There is a small cafe on the grounds but it's very limited options feels like a road side market. You will get some amazing photos and learn about the history of this plantation which is just as important.

This 738 acres farm was beautiful! I spent nearly four hours exploring. I stopped by the visitor center after parking and was given a map. This is where you schedule the tour of the main house (not the original). The tour runs every 30 minutes. You can view the first floor and huge patio in the back. It's worth checking out. After exited the house tour I saw a 600 year old tree by the water. Then the staff advised to head to the parting lot and hop on a trailer being pulled by a tractor for a tour of the property and a history lesson. I learned so much and enjoyed the ride. While taking in the visual beautiful I couldn't help but think about its somber beginning. The crops worked by the enslaved started with cotton and indigo (premature deaths due to the urine used in production). Then the crops were switched to pecans. I told you I learned a lot LOL! There were sessions at different times and places throughout the property offering more history. I also enjoyed a stroll through the gardens which were spectacular and in full bloom at the time I visited Memorial Weekend. They also had several enslaved homes to tour as well as one that was used as a church. And the Visitor Center, in the original cotton mill, included a small museum which housed the original cotton gin. There was a cafe with a small menu, snacks and souvenirs. You can truly spend hours. They were setting up a wedding on the house grounds with the reception being held at the Dock House (be sure to check this out too). Weddings are scheduled to start when visitors are leaving. If you're interested in American history and love to explore the outdoors I highly recommend checking out Boone Hall Plantation.
