Very unprofessional. The gym is unorganized and does not prioritize the wellbeing of their athletes. Overall, not a good experience.

I highly recommend Black Diamond Kids Center Gymnastics! What I love most about this place is that…read moreit's a real gymnastics environment for kids. They have a closed room designed especially for little ones where parents can go in with them, which makes it very comfortable for young children who are just starting out. There's also a viewing room upstairs and another viewing area downstairs, so parents can easily watch their kids during practice. One wonderful thing about this center is that the little ones get to explore the big gymnastics area with real equipment and see real gymnasts practicing. They can touch, feel, play some of the equipments (with their parents ofcourse) It's so inspiring for them! The younger kids, together with their parents, can observe and learn from the older kids. One moment that really amazed me was when I was downstairs watching my kids and saw little girls doing kettlebell exercises. I was like, "Is this for real? Wow!" They're not just playing -- they are actually working out and building physical strength from a young age. I also love how they rotate leadership among the kids during group activities. You can see the little girls taking turns leading their group, which helps build confidence and teamwork. Using a real gymnastics facility with real equipment, and allowing younger kids to see older kids train, is incredibly motivating. It creates such a positive and inspiring environment. My children absolutely love going to this center. It feels like both a workout space for children and a place where they learn discipline and confidence at the same time.

Signed my child up for a one week cheer and tumbling class and would never come back here based on…read moreour experience. - They send ONE email when you register for the class and then no other information is provided. In that email, they had old covid protocols from 2020. They really need to update their "welcome" information for parents. - The class is for ages 5-12 and they keep the kids together. The problem with this is that 5 year olds do not have the attention span or understanding as the older kids. To have them all together and essentially "punish" the older kids to hold a "stretch" position until the younger kids are able to catch up is not right. They need to split kids up by age groups and create a more positive learning experience. - Coach Sam is not someone who exhibits a positive cheer attitude. Both my child and my friend's child came back home talking about how mean she was. These camps are intended to be fun, she did not make it fun or treat the kids with respect. In the time when I was there, I also observed her lack of kindness. - Sign in and sign out process is a joke, they do not even check when you pick up your children. This is not safe, they should check when each child is picked up by an appropriate guardian especially if it's a camp setup like this. - Several children were new to cheer/tumlbing and needed help with the basics such as how to do a cartwheel, the "teachers" did not provide any help. They just told the kids to keep trying and to not interrupt them when they are working with other kids. How is a child supposed get help? The overall lack of actual teaching was really disappointing.

We have been to another gym that was not an experience that my daughter nor I appreciated, so we understand the difference. We won several competitions, but still, it was not worth staying. Communication here is fantastic, the coaches give constructive feedback without cutting down the athletes self esteem and they really do push the athletes to do the extra work. Coaches are also accountable for their roles. Competitive cheer is expensive, and I do feel that I'm getting my monies' worth with this gym. The growth I have seen in my daughter is priceless. She tried sideline cheer and she loved that, but competitive cheer is a different beast. We were only planning to do 1 year here, but my daughter loves it so much that we are staying. I appreciate having my teenager interested in a sport that keeps her busy outside of high school.

We decided to put our daughter into basic level classes here. The first (and only) month, the level…read more1 teachers were rude. Not explaining any of the moves, getting visibly frustrated with our daughter when she wasn't doing the movements just from hearing what to do on her SECOND week there. Mind you this was her first experience doing anything like this and had just turned 5. Then when the teachers (yes, plural) would get down on her level to show her, they'd aggressively grab her leg or arm and move it fairly rough to the position they wanted her in. They did this also with the split stretch -- which again, she'd never done before. I went and asked if they were supposed to know anything before this class because the way they were acting towards her was ridiculous. I told the front desk girl about it and she was surprised and brought it to the owners. My daughter cried when we got into the car, saying her teachers didn't like her and she didn't want to go back. The next class, she spoke to me and said that the teachers that were treating her like that were spoken to and it shouldn't happen again. That entire class she was there for that day, they would point at her and laugh (THE TEACHERS) when she was trying to do the movements, look at her after falling and roll their eyes and walk away. It was a NIGHTMARE. We never went back.

The teaching staff (at least for Level 1) has gone downhill since we started. My daughter has been in Level 1 prep for over two years because the teachers need to pay better attention to their students, and less attention to their cell phones, and to each other... The teacher we started with (Miss Izzy) is no longer at the school (went to college). The teaching staff has changed constantly since that change; we've seen 5-10 different girls teaching this class on a weekly basis. We recently visited another school (for just one hour) and with a little assistance our daughter was able to complete moves she was not receiving guidance on at VC. She is now rated Level 2, and is making huge strides and progress. We sent an email to the staff letting them know we were unhappy and that we were not renewing membership, in addition to addressing the above issues and received no phone call, or email back. This was upsetting since we had our two daughters there for quite a while, and had a good report with the front desk staff.
