We worked with Tony for approx. 6 months prior to our wedding. He was very responsive via email and catered to our needs. We had open beer and wine with a specialty drink. He was able to switch out a certain beer for a seltzer, etc. The specialty drink was A HIT!! Our wedding was in Sterling, MA and even though they were from Falmouth, they were at the venue well ahead of time and had a beautiful set up before the reception began! The two bartenders that worked our event were great. My husband chatted with one of them quite a bit and he was such a nice man. He said he'd been working for Tony for quite some time and he spoke very fondly of him. I would absolutely recommend Tony and his staff. read more

I communicated with Tony on the phone and over email throughout the process. He was extremely detailed in explaining how things would work, what our best options were for saving $$$ on an open bar, and the final costs. I changed my mind a few times while planning and Tony always responded thoughtfully and professionally. His team showed up early for the party, was set up, explained to us how things would work, and were so friendly with our guests! My best friend had her wedding this past weekend in Cohasset, and Professional Bartending Services staffed their open bar. John and Dan showed up more than 2 hours early to be sure that every detail was absolutely perfect before the guests arrived. The bar was beautifully presented and fully stocked for any request! On top of that, the guys were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were fantastic with all of the guests and received rave reviews from everyone in attendance. The folks at the venue had some challenging restrictions that John and Dan managed through with a smile. They made everything so easy! Plus, at the end of the evening, they managed to get cleaned up and out without any fuss. I sincerely cannot Thank them enough. What a great service! We hired 2 bartenders for a retirement party from Professional Bartending Service and they did an amazing job. Tony the Owner of the company was very easy to work with throughout the planning process. He was prepared and very helpful determining what we needed for the amount of people we had as we decided on a cash bar. Every time we had a question he was there for us. I really felt at ease that the bar portion would be perfect and the team didn't disappoint. On the day of these guys came in so prepared. The staff arrived and jumped right into setup not wasting anytime. The bartenders did a great job not letting a line build up throughout the evening. They were friendly, quick and efficient. By the end of the night they had everything broken down and cleaned up. Overall Tony and his team were wonderful. We can't thank them enough and will be sure to use their services again the next time we have a party to throw! read more

I want to share my disappointing experience with people so that others needing a bartender at their event can benefit from knowing my experience with Professional Bartending Service and specifically owner, Tony Jeffrey. I used this company, and Tony for my wedding at Bourne Farm and it was the worst decision I made related to my wedding. All my other vendors were absolutely AMAZING (I'm writing them all 5-star reviews!!), but Tony lacked professionalism and customer service the entire way through. I had originally signed a contract with Tony a year before my wedding date, we agreed on a price, the specific wine for dinner, and other logistics such as glassware, bars and linen. I signed the written contract where all details were noted, and sent him a 50% deposit. About 3 months before my wedding when I contacted Tony to finalize additional details, he was completely unresponsive. My husband and I left 3 voicemails and sent 3+ e-mails with absolutely no response. We finally got our wedding planner involved to help track him down. After about a month, we finally got a response at which point he tried to squeeze more money out of us for things that were already agreed upon in a contract. His contract read "unlimited glassware" and he tried to tell us that this did not include sparkling wine glasses (which was never noted in the contract). He insisted we had to pay additional for them. He also tried to tell us that we should handle renting the linens and tables (for the bar) even though the contract said that our price INCLUDED him taking care of tables and linens. Lastly, our contract said that a final headcount was due 10 days prior to our wedding date. When I told him the final count of 128 (10 days before our wedding) he said he was still going to charge us for 150. We kept saying that this was not what we agreed to in the contract, and he would not back down and kept insisting that it was "still the same amount of work for his staff"...which makes no sense because it's still LESS alcohol. Ultimately, since we were 2 weeks away from our date, we ended up paying the extra money ($1000) because we felt we had no other choice being so close to our wedding date. On our wedding day, he continued to not live up to what was written in the contract. We agreed to have 2 bars open throughout the night, he only had 1 open until my Dad had to go over and demand they open up a 2nd. We agreed to have wine placed on tables, and this never happened. Because he squeezed an additional $1000 extra from our agreed upon contract price, we made the very hard decision to take the money out of the tip he would have received otherwise. (It's worth noting that I always tip 20% and I have never in my life not tipped a waitress, vendor, etc... so this was a first for me.) Tony was furious at the wedding, and so my Dad called him up a few days afterwards to give him the feedback on why him and his team did not receive gratuity. Instead of taking any responsibility, he made excuses and blamed other vendors at the wedding for why we were upset/disappointed. It ended with him hanging up the phone on my Dad!! Proving once again that he lacked professionalism the entire way through the process. It's really a shame that his staff had to suffer for Tony's mistakes but I felt I had no other choice....(hopefully they will leave the company and find a better person to work for!). Owner, Tony Jeffrey is unprofessional and unreliable because his word (and contract) do not mean anything. If alcohol and having a bar is important to you at your wedding or event, I suggest you DO NOT use Tony Jeffrey and Professional Bartending Service. read more

Everyone planning an event needs to be warned about Tony and his horrific business. I was married in Dennisport in September 2015. Tony was communicative throughout the year long discussion of bar services for my wedding, because of this I assumed his bar services would be perfect at my wedding...I was 100% wrong. The bartenders ran out of Bud Light 15 minutes into cocktail hour, my brother in law had to go to a local liquor store and buy out all of their Bud Light (my wedding photographer also photographed this whole ordeal...funny now, not so funny then). I had arranged for two specialty cocktails, a peach margarita and an alcoholic Arnold Palmer (specifically stated and agreed to in my many emails with Tony). I was rudely scoffed at by the bartenders when I asked for the alcoholic Arnold Palmer and told they only planned on serving a regular non-alcoholic Arnold Palmer. All of the cocktails were horrible with WAY too much alcohol. If my mother in law had not made wine for the tables at my wedding reception, my wedding would have been ruined. I wrote a long email expressing my deep disappointment to Tony a few days after my wedding and never even received a response. He also waited almost a month to cash my check. Luckily I just attended a wedding at the venue I was married at and they now have their own bar service for this EXACT reason. read more
