I just wanted to mention some highlights of working with LAP Demolition: 1) Luis came out the same day I called him to give me a quote and sent me the estimate right when he said he would. 2) The quote was significantly cheaper than any of the other quotes we had gotten, and the quote was written very clearly so we could see exactly what we were paying for. 3) Luis was very helpful and friendly and pointed out helpful details, such as suggesting we leave the support boards on the house until we could get stucco work to repair the exterior. He was also very flexible about the date of the demo as we wanted to schedule it for two weeks out, rather than doing it immediately. 4) Luis and his crew arrived right on time the day of and completed everything within about 4.5 hours. They brought their own portable toilet and were very efficient and tidy. They even swept up any sawdust left over and hauled everything away. We really appreciate the high-quality work that Luis and his crew did and we now have a blank slate for our future house projects. I also needed an old retaining wall cut down. It proved more difficult than either I or John anticipated. The land in Mira Mesa is rock solid and difficult to excavate and the access to my hillside was limited, but John persevered and got the job done. He is a man of his word. We talked to several different professionals regarding how to fix a drainage issue we had. He did a superior job flattening the top of the back yard slope which provided about 2,250 square feet usable outdoor space we didn't have before. We then decided to have him compete the area by having DG put down. He also brought in rocks from the local quarry to do a border around our slope landscaping. This was a cheaper solution than the local rock company and I liked it better. We kept going and he put in stone steps and removed a front 40' stucco planter for us (preparation for next year's project). He next designed and graded and a 70' dry creek bed, finishing it with rocks and mulch. He gave reasonable prices, good response and is a very hard worker. We plan on doing our half acre front yard next year with his help.
