They offer a wide range of produce at reasonable prices. I have been shopping here for years.

It's a 3 1/2 stars I like going to this Production location since there is a larger parking lot plus you can pick a bunch of your veggies and fruits. Other locations you ask for your item behind the counter and you get what you get. The prices are great but it does not have a long shelf life so you can only buy your produce for a little over 3-4 days. I will be back since I really love their flower (and their prices) read more

If you've never been to produce junction, they sell pre-bagged fruits and veggies. They have 2 different counter one for fruits and one for veggies and the employees grab whatever you need. You need to be prepared. This is a cash only establishment and they add up the prices in there heads and it's usually wrong. I went to the fruit side today and the women behind the counter picked up the phone and was making a phone call as I walked up. Rude! So I just stood there and she said yes?! I placed my order. She grabbed the bags. When I got home I opened up the bags and one of my 2 grapefruit was bad and one of my 6 plums was bad. read more

I purchase roses/flowers from this produce junction all the time and this morning I spoke with the manager on duty about him being able to reduce the price for the roses due to the roses not being fully fresh (which the manager say came in this morning) you can tell they didn't and there weren't any better looking/fresh roses and I was told "NO, If I don't like them , don't buy them." Following that response that I received, I also asked , so , if other flowers and fruits or bad do I still have to pay the full price, and I was told "Yes, still pay the full price" That is crazy to me , that they won't accommodate a customer when they know certain things aren't fully fresh at the time . read more

This is my go to Produce Junction. It always has what I want and is never crowded like other PJ's. The staff are always friendly and there's always parking and a shopping cart! The one on McDade is closer to me, but I gladly pass it to head to this one. It's worth the extra gas, to me. read more

There are few things I enjoy more in life than fresh, succulent salads. Well, maybe fresh salads I made with vegetables I paid half the supermarket price for. I eat more vegetables than mostly anyone I know, so I can never get out of there without spending at least $25. But usually never more than $40. I usually get a huge box of veggies and fruit, but I can't tell you individual prices of things because I just kind of gather what I want. I like to make friends where ever I go regularly. This is easy to do at the produce junction. They also have amazing deals on plants and flowers and sell rose petals by the bag for $1.00 Cash only. This is the place for all your fresh fruits and veggies. Right off the boat into your bag. The price is right meaning that you'll probably have to wait in line but it's worth the wait. They sometimes will get in exotic fruits that you won't even know what it is. Best to just buy it and try it. The only problem I've ever had with the produce here is that sometimes, but not very often, it'll go bad quickly. So just check out that it's not on the verge when you buy. read more

Use to be a great place for fresh produce. However the past few times I have been here I was gypped out of money. Today was the last time I will never spend money here again. My total was $18.50 and the woman at the counter charged me $25 with attitude. After going back and realizing I was charged more than what I should have, I was given the correct amount of change back by another young lady and the older woman who charged me more just rolled her eyes at me and walked away. Overall a very nice produce junction with good quality and cheap prices. You lose 2 stars because they have the rudest and nastiest counter help person ever. Shes a middle aged carribean/islands lady. Yanks the money out of your hands, doesn't say please or thank you and overcharges. read more

All the Produce Junctions are fabulous, but I am reviewing this one because it is closest to my parents' house and therefore the one I've been to the most. Do you want large quantities of extremely fresh produce for cheap cheap cheap? Then go here! Before leaving town I stopped and got 5 lbs of bananas, 3 lbs of button mushrooms, 2 lbs of plum tomatoes, 5 lbs of yams, 2 quarts of strawberries, and 1 bunch of asparagus. Grand total? $12.50!!!! Much better than the grocery store. You can also get fresh flowers for cheap and plants in season. The only downside is that some of the produce you cannot choose (it's behind the counter and is given to you), but all in all I have never had a bad experience here. read more

It's definitely hit or miss with this place. Sometimes I make out great and other times not so much. I agree with the other reviewer... Sometimes the stuff is rotten or close to it. The bananas are never good. You definitely have to count the cost of the fruit and veggies yourself because sometimes they will overcharge you because their math is wrong. For thanksgiving, it's good to purchase the veggies because you get a good deal of them for pretty cheap but you should check them for freshness. read more

The produce, plants and flowers are great and for great prices. BUT, customer service leaves much to be desired for....Lots of rudeness and lack of patience. I went there with my father, who is not familiar with their process, and the staff was extremely rude to him and didn't bother to explain their process (they move quick and you have to know what you want when you get to the counter. They don't take time to help you figure out what you want) and just asked curtly, "are you ready?" I stepped in to explain to my father and another staff person came to help. But, I think the other person came to help because he realized how rude the other person was. I should have explained it to my father in advance, but also, I should not have had to. Had it been any other person who went there for the first time, they would not have known what the process was. There are no signs posted and unless you stand there and observe, it's hard to figure out. So, if you go, just know what you want before you get to the counter so you can rattle it off. Prices are posted above the counter. It's only the prices that keep me going, but there's a lot to say for customer service. They need more people behind the counter, so they could still move quickly and assist customers as needed. read more

Maybe one of the strangest places I have ever shopped. First the good. They have a decent selection of fruits and veggies, and their prices are rather good. Now the bad. I just said this was one of the strangest places I have ever shopped. The reasons being, there are separate lines for fruits and vegetables. So if you are buying a bag of Granny Smith apples, and a bag of carrots, you have to first stand in the apple line, pay for it. Then proceed to the vegetable line and buy your carrots. On a busy weekend, this adds a bunch of time to your shopping. Not to mention that most of the produce is behind the counter. So you can't even look at it before buying. Very strange, and almost like stories I heard about shopping in the former Soviet Union 40 years ago. So the same guy who fills your order also then rings you up. This again, adds to the length of the line. They don't take credit cards, which is dumb. This is 2012, hell, even every fast food place, and virtually all local pizza and Chinese food take out joints take credit. As for the produce, it is really no different than what you would find at your local super market. Bottom line, just go to Acme, ShopRite, Pathmark, wherever, to buy your fruits and veggies. At least at the above super markets, you get to look at your carrots before buying them, and if you want to get apples as well, you can pay for them at the same time in the same line. Everyone has great reviews but I just ate a salad from their vegetables and the peppers were soft, the lettuce was wilted, and the pack that said Baby spinich was actually just spinach and was far from fresh. Also, the woman who works at the vegetable counter with the long ponytail is blatantly rude and speaks to you as though you are personally responsible for ruining her day. read more

I used to love the place. Lately prices have really gone up (corporate greed)...lots of the stuff they sell I find to be subpar and ready to rot...so beware!
