We called him when the tour was over and he said that he would pick us up in about twenty minutes, half an hour passed so we phoned him again , this time he gave an excuse that the traffic was heavy on the bridge which was not true . After about another forty five minutes we phoned again but he did not answer his phone and it went to the answering service. CHS is the international airport in Charleston…read more The most laidback airport I've ever experiences. It's small but mighty and is super easy to fly in and out of. Usually I'm filled with high anxiety at airports because of the normal hustle and bustle but this one was different. Definitely a stark difference from both FLL and MIA, which is where I flew in and out of for my flights here and back. You know it's a small airport when you arrive at departures and the sign to get dropped off says "All Airlines". There's a pretty good selection of food by the gates. They have water filling stations. Did I mention that they have *working* outlets by all the chairs at their gates. I put an emphasis on working because this is often a struggle to find at airpots I've been to. Overall, a five star experience at this airport.

I loved the little surveys that Alli would send out because it made sharing information a lot easier- like ordering the magic bands for example. Prior to arriving in disney, we received our magic bands and a little care package from Alli with a ton of helpful information for our upcoming trip. It included suggest itineraries as well as fun facts like all the mickey shaped food and where each ride takes your photo. Another great thing was that Alli wasn't constantly trying to upsell us on unnecessary things. One suggestion she did make was to get the memory maker- which was a great idea and I would not have known about it if it was not for her! The memory maker is discounted if you buy in advance and gives you access to all of the photos in the park- that you can easily download from the app or online. I also appreciated that Alli always responded to all of my questions very quickly (and I did have a ton of questions). We were in the parks at the same time and she gave me her cell phone number for any last minute questions! I definitely recommend Alli to anyone who is planning an upcoming trip to Disney World!

From the moment we boarded the boat, everything was organized & punctual. The journey out to Bull Island is a treat -- a scenic, peaceful ride through pristine Lowcountry waterways, filled with wildlife sightings from sea birds to feeding dolphins. The beach drop itself is a joyful way to raise awareness and funds for sea turtle conservation. The team does an incredible job explaining the significance of the event, the impact of donations, and the vital work being done to protect these gentle creatures. Walking the beach on Bull Island with the guides who are knowledgeable & passionate about the area & conservation is a real treat. They make the entire event feel intimate and authentic. Plus, knowing that every dollar raised goes toward conservation efforts just adds to the overall sense of purpose. Bring beach/water shoes, lots of water, it gets very hot with little shade, lots of snacks, sunscreen & a hat. There is very little shade. I highly recommend this educational boat trip for all ages. Despite not living in South Carolina, I have now been on the Bull Island Ferry three times. I'm not…read morethe only one; whenever they ask the crowd if there are repeat visitors, usually around a third or so of people's hands go up. Which is to say, if you're wondering why someone would pay forty bucks a head to take a boat to an undeveloped island when there are other boneyard beaches and fields of spartina grass all around, there are plenty of right answers. The land here is beautiful and undeveloped, and while there is a small public dock where anyone can land, there are not going to be a ton of people on this island. It's large enough to be quite dynamic, with thick forests giving away to wetlands reclaiming the ditches dug by the island's previous owner; the beaches are only part of the attraction. The heat, humidity, and bugs can be bad in summer, so going during the cooler months is actually better in my experience. There are tons of alligators, which are quite large but unlike Australian crocodiles, are relatively safe to be around if you don't do anything dumb. Other wildlife and plants will vary, but will certainly be interesting. By and large, the trails are wide and well-kept, and if you take the early boat in, you can get a good run of half the island or so if you stay on your feet. Conversely, you can also relax on an isolated yet spectacular beach. If you're lucky you can find a sand dollar, and plenty of other shells and artifacts can be collected (though the wildlife refuge imposes some limits). Bringing your own food/water/sunscreen/insect repellent is a must. Regarding weather, they take a credit card number to hold your reservation but won't actually charge you until the tour is done. It would be hard to be in the continental U.S. and find a spot that is cleaner, more beautiful, and more interesting than this one.

The…read moretour bus dropped us off at the plantation and said to meet back at the bus parking lot at 1:30pm. 6 of us met at the bus parking lot at that time and here it is 3:06pm and we have not seen the bus. We tried to resolve this through the company, dispatcher said she'd have the driver call us, he never did and now we are waiting for a cab which was arranged through our hotel. Both calls were answered promptly by a real human who felt like the owner and seemed to have a smile as he spoke. The tour companies with whom I booked via TourPass had us noted in their reservation system and I didn't need to show the QR code in the app. We used the vendor check-in function for the "classic tours", of which there are many! It was easy to do and all were familiar with TourPass. My only wish is that we could have done a Classic on one of the days the pass wasn't active. We didn't need more signature tours (3 in 2 days was abundant), but I would have loved to get to one more on the classic list. I have no idea what it takes to create something like this and how all the vendors are compensated, but it worked great and helped with planning. No question we saved money vs. paying for each thing we did if we had done it separately.
