I came to this location for the first time about 2 years ago for the treatment of my sciatica problem and Rob Schreiber successfully treated me. I stopped taking pain medication in 2 to 3 months. Then I signed for straight training class for seniors and since then I am doing this activity twice a week. Rob design exercises for every patient individually according to their health. He is the best P therapist and instructor I have ever worked with. Now I fill much better , stronger and even younger than before. I highly recommend this facility to anyone.

After receiving PT in another establishment and feeling less than pleased with the results, I got a recommendation from a well-respected sports muscular therapist in the area for PT at Boston PT & Wellness. Their PT sessions proved significantly more effective in healing a nagging hamstring injury than other PT facilities. Their knowledge, skill, equipment for sports-related injuries (from 3 different practitioners in the clinic) was head and shoulders above others. I can also say that the front desk, scheduling, and billing was smooth and effective. I wholeheartedly recommend this Winchester facility as the best sports PT my family has ever received!

Since this was my second shoulder replacement, I have a basis to compare the treatment that I have received from Julia. Although I was pleased with the outcome from the other therapist, there was no comparison with the Julia's process, and results that I obtained from Julia. In reflecting back on my progress, it is now very obvious that she had built a recovery strategy for me since day one. There has been a constant progression of various exercises that she has adapted to my improving condition. In addition to the treatments, her explanation of what and why we are doing things has been spot on. I really appreciate her combination of technical expertise and practical application throughout my recovery process. Overall, an extremely positive experience. After 2 months, I had full range of motion and now, after three months, I have the go ahead to get back to a regular work out routine. With her explanation of how everything pulls together she gave me some guardrails so that I do not re-injury myself as it has only been 3 months. THANKS FOR EVEYRTHING

I went to Excel Physical Therapy for evaluation of a knee injury that has persisted for…read moreapproximately four months. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the evaluation. The PT was allotted only 30 minutes for the evaluation and did not have access to my prior operative reports. Apparently, only the physicians have access to these reports, which makes little sense to me. If a physical therapist is expected to evaluate and treat an orthopedic condition--particularly when there is a history of prior surgery--they should have access to the relevant medical information. More concerning, however, was the evaluation itself. My intake form and history were not thoroughly reviewed, I was not asked for details regarding my previous meniscal surgery, adjacent joints were not assessed, and no orthopedic/special testing of my knee was performed. The evaluation consisted primarily of range of motion, strength, circumference measurements and patellar mobility. I was ultimately told that I had posterior-chain weakness. As a physical therapist myself, I found this to be a very limited examination for someone presenting specifically with a persistent knee problem following an injury. Regardless of whether 30 minutes is sufficient for a comprehensive evaluation, clinicians need both adequate time and access to the patient's relevant medical records in order to perform a meaningful assessment. I can only speak to my own experience, but based on my experience thus far, I would not recommend Excel Physical Therapy.

My experience at Excell Orthopedics in Woburn was extremely disappointing…read more The office staff was friendly, welcoming, and I was seen right on time. My intake was completed, my medications were reviewed, and I was sent for X-rays before seeing the physician. The problem is that when I scheduled the appointment, I clearly explained the reason I needed to be seen, provided the testing that had already been completed, and filled out the online questionnaire detailing my symptoms and medical history. When the doctor entered the room, he asked why I was there. After I explained, he told me he does not treat that condition and would refer me to Neurology--even though Neurology was the specialty that referred me to him in the first place. I appreciate the doctor's honesty and that he did not attempt to treat something outside his area of expertise. However, it is frustrating that no one reviewed my referral, records, test results, or questionnaire beforehand. Had they done so, someone could have informed me that this provider does not treat my condition, saving me from leaving work, paying a specialist copay, undergoing unnecessary X-rays, and incurring additional insurance costs. The appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. The doctor reviewed EMG results I was already aware of and documented that my symptoms could be related to neuropathy, despite my explaining that my neuropathy affects my legs and feet, has significantly improved, and is not related to the shoulder and hand symptoms that began while taking a medication. I contacted a manager afterward, who acknowledged the issue and said she would educate the staff and get back to me. More than 24 hours later, I have not received a follow-up. While I appreciate the commitment to staff education, it does not address the time, money, and energy I lost, including the copays and additional imaging costs. Overall, this felt like a completely avoidable situation that should have been identified before I ever arrived for the appointment. My appointment was at 2:20 I checked in my receipt says 2:13, the women who checked me in was extremely kind and we chatted a few - I was brought back right at 2:20, went for xray at 2:30 after sitting going over my medications ect .. back to the room. The X-ray tech was very friendly also! I was back in my car at 2:43.

From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed into such a warm, friendly, and supportive environment. Stefanie, the owner, is amazing--she takes the time to really listen and understand your concerns, and you can tell how much she genuinely cares about her patients. The entire team reflects that same level of kindness and professionalism. One thing that made SUCH a difference for me--because I struggled with this for a while--was actually finding a PT practice that wasn't booked out for months and that takes health insurance. So many places either had long waitlists or didn't accept insurance, which was so frustrating. Boston Health & Wellness made it easy to get in, and the fact that they accept insurance is a huge plus and honestly such a relief! What really sets this practice apart is their holistic approach. This is NOT your typical PT office. They offer a wide range of treatments beyond traditional physical therapy, and everything is tailored to you. I've personally had dry needling and cupping, and both have made a huge difference in my pain and recovery. I've worked with Stefanie as well as Jenn and Kerri, and they are all incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and informative. The PT assistants are also fantastic! Nick has helped me a lot with exercises and stretching, and he's been so helpful and encouraging throughout the process. And I have to mention the PT dogs--Samuel Adams and Paul Revere! They bring such a fun, comforting energy and honestly make going to PT something I look forward to every week. The front desk team is always welcoming with a smile, and the overall vibe is just so positive and "homey." You can tell this practice is built on care, connection, and real results. They now have two locations (Stoneham and Wakefield), which is so convenient. I recommend Boston Health & Wellness to all my friends and family without hesitation! If you're considering physical therapy--don't wait. Book your evaluation. You will NOT be disappointed. I'm feeling better and better every week, and I'm so grateful to be a patient here
