I recently hired Alexandra from Proficient Clean to clean my house for the second time. I had her focus on areas that we had not had time to clean the first time. Alex cleaned the inside of my refrigerator (which I had not cleaned in about seven years) from top to bottom. She also removed all of the dirt and dust from my front door and security door. She cleaned my blinds and windows. She used her vacuum to remove the dust from my couch. She also removed the dust from lots of objects around the house, such as vacuum cleaners, travel bags, lamps, etc. Living in a dust-free house is priceless, and Alex's cleaning services represent a tremendous value. I requested what they refer to as a basic cleaning of my townhouse. The cleaning lady they've been sending is friendly and does such a thorough, professional cleaning. They can be scheduled weekly, monthly, or like I do...on an on-call basis. Just be aware, that on an on-call basis, it'll take up to a week for someone to be scheduled, which is fine with me. Based on positive reviews, I asked for a quote for a deep cleaning service before we move in. Alex was quick to reply. She sent the quote, which is pretty reasonable. She later sent the info of her team who will be coming to the property. My main requests were for the shower at the master's bathroom and kitchen cabinets to be thoroughly cleaned. June and Zenna did a great job. The soap scum build up on the shower walls totally blurred the glass walls. When I came back to check everything, I was surprised to clearly see the inside of the shower. The kitchen cabinets were very clean too. I had a very accomodating experience with PC. First of all, they gave me a quote, always replied to my emails and did a follow up call to my enquires. They were then booked up on the dates I needed, but were kind enough to make the clean happen in my very small window of time between Airbnb tenants. So I appreciated that big time! I got an instant quote using Proficient Clean's website. An e-mail with the quote was sent to me, inviting me to respond to the e-mail or call them to schedule a cleaning. I had a few questions, so I responded to the e-mail, asking them to call me. Three business days passed, and I got no phone call, so I called them. Of course, I had to leave a message, so I asked for a return call. Two more days passed, and I got no phone call. Just wow!! The only reason I got professional help to clean was because it was a requirement prior to moving out of my apartment, but Im very impressed at the work! Two person came, in 2,5 hours they only clean bathrooms when they came to kitchen they said already 5 hrs each person made 2,5 hours. In the offer says 2bd 2bth 5-6 hrs it's $175 but in 5 hrs with their count half of the job done. Go for people giving flat rate. If I let them do rest of it , they would finish 10 hrs with their count and charge me $350. Other companies were giving $350 -$250 flat rate. Who is honest? They said they didn't wanna let me down!!! You can explain when you come over, not after 2,5 hours later. I would give you some money for showing up and let you go!!! By the way you didn't finish the kitchen properly!!! The owner gave me the quote was $210, when the workers came to my house they cost me another $70 dollars because my house is big. ( house size been told over the phone ) also, workers go out to smoke during the cleaning without telling us and time still counting the cleaning time ($35 dollar per hour) . One worker broken my vessel and tell me she doesn't want to cleaning the shelf because she afraid to broken another one, what? I sent requests through Yelp for quotes. II had a response within 5 minutes from Proficient. Of the four others I had sent for quotes, they ranged from 6 hours to not at all. Good way to start. Proficient was the most thorough quote and reasonable in pricing. We made arrangements for a date and time. On the day arranged, two people showed up ready and equipped to do the job 15 minutes early. After giving a quick tour of the home and my expectations - they immediately got to work. When done, the house was spotless and thoroughly complete. I could not find anything missed. While I had planned on a one-time cleaning, I am planning of having them come out on a regular schedule. read more

I waited to write the review as I felt June and Melinda were super nice and I appreciated the company's quick reply and working with my short notice but I do want give productive feedback. As I did read the reviews before I booked, my experience may have been a one off. June seemed to do a lot of the work and help explain how to do things to Melinda. That's not a bad thing but it did add to time and some of the advice was given after the upstairs had been done. My master bed was left as I had made it. I do straighten it every morning and was surprised the bed was not tidied up and the shams/pillows put on it ( they were nearly placed on the lounger in the master bedroom). I've used other companies and they have always dressed the bed nicely even if I had it partially made. I stuck to the floor in my master shower so I had to scrub it along with the vanity. My master sink drain didn't look like it was cleaned (June showed Melinda how to clean them downstairs later that day). So I cleaned the master sinks again. Most of my downstairs is tile and I did steam it after the cleaning as there was a film. I understand that as the last company I used had trouble with my floor the first time they did it too. Using a swiffer type mop with rags is ok but think the rags had cleaner or something on them leading to a film. I think part of the issue was one of the women may have been newer and the other had to pick up slack/explain things which led the time to run over and I'm sure by the time it got to mopping they were exhausted and had to wrap it up. I did not require laundry or dish services and the ladies felt the house was in good shape and the quote was appropriate; the time ran over most likely because of what I noted above. I'm mixed on scheduling another cleaning as I liked the ladies but I've also had a superior experience with my former company for $40 less (I didn't use them as they were booked and I was getting the house prepped for guests). And with my former cleaners, a supervisor checked the work after the first clean which was great! I'm not sure where I stand but for $180 plus tip, I'm not sure I want to have to post clean but may alter what I have done if I book again. We decided to try Proficient Clean based on the reviews and the pricing, which was comparable to what we were paying before. First of all, let me start with the statement that I am not very easy to please. I cannot express how elated I am with this company. Smart thinking! Day of appointment. I have a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 2800 sq. Ft. House and they estimated 4 hours with one person. My appointment was 9am. Door bell rang at 8:59am. I love promptness. The Lady was bubbly and all smiles and we did a walk through together. She understood and repeated everything that were my priorities and everything that was more of an "if there is time left can you..." and then she got started. She stayed about 45 mins extra and didn't charge me but I cannot tell you how amazing my home looked. This girl worked nonstop the entire time. She hustled it out! Update number 2 after writing the review, I heard from the owner Alex. We scheduled for the next Tuesday. Zena was right on time and everything was beautiful. UPDATED REVIEW 1/25/19: have been using this company for awhile now and have had some issues with staff showing up late. Not usually a huge deal as the owner usually emails. However, today I got an email saying the person was going to be 30-45 minutes late. This was already concerning since we have family coming over tonight. 12:45, still nobody here. I tried emailing. I called and got voicemail. No response. I sent a text message and was told they're coming. I explained we would need to reschedule as family would be here at the house and I wanted to reschedule for Monday or Tuesday since more family was coming Wednesday. At this point the owner just stopped responding. Very unprofessional. Scheduled with Alex to have someone come to the house. She was extremely responsive and accommodating. She answered all of my questions about chemicals and pets. Zena came yesterday. I did the walkthrough with her and she got to work. She had me let her know what were priorities for us. After she was done she had me walk through to make sure we were happy. Everything was beautiful and spotless. We have already scheduled our next appointment. First time using proficient clean and overall we are very satisfied. The ladies were here for close to 5.5 hours and really dug in and got things cleaned. There were a few obvious things missed, like dog nose marks on the slider and dirt spots on the walls from dogs and kids as well as 1 door jam and 2 areas on the baseboards. This was easily offset by the areas other cleaners have neglected in the past like our vents, blinds, and upper cabinets. The price included cleaning the fridge and freezer which they were not able to complete because i was not home to empty them and they stated health codes and not being allowed to touch our food... perfectly fine and I understand completely. All in all the deep cleaning was quoted at $290 and for the work done the price seemed very fair. I would recommend giving them a try if you need some cleanup around the house. read more

When one calls for a cleaning service, one expects to come home to a clean home. The one star is for the communication from the owner before the service was done. She was prompt and I was notified of pricing and what kind of service I would be receiving. I was promised a 3 hour window, from 2-5 pm, with 5 man hours to clean my 2900 sq/ft home but when the cleaner arrived alone and stayed only 3 hours, I was quite disappointed. I paid less because she worked only 3 hours but the house cleaning was not finished. The whole downstairs was not cleaned except the kitchen and floors. Dust still everywhere. The downstairs bathroom was not even touched. There was no detail in the work that was done because she was trying to finish as much as she could in 3 hours because she was sent by herself. Bottom line, the cleaning was not done. My husband said the cleaner worked hard but the cleaning was not finished and I still paid for a bad service. 5 man hours were promised and only one person was sent and left after 3. They should have sent 2 people to do the job that was promised. read more
