hook-line-and sinker on the oldest scam in the book. Third the pushiness. If you go in for service, stay in the courtesy room. If you go into the showroom you will be accosted by a salesman. Here's a great sequence - The salesman says - "Hey how would you like to upgrade to that one you're looking at?" (I am looking at an impreza with a sticker price $15,000 lower than the car I bought 6 months ago). I say "No thanks I only have 6,000 miles on my new Outback" His answer? "even better - go trade-up". So as I try to remember the exact difference between a moron and an imbecile, I just retreated back to the waiting room. So in conclusion, you'll get an OK price, good service, and classic "I read the book on how to sell a car" salesman. Nothing special here, but nothing bad either. cookie-cutter dealership. read more

I have been a customer of Profile Subaru for several years. What kept me coming back was Mike, the service contact at the time. Then Profile did some remodeling and shifting of roles, and Mike though overseer of service, was no longer the point person. And to be honest, I cannot remember the replacement's name, but I was not impressed, no follow through. Lots of talk ...but. Since my Forester was old it really didn't matter that I went to the dealer for service. This past spring I purchased a 2015 Forester at a dealership in another state, and just recently needed a routine service. I was hesitant to go back to Profile, but I wanted to give them a chance. WOW !! The new ( to me anyway) service point person, Jeremy, has quintessential customer service skills. And there was Mike too !! I'll be back for sure, and can again completely recommend this dealership. This is my 4th Subaru, with experience at dealerships in three states. Customer service matters. read more
