Fourth experience and always the same. Everything suggested was nothing more than what I expected and the work --- ball joints on an AWD infinity, for example --- perfect. Josh the manager and Josh the one of the head mechanics are personable knowledge, and honest, This morning I took a QX60 to recharge the A/C and when I described the behavior Josh assured of what I thought --- the A/C was cutting out because the car was idling in a 95 degree sun for too long and with no air flow over the radiator, the system shut off the compressor. He said it wasn't worth spending the money to top up the pressure if it worked as is. And as the last manager Lance Foss was also high in my esteem, I can assume that the N Conway franchise will keep its reputation. read more

The 1000.00 brake/rotor job was not done properly. The calipers were installed improperly, they were not greased, the brake were not braking adequately and when I called, I was told that we would have to pay 115.00 an hour for labor, buy new rotors, and the brake pads would be free. SERIOUSLY? We were driving a car that is improperly braking because you did subpar work and now I have to pay? DO NOT RECOMMEND, NOT FOR FREE, NOT EVER. GO TO A RESPECTABLE LOCAL GUY AND SUPPORT HIM!!!!!!! read more

Went to another shop for a 14 month inspection sticker to match my new 14 month NH registration. Instead, that shop gave me a sticker that expired in two months, even though that is against the law in NH - the inspection needs to match the length of the registration. Same cost as 14 month inspection, and they didn't even let me know what they did. When I confronted them, they said they ran out of the correct stickers so just gave me an old one. Well, Midas fixed it, same day - gave me the sticker for 14 months instead - legal and appreciated! Super nice people. Thanks for your help! read more

You're going to see some pretty awesome reviews and maybe wonder "awe c'mon" but I'll tell ya, it's all true. Basically, my front disk brakes needed to be replaced. Seemed fine until some miles into our trip a noise developed on one side that got progressively worse. By the time we got up to Conway on Sunday they were toast and scary. I went on line, looked for repair shops and after reading the Midas reviews, especially how they really try to help you, I decided on them and I have to say "wow, awesome" they squeezed me in after first letting me take the time to get groceries - nothing to eat at the cottage, kids and all that. I mean how nice is that. Gal at the service counter was super. Only thing missing was her cape. But they were all super, got my SUV in quick, and out in 2 hours. Talk about a big save! read more

We were on vacation in North Conway and discovered that my son needed two new tires to be able to pass inspection. Went on line Saturday morning and discovered that Midas was open til noon and did in fact have the tire size we needed in stock. When I got there Kelly couldn't have been nicer explained the price, timing, etc. I was in and out in 90 minutes. Got great service and a fair price. Would highly recommend this shop. read more

The crew checked my tire to see if it could be patched free of charge and when they didn't have my tire in stock they gave me the name of someone who DID! My Jeep decided to start pouring coolant while vacationing for Labor Day weekend, after calling several other local repair shops all of whom said they were too busy to even take it in, a family friend recommended I take it over to Kelly at Midas. They took it in first thing, called me within an hour with the problem and what it would cost to repair then had it fixed by that afternoon. I should add when I pulled in at 7:25AM there was already a line formed at the door, they were by no means slow and just back from vacation. I highly recommend this shop! Awesome service from Ron and his staff. Pathfinder broke down outside of Cannon Mountain On our way to North Conway. We had AAA tow it to Midas on Sunday of Presidents weekend. They referred us to one of their sponsored shops but I asked for Midas as I knew they would be open and hopefully quicker than most. I was not disappointed. They opened at 7:30 and by 7:45 my truck was in a lift and by 10:00 the vehicle was fixed. Replaced left front wheel bearing for a very reasonable price and had my family back on the road and only missed a 1/2 day of skiing! Great work and even friendlier staff. read more

My car completely died while on a weekend trip to New Hampshire. I had it towed to Midas late on a Saturday night. The next morning I called and spoke to Haig, who said I needed a new alternator and catalytic converter (a BIG job). It was a Sunday and they were closing at noon, but Haig said they would "do their best". By 11:30am, my car was fixed and running better than ever. Not only that, but they charged me a fair and affordable price for the parts and labor. Haig and his team went out of their way to provide exceptional quality and customer service. Without them, I would have been stranded and forced to spend a lot of extra money on bus, plane, and train tickets in order to get back home for work on Monday, and then back to New Hampshire to get my car. I've been going to midas for a long time and have always had good experiences. This specific location went above and beyond to help me though!! I was car shopping in the area and brought in the car I was looking at for a prepurchase inspection. First off, they were able to fit me in for the same day even though they were busy, and not only did they squeeze me in, but they also took the time to bring me into the garage and show me all of the different aspects of the car and which parts are good and which ones I need to keep an eye on. As someone who doesn't know a ton about cars, this was so helpful!! I wish I lived closer so I could bring my cars in there all the time! read more

Went there today to check a tire that had a slow leak. Staff was extremely friendly and removed a nice nail from my tire. 10 min and $25 later I was on my way. Different from the usual "chain" auto places you find, felt very small town and charming. If I ever have a problem and I'm up here again I'll definitely stop in! Bonus: Santa was there getting his car (sleigh) looked at. Made a good experience even better as most of the staff came out to say hello. read more

I stopped by to ask if I needed new tires, and Ron gave me excellent advice and I went ahead to order the tires. We were on vacation, anxious to get out to explore the area, when our rental car showed a low tire pressure! OH NO!!! What to do??!? It was driveable, so took it to the Hertz rental place in the area, and they didn't even have the equipment to put air in the tire, let along change the tire or a rental to replace the car!! So we went to Kelly & Ron's Midas shop and they were so nice and accommodating. The put us in the rotation quickly, and plugged the leak in the tire. We were back in the road within 1/2 hour. He found a rock wedged in the wheel well and fixed me up with no charge! I thought my vacation was ruined. We were back on the road in a couple hours! While on a family vacation to New Hampshire, we noticed a ticking noise in our vehicle that had us very concerned. Certain that we needed an oil change at the very least, we checked for service stations in the area. Seeing positive reviews for Midas and specifically for "Haig", we set out to make Midas our first stop today. The new owner ( of about a year), Ron, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He got our 2012 Equinox in for an oil change and we were on our way for the day in less than an hour! The ticking was gone, and we relaxed and visited some of the sights for the remainder of the day. The shop is clean and the bathroom is the cutest I've ever seen at a service station!! In addition, I had a complimentary cup of coffee and Ron gave us some great tips on places to go to try to spot a Moose!! We highly recommend this business if you are in the area and find yourself needing their help. read more

If your having any car trouble or could use any maintenance at all on your car id recommend coming here! Not just for the work but the service is great! My cars check engine light came on and was sounding horrible, not only did they find the problem & fix it quickly. I was overdue for oil/lube on Pontiac Sunfire, and, noticed a 'clunk' coming from the front end when negotiating the turns on the Kank Hwy this week. Brakes were showing signs of end of useful life, too (uneven pressure on hard stops). I drove in their shop at 1 pm during the week to at least get the oil/lube done and get the 'clunk' diagnosed. I drove out a little over 2 hours later with oil & lube done, 'clunk' was a missing sway rod that they replaced the sway rod assemblies on both sides of front wheels, and, new brakes and rotors. The whole shebang was a little over $400 dollars=reasonable for the location, time of year and being in a tourist trap area. The owners of the shop are both deliteful people to interact with, professional, to the point and hard working. I had selected this shop to at least do an oil change based on Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. If I lived in the area I would make this my go to shop for service. I continue to be blessed in finding GREAT service for my car! read more

I have a 2003 Honda CRV with 180,000 miles on it. I've been going to this local Midas for years and have had nothing but excellent service. Now the new owners have taken over and they are just as committed to service. Jeff their mechanic has been there for years and has worked on my car many times. Stopped in for a tire change over and oil change and they pointed out that my tires were worn and should be replaced (no pressure). I bought the tires they recommended for a very fair price and they are the quietest and smoothest tires this CRV has had. Shortly after I stopped in to have a rattle (CRV's do not rattle!) checked out and they found the simple fix in minutes. While I was there I had them refinish my headlights which were so foggy it was amazing they worked at night at all. The work they did was stellar! The headlights are like NEW. Hard to believe they are on my 12 year old Honda. Did an inspection and they could have easily told my I needed something fixed but told me all was well and my front brakes were good for a few more months. They did not charge me for fixing the rattle! They are nice people on top of that. Nice to have a local shop like this. read more
