First off, the best decision I made as a business owner was to change my accountant and hire Peter and his team to help me. I know many people are capable of keeping their own books, and for me it's worth paying monthly to have someone who is very knowledgeable, communicative, and professional to help me. Peter has been responsive, flexible, patient, professional, calming, and motivating. It's like having a financial wizard as a teammate when business financial life feels stressful and scary. We knew Patria for many years already, so it was an easy call to bring her onto our team. It's been incredibly helpful in ways we could not imagine. She's always on the ball with deadlines and filings (taxes, city records, etc) that need doing. It's actually saved us money time and time again with the things she comes up with. Many accountants are pushy and not tolerant of less-than-perfect clients' books or systems: ours is changing and less-structured, but she deals with it so well. Even prioritizes paying bills etc according to what WE think is important. It's always a pleasure to deal with her, and we have that great "taken care of" feeling. HIGHLY recommended!

Working with Sam has been an absolute game-changer for me. While I've only used S&S for the past…read moretwo tax seasons, I can confidently say that I'll be sticking with him for my future returns. I started considering getting a tax accountant the year I began a new side gig which I knew would add some complexity to my tax situation. I was still leaning towards just using one of the free tax software options out there since it wasn't any crazy amount of extra money and plus, they were free. But I decided to get a few consultations set up and after a few unimpressive calls with other offices, I ended up talking to Sam. Since then, Sam's always been refreshingly straightforward in his services. He doesn't waste time, but zeroes in on what matters most--maximizing my returns and minimizing my stress. Plus, I've never had to waste time going in-person and taking care of physical forms since his office keeps everything digital and makes my job as easy as uploading my documents. Despite my initial hesitation over the cost of a professional vs free software, Sam's expertise has proven invaluable. He's done an incredible job with saving me money and the peace of mind that comes from knowing my taxes are in capable hands is priceless.
