Overall it's a nice experience. They request you lineup a half hour before departure time and let you on the boat about 10 minutes before you set sail. The front of the boat is full of these seats that are set on the floor of the ship so if you have a problem getting up from the ground that's not the spot for you. There are some bench style seats in the rear. The one thing I didn't love was they pack the boat so for many attendees it's standing room only for 2 hours. There's no narration by crew they just play some music. There is a bar on the ship but no hard alcohol so no mixed drinks. Also no snacks on the boat, It's a sunset cruise but the first hour you're driving straight into the sun so bring shades. There are two bathrooms on board which are clean and the staff is friendly but without any narration or interaction your kinda just floating along, I was a bit bored and I'm not sure why. I've done sunset cruises at other locations like in newport and loved them, this one you sail around for two hours but not much to see to be honest. I'm not saying don't give it a try I just think I was expecting something else. read more

The crew was unclear with their instructions and rude. After several phone calls assuring us that we would be able to board, the staff became very rude saying explicitly "stop calling us". They refused to let us board after being entirely unhelpful with the experience. They also refused to help us with any matters relating to refunds. This business is only about bad customer service and profit over people. Spend your vacation FAR elsewhere! read more

Tropical storm Chantel tried to ruin our boat day. But Captain Justin didn't let that happen. The first part of the trip was a little wet. Then the sun came out and we had such a great time. I even got to steer the boat . Blair kept the drinks going and Christian assisted with all the fun. The brunch was very good I really enjoyed the pastry. I cannot wait to do this again. read more

WE HAD THE BEST NIGHT thanks to @captain Justin, Sunshine & Ava -- my mom is new to the area and my husband and I are visiting, I booked this sunset cruise somewhat skeptically & was SO happily impressed and surprised by the incredible evening and spectacular crew. Not only were they all super professional, kind & excellent at their craft -- but they went ABOVE and beyond to make my mom (and so many other local guests) feel special and appreciated throughout our picturesque journey this evening. Took the 4th of July Sunset Cruise from Shem Creek. We had an amazing time. The staff was super fun, great music added fun with the glow necklaces! The captain did an incredible job keeping the boat steady and safe in the harbor for the fireworks show, which had to be difficult given all the boats around us. I would highly recommend this. Hoping to be back next year to do it again!! read more

The sunset catamaran should have been advertised as a party cruise NOT a "relaxing sunset cruise" the music was horrible and not relaxing

Buyer beware...Not one to leave a bad review however I felt compelled to share...We were visiting our daughter for the holiday and thought a cruise would be a great way to enjoy some time together...During our stay our daughter was struck with a grave condition requiring hospitalization..Unfortunately this interfered with our scheduled cruise..In an attempt to reschedule we were met with office staff that recited the cancellation policy with enthusiasm and even a joy in her voice as if to celebrate. The lack of compassion was remarkable even with an offer to show proof. Cancellations, if chronic are certainly detrimental to a business like this, however flexibility is certainly more than possible. Life happens and the woman with whom we spoke could learn that. Cudos to the captain that called to check on us before departure and showed an immense amount of compassion and offer of prayer. I suspect he is the cornerstone of the positive reviews. May God protect the crew and his passengers. read more

This is great way to spend an afternoon on the water. Cost is about $40 a person for a regular 2 hour cruise on this catamaran. It holds up to about 100 people I believe. We went with a group of friends and had a great time. It was perfect weather. We saw a few dolphins, lots of other boats, and relaxed for a bit. You can purchase beer, wine or seltzers. Water and soda is free. Bathroom is a bit hard to get to since stairs are steep but it is nice to have this option. Crew was great and met some new friends along the way. read more

If you're looking for a killer sunset cruise, this is the boat for you. The crew was phenomenal. Captain John is extremely nice and welcoming. The views were amazing. The sunset was turning the sky all sorts of oranges and violets and pinks on one side of the boat, while on the other side of the boat a giant full yellow moon was rising in the deep purple sky. We watched dolphins surf the bow of a giant freight ship. It was heaven. read more

If you don't know someone with a boat in Charleston, but want to get out on the water, this is a great option. It leaves from Shem Creek, so it's really easy to grab a drink or food before or after the cruise. The boat was large, and there were bathrooms and beer for purchase on board. When we were on our cruise, there was music playing through speaker, which was nice. We did the sunset cruise and we had a great time. It was a packed weekend on the water so I felt extra safe being on a boat with an experienced captain. The bar staff was great, and it was so much fun to mingle with other local and non-local guests during the few hours on board. This is a great, memorable experience for people from out of town and locals alike. I would definatly do it again if given the chance. read more

What an evening.. This harbor cruise was just fantastic. The Catamaran left from right outside Tavern & Table. It was a little late on departure as they were waiting on passengers who got stuck in traffic. Nice touch. They gave us two hours of beautiful scenery. They had snacks (Chips & Salsa), shrimp roll bites Water bottles as many as you wanted, soda all included in the Groupon package of $25 per person. A steal. Then they had $2.00 margaritas, beer & wines for $8 I think. Cash bar. Now, if you are looking for top shelf you won't get that here. It was basic & a whole load of fun with music that was not too loud but got you in the mood to party. I took my sisters here as they are on vacation here from Ireland. It was just perfect for them. They loved it. The crew of two were wonderful, easy going & very eager to help out in any way to make the trip even better. Highly recommend this trip when family friends are in from out of town.
