The staff at ProActive really helped me literally get back on my feet after I broke my leg and was in a brace for 3 months. My knee was so stiff I wondered if I'd ever be able to ride my bike again and do all the other things I've always done. Frank changed my exercises as I improved, listened to my concerns, and kept pushing me towards success. I did my part, sometimes whining, but today I'm back doing everything including riding my road bike. Physical Therapy for hip and lower back issues. What I appreciated most about this experience is how instructive and detailed oriented the therapists were when working with me. They coached me in the proper way to do each exercise that helped me maximize my efforts to increase my gains. It was the exercises along with the proper techniques I learned that kept me coming back. As I implement all of that, I am experiencing the gains I am need to improve my health. We just moved here. This place came highly recommended. My wife and daughter #3 had shoulder surgery out east and needed to do their therapy. Daughter is a softball player with ambitions of playing in college so it is a very serious situation for us. Avoid this place! Both the physical therapist and his assistant were very good. However, this practice has the worst office procedures I have ever seen. At some point they got the idea that I had not paid for one of the sessions. When I insisted that I had, the manager promised to research it. At my next visit and at every subsequent visit I was again asked to pay for that visit. I soon brought in a copy of my credit card statement to prove that I had paid, but the harassment continued- every single time I was there I was told I owed money. I even offered to pay again just to take care of the problem so that I would no longer be harassed. The manager refused to let me do that saying more than once she would take care of it, but the problem persisted. I again brought in proof of payment on my last visit. I thought the problem was solved. About 4 weeks after that last visit I began to receive bills in the mail. I was so tired of being hounded and harassed that today I went in and paid the bill for a second time just to get them off my back. All it would have taken for the problem to be resolved was for someone to go into the computer and mark the bill as paid once I presented proof. But that was evidently too much to manage for this totally incompetent staff. read more

Excellent physical therapist, Conny, who treated me for a back injury (injured ligament) that was a hard to treat upper back location. Her assessment was thorough and treatment plan really focused on healing, strengthening and elimination of pain. Her knowledge and expertise was exactly what I needed - and I was very concerned walking in for the first session that we would make little progress. I am grateful that Conny is so expert and that the other exercise specialists and interns coached me through learning the exercises. Am thrilled that I have made tremendous progress in short time. Do NOT go here. After seeing another ProActive PT at a different location, and getting much help from that person, I was told to come here when my regular PT moved out of state. I was told the person here handled complex cases and that I would be in very good hands. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a doctor. The PT here completely dismissed my diagnosis of hypermobility type EDS, telling me that I did not have hypermobility or EDS, despite my conditions having been confirmed by both rheumatologists and an expert geneticist. The PT here told me that I just had a "simple gaited pain issue" and that I needed to gradually do more exercise until it didn't hurt anymore. Every single practitioner I have seen since him has told me this person shouldn't be practicing physical therapy. Furthermore, when I told this PT what I do for a living and explained how physically demanding it is, he replied with "Oh, all you (fill in profession) are the same, you complain that you can't change the way you work." My profession is as an adjunct member of health care and we are treated with very little consideration to ergonomics or bodily needs, many times not even being allowed to take a break to pee, and yet this PT decided to insult me by dismissing ALL of my concerns and symptoms. I should have refused to pay for this visit and regret that my insurance paid them either. Do NOT go here. read more
