Ghost crab

Our guides were great! Knowledge and funny. Island was awesome. Saw an alligator, ghost crab, and amazing beach. This is not for the faint of heart. It's quite a walk/hike, mosquitos, and can get hot, However if you love adventures, I would encourage it. Loved it!

We took the Coastal Expeditions ferry to Bulls Island. We definitely picked the perfect day. Temp around 70 and overcast. The waves were incredible in the ocean. Boneyard beach was fascinating to see how roots on some trees still intact. Collected lots of sand dollars and a couple of large shells. Guides were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Dolphins swam near boat on way over. Great day trip. Lots of walking if you want or you can chill on beach.

A beautiful trip where we saw animal tracks, wildlife, history, and views we had never seen before! We found a washed up boat, starfish, knobbed whelk shells (one with a snail still living in it!), sand dollars, dolphins, it was incredible! Annie was very knowledgeable and a big help in making the trip informative and exciting! I live 10 hours away but I for sure want to come back! There's too much to see and learn for just one trip!

Boneyard Beach

Amazing experience, being out in nature and being on Bulls Island. The Ferry staff was SUPER knowledgeable and very friendly! Lots of walking, some bugs and magnificent birds! Boneyard beach was the star (summertime). We will definitely be back in winter months to hike Old fort road to the north end of the island. Hiking sandals or bringing an extra pair of shoes in a pack is ideal for both the beach and hiking.

Things to note: bring extra bug spray, and make sure you put the spray everywhere you can on your body! The bathrooms were full of mosquitos and they waste no time in biting you. put sun screen on before you come, bring water, wear shoes that have good footing and can get wet. Wear loose fitting/ light weight long sleeves and maybe a hat. The walk is about 7 miles round trip. It's worth it, 100% but it's kinda a lot. Boneyard beach was loads of fun, just take your time in looking around and you will find many different shells and drift wood. I'd say it was worth the $75 per person. Make your reservation before you go, and make sure you get there early as the ferry leaves at 9a on the dot, they wait for no one, same when leaving the island (2p).

Well worth the trip. Defiantly bring some bug spray, I think I skipped over that too but it's worth the trip and the money. The views are great and pictures

My husband and I took our grandchildren out this morning. My oldest son met us there and took pictures...I am sure he will be back too. We all had a wonderful time. The ferry ride was very informative and so much wildlife to see on the island. I would recommend it to everyone.

Alligator on Bull Island. I used a 300 mm telephoto lens.

If you walk through Boneyard Beach and keep going we came to an area that was full of whelks - seemed like they were everywhere!

We had a honeymoon planned for February 2026 -- or at least, we thought we did. Gretchen and her…read morecompany charged us a $300 administration fee up front, which she said was required for her to guide us step-by-step through the entire planning process and be available to us during our trip. It was pitched as a fully supported, stress-free experience. All we had to do was show up. From the beginning, communication was incredibly poor. I gave her the benefit of the doubt at first due to the wildfires in California at the time, even going out of my way to check in on her and her family. I chalked up missed deadlines to the fires and tried to be understanding. But now, with our wedding quickly approaching, we realized we had NO flight details, NO itinerary, and hadn't even heard from her in months. I reached out to check in -- and she left me on read. This wasn't the first time either. I would send polite follow-up messages like: "Hi, I can see that you've read my message, so I guess you're really busy. Can we schedule a time to talk?" Only then would she respond. This cycle happened more than once. But this month was the final straw. I reached out to start looking at plane tickets -- she left me on read again. I then followed up, expressing clearly that we were no longer comfortable continuing and wanted to know what we needed to do to receive a refund. We also paid over $1k to reserve our stay at one of the quickly booked hotels, so it was important for us to get this information. She never responded. Completely ghosted us. No explanation. No apology. Just silence. We were never rude to her. We were patient and understanding. And still -- she disappeared on us and left us without a honeymoon. This has been heartbreaking, stressful, and completely unprofessional. After digging deeper, I found that we're NOT the only ones. There are many hidden negative reviews that share the same experience: * No communication * Ghosting clients * People almost missing flights * Others stranded out of the country with no help She may still have good reviews online, but don't be fooled -- the bad ones are there, and they echo exactly what happened to us. This might be a scam. Use a credit card if you do move forward so you can dispute the charges. But honestly -- don't risk it. We're going to report this company to every wedding, travel, and consumer site we can find. If you care about your honeymoon (and your money), look elsewhere.

There is a reason Jim's business is called Perfect Honeymoons & Holidays - that is what he does. He…read morehelped us planned our honeymoon 12 years ago and it was perfect. A few years ago, when we wanted to visit Jamaica, he helped us pick the perfect resort. So when it was time we decided on a last-minute Christmas vacation due to some unexpected time off, we called Jim. I tried to do this by myself but going down the Google search rabbit hole trying to compare resorts, islands, find flights etc. was really time consuming and totally overwhelming. Every site starts to look the same after awhile. People don't think they need a travel agent, but we wanted to make sure we loved our vacation and didn't just hit purchase on a resort we sorta liked online. Jim sent us to the Unico resort in Rivera Maya. IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED, and most important, it didn't come up on a single search I did on my own. I am so glad we reached out to him again. I didn't even know to extend by search of Cancun resorts to include other areas. The resort was perfect - we told Jim exactly what we wanted, exactly what we wanted to spend and when we wanted to go. He delivered above and beyond on all things. No detail was overlooked. If you are in the middle of planning a wedding -or just in the middle of day to day busy life - there is nothing wrong with outsourcing planning your honeymoon or vacation to someone. Do it.
