Resil Home Improvements was the best priced and came with good recommendations. I took a chance on them and couldn't be happier. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves after each day. Living through construction is hard so this is important. They offered financing options which I needed. They have a show room on 111th and Kedzie making it convenient for me to see samples. Pinterest was also wonderful for paint ideas and other details. My whole first floor was updated and is absolutely beautiful. I look forward to working with them next year when I tackle the outside. I feel obliged to share this wonderful outcome with you. If you have any type of home-improvement coming up, I strongly recommend you get three prices and include Resil in the bidding. They will not let you down. Thanks to my construction team Dave, Mike, Patrick, and Bartek. I'm so happy!

Tried and Tested... Resil Home Improvements Is the Real…read moreDeal! This review does not greet you during the honeymoon phase of a beautiful home renovation. In fact, the Resil Team completed a full reconfiguration of our kitchen just ahead of Thanksgiving 2023. My wife and I set out to inventory local contractors for multiple home Improvements. Spring of 2023, we attended the Oak Lawn Home and Garden Show to speak with professionals in the industry. The team over at Resil were one of many vendors present for home and/or property construction. We left the event with a host of companies to choose from. We learned very quickly that contractors lose enthusiasm and interest when you actually do your homework prior to a major project. We chose Resil. The owner Mike, and his team were clear experts of this industry. We decided to start with the kitchen instead of our three bathrooms. From start to finish, the entire Resil Crew maintained a professionalism that was greatly appreciated. They arrived as scheduled and worked in rotation according to their particular craft and expertise. In closing, One Year Later, our reconfigured kitchen has hosted 2023 and 2024, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners; and it's still beautiful and functional! We gained a ton of storage space, our college and high school kids have enjoyed entertaining friends, but most importantly, my wife still raves about how our kitchen allows her to face our family and guest when preparing meals! We've shared Resil Home Improvements with neighbors and friends because their carpentry reflects their character. We're planning our next projects with Resil!

Chad kept us informed every step of the way, from what work was being done, to the estimates completion date. When he showed up for the estimate, he gave us some options, took some measurements and we had a written estimate before he left. From approving the estimate to the materials showing up was only two weeks! The crew (Andy and Jack) showed up every day ready to work and did so tirelessly until the end of each day. They asked great questions to make sure nothing got damaged or misplaced, and the finished product was better that we had hoped! All scrap was removed and our yard was left in great condition. The job took six days for removal of old material and installation of new siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. Most importantly, the wife is happy!

Worth Every Penny: Exceptional Painting and Service…read more We needed to get our family home ready to sell fast. My Colonial Painting came through in a big way. We needed the living room, dining room, hallway, and stairway painted on a very tight timeline. They worked five days in a row, including the weekend, with anywhere from three to five painters working at a time to get the job done. Our home has an incredible amount of detailed trim windows, doors with windows, baseboards, chair rails, ceiling trim, radiator covers, and ceilings. They used six gallons of white paint just on the trim! Before painting, they spent two full days on prep work alone: sanding every surface, caulking every joint, glazing the windows so they could spray them, and carefully protecting the carpet, light fixtures, and everything else in the house. The attention to detail was outstanding. When they were finished, they didn't just pack up and leave. They thoroughly cleaned the space, vacuumed, and cleaned up their staging areas. Communication was top-notch from start to finish, and the entire process was incredibly easy. My Colonial Painting is a premium service, and they charge accordingly. But you get what you pay for. We got speed, professionalism, exceptional preparation, meticulous attention to detail, and a beautiful finished product. After 50 years in this house, I can honestly say, I have never seen these walls look this smooth. If you are looking for the cheapest painter, they may not be your choice. But if you want the job done quickly, correctly, beautifully, and with an incredible level of care, My Colonial Painting is absolutely worth it.

Charlie from Sales was such a pleasure to work with and very funny. There were multiple options, colors and materials and Charlie gave us so many suggestions and help that it was easy to choose colors and options to stay within our budget. The roof and gutters were done really quickly, even with all the delays due to the rainy weather. Windows needed to be ordered and it took 8 weeks, but once done, they look awesome. We were worried about 2 specific windows, but once Heritage took care of them, our concerns were taken care of without us even asking. Each interaction we have with a different staff member is a pleasure. Really a great company to work with. Shout out to Danny who worked with us on our roof and gutters. Great people.
