Right at the first visit, I was certain that Dr. Spiaggia is trustworthy and that I am in safe hands. When all other doctors disregarded an MRI, he was the first person to prescribe it and then provided a bang on target, spot-on review of my condition. This man has his profession inside his blood cells, what a knowledgeable professional he is! This was when I believed that someone actually understood my problem and also what to do to make it better. I suffered from disabling cluster headache on the left side and wasted a year meeting neurologists. They are so pathetically incompetent and do not view the problem from a holistic perspective. They would only write medication after medication. Dr. Spiaggia's diagnosis that the pain was coming from the neck, totally changed the way I thought about the pain. After years of progressive degeneration of the neck resulting from sitting in front of the screen, I came to a conclusion that I had cervicogenic pain. The exercises recommended by the physical therapists helped to drastically bring down the duration of my cluster headache. The PT aides repeatedly ensured that my exercise form was correct and that all the exercises were completed by me. Thanks to Dr. Kevin Tabije for performing the trigger point injections. Their Chiropractic was below expectations and it could have been more efficient. Yet, it can be overlooked for the other things. I have had a chronic pain (Tennis elbow) since the last 18-20 months that I was treating through my orthopedic who prescribed Meloxicam and Advil as needed. These medicines have long term issues impacting kidney and liver functions. A friend recommended Gopal Patel at COPT in Somerset and I started my PT under his guidance in mid September 2023. I am very happy to state that I have been cured over 95% and pain intensity is a thing of the past. Gopal is an excellent therapist who never looks at the clock and works tirelessly to treat the symptoms and ensure the patient gets relief from the first therapy itself. I call him a magician as he has been able to help me gain strength and now I am able to do all my chores with ease. Earlier even navigating the car steering was a problem but not any more. The therapists didn't seem to care and the treatments were not helpful. It was to the point that I didn't believe in benefits of physical therapy and didn't recommend it. When I found this Kessler Rehab Center in Parlin, the front desk assistant was patient to listen to my concerns with payment and knowledgeable to help me deal with my insurance. She made it seamless for me to start my therapy sessions. I was blown away by the professionalism and competent therapists - Melissa Chendorain and her staff, Eliza. They were very helpful, caring, friendly, best bedside manner, and were really monitoring my treatments. Despite their extremely busy schedule, they were patient in showing me the exercises and watching me to ensure I did it correctly while attending to other patients. Eliza was better than my surgeon! I had a surgical wound that wouldn't heal correctly for 6 months! The surgeons looked at it a few times and said it was fine but, it was Eliza who kept a close eyes on the wound and explaining to me how it is not healing correctly. With that understanding, I was able to communicate that to the surgeon and then he prescribed the correct medication to help heal the wound. Thank you, Eliza! I have recommended a few clients already to this center. I have already told family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. what a wonderful center this is and how great Melissa and Eliza are.
