Absolutely horrible experience. I was treated with open disrespect from the moment I walked in…read more Instead of helping, the person working there stayed on the phone, used profanity, accused me of things without cause, and made it very clear my business was not wanted. I was made to feel unwelcome, judged, and humiliated. No customer should be treated that way. Based on how I was treated, I believe this may be discrimination in a business open to the public. Idaho treats that as a public-accommodation issue. The Idaho Human Rights Commission says businesses open to the public cannot deny the full and equal enjoyment of goods and services on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, religion, or disability. The IHRC also says initial inquiries are confidential, it conducts a neutral fact-finding investigation, and an administrative complaint must be filed before a discrimination lawsuit can be brought in Idaho. Because the IHRC warns that cases are harder to investigate when discussed publicly, I will leave the remaining details for the formal complaint process. The legal/process language in this version tracks the IHRC's public-accommodation and complaint guidance. This was degrading, hostile, and completely unacceptable, and I will be pursuing the proper channels

We drive 1.5 hours to get their grain, so it's pretty decent…read more What they have going for them: - our livestock like their grain - pricing is a little cheaper than North 40 and similar stores What they going against them: - they charge 3% if you use a credit card - they never contact us like they say they will, when our order is ready. - anymore than several bags of a certain grain and you have to place an order, they don't keep much inventory readily on hand My wife likes this place, I personally don't think it's worth the trip. They have a bunch of different types of feed but not readily on hand most of the time. Charging an additional 3% for using a credit card is cheesy and annoying. If you live locally then I guess it's worth trying.

But that's what makes it fun, because you have to go through the whole place at least twice and rub your eyes a time or two. What is crazy is they have a ton of stuff outside that goes around the whole building, and the elements have been kind to everything, because they obviously have to leave it all sitting out there. Everything was spot on from a reasonable and competitive quote, to communications and professionalism. An important thing to check on when hiring a company is whether or not their own employees do all the work. Many companies outsource the actual work to another contractor. Idaho Granite's employees do all the work. Additionally, Laree offered was astute design advice. They don't do back splashes and that was a hassle having to source and deal with an extra contractor but about half the counter top people don't do back splashes either.
