When our original wooden deck finally became both an aesthetic eyesore and even a safety hazard, I solicited bids from three contractors for a rebuild with Trex. Of those three, ProDeck came in with the low bid. While I'm usually cautious about accepting low bids, the references provided to me by ProDeck raved about the contractor's performance on their individual deck projects. I went with ProDeck and was positively impressed in EVERY respect. Omesh was easy to work with, the company was eager to get started, and its tradesmen diligently labored on our deck during one of the coldest weather spells that Virginia has had in recent memory. They ensured that they understood our wishes regarding every detail of the deck before actually performing the work. The quality of their craftmanship, as far as I can tell, is flawless. They showed up early every morning and left in the late afternoon, completing our deck in seven (7) business days. This is a GREAT company and I cannot say enough good things about it. Prodeck construction encompasses many merits in one: flawless communication; flawless, excellent workmanship; on-time completion ; and very fair price for the impressive quality product The crew arrived on time and within a day they completely dismantled my old two-level deck and then started the process of rebuilding a new two-level deck for me on the same footprint. I watched them work every day, their dedication to their work, the precision of placing each piece of wood and each spindle for the rails was amazing. To top it all, they sanded the rail tops so that it would be smooth to the touch, something I have not seen from other companies. We absolutely love the screened in porch built for us by ProDeck this Spring. The craftsmanship reflects a lot of attention to detail. The beadboard ceiling is gorgeous, built by one of the company's very talented craftsmen/carpenters. The price was very reasonable, especially as compared to the other estimates that we received. We did a lot of research before having this porch built and had 5 companies provide their estimates and ideas for the project. We very much appreciate Omesh's professionalism and patience as we discussed the size and configuration of the porch, and the materials. It far exceeds our expectations or idea of what it would look like or how well it would be constructed. It is our favorite place to be. After speaking with a few other contractors we decided to work with ProDeck. We chose them because of the sales rep we worked with, Omesh. Omesh came to our house and was as pleasant as could be. He did not try to up sell us or convince us to design our deck any other way than how we wanted. He had samples of the different colors and showed us pictures of what our deck would look like when finished. They provided everything we needed to send to our HOA and were very responsive to any questions we had. The best part was that we had our deck installed before their original estimated start date. The crew showed up each day and put in a full day's work until the deck was completed. It was completed in the 2 week timeframe that was originally quoted for us. Prodeck completed our screened porch/deck a few months ago. So far, it's holding up very well with no issues. We had a 30 year old wooden deck that was rotting, and I called several contractors including Prodeck. I first met with Jason, one of the co-owners, for the initial estimate. While I was considering which company to go with, I emailed both Jason and the other one with questions, and both responded promptly to my questions. Although the other contractor had similar excellent reviews, I eventually decided to go with Prodeck because I was able to get a larger deck and the premium Trex decking (there are 3 kinds) for slightly less money. I was told up front that I would have to wait a few months due to scheduling, but I didn't mind because I needed that time to get approval from my HOA, and it was the end of fall anyway. Jason drew up the plans for my HOA, and after they kicked it back to me for more information, Jason promptly sent me what they needed and it was then approved. Once they started, I worked with Roberto, the other co-owner, who was at the site everyday. They worked hard each day in the winter during some of the coldest days. Roberto was good about keeping my updated about the progress. They finished after several weeks, and then at the end had a subcontractor electrician finish with the electrical work (lighting, outlets, and fan). ProDeck is the most professional, skilled, competent contractor that I think we've ever used! We needed a composite deck resurfaced and wanted Trex materials. Jason, their co-owner, gave us a very competitive bid and although a tad more than some other contractors, he won us over with honesty and professionalism he exhibited. If I could.... I'd give them a perfect 10 but instead, I'll settle for a perfect 5!! These guys went above and beyond even our expectations. From the sales call with Jason thru the re-decking process with Kelvin & Manuel, to the regular supervision by Roberto, the co-owner, this project was phenomenal. Having just finished a painful 10 month process by a different contractor adding a Sunroom addition where workers would show up once a week for an hour and then move on somewhere else, ProDeck was the epitome of professionalism and perfection. Arriving every day just after 7 a.m. even after a snowstorm and with sub-freezing temperatures they worked until well after dark to get the job done. The fit and finish of all the angles and the skill of fabricating a curved deck and railing were excellent. Due to the bad weather and construction zone, Manuel & Kelvin ended up working in mud around the deck which invariably ended up on the new deck.
