Living in Bonner's Ferry, particularly in winter, it's often difficult to get down to Sandpoint, much less someplace with modern conveniences like CDA. Pro X has saved me many a long drive to either of those places, and have always had what I needed on hand. Prices are perhaps a little higher than you might get at Home Depot or Lowe's, but factoring in the cost of gas and the value of one's time over the one or two hour drives to Sandpoint or CDA, respectively, it more than evens out. Pro X is also a great place for picking up factory seconds of the North Idaho Energy Logs, fully $100 cheaper than their pristine counterparts. If you live in Bonner's Ferry and find yourself doing any kind of home improvement, yard, construction, plumbing or electrical project, Pro X is the place to go.

Their tool selection is excellent, from yard maintenance to electrical, plumbing, boats, you name it, and also have a good selection of quality work clothes and accessories, mostly Carhartt and Dickies. It's the first place I've seen since childhood that sells nails and screws by the pound. The staff are friendly and extremely knowledgable and not afraid to tell you whether your own hairbrained schemes are going to work. While I've left disappointed for not finding what I was looking for, they've spared me a good deal of heartache from finding out on my own that my notions weren't likely to succeed, most recently in trying to find a cap for the lower spout on my water hauling tank. They also routinely have some of the cheapest gas prices in town. I usually try to fill up down in CDA when I'm down there for work as it's often 20-40 cents cheaper than Sandpoint or Bonner's Ferry, but if I'm not heading down that way, this is where I go to fuel up. More than anything, I like that this place brings that small town Hardware store feel, but packs it with big box store level selection and service. It seems like a very happy marriage between two very opposite ideas. Highly recommended!

They even have a section that is for RV's and a lot of seasonal items. Right now, late July they have a good selection of grilling accessories and they even carry Treger smoker grills. When I am somewhere I try to by local as it keeps the small guys in business. And I am a firm believer in small local business. This is your place I scored some really cute hummingbird feeders and the nectar for them, got a few tomato plants that were 50% off as planting season is about gone but I'll give them a try. My very first visit I was sent by my husband and our friend to get lag screws which I had no idea what those were. But there was a super kind gentleman that helped me find just what they needed. I will definitely keep coming here as I tend to find more than I came in for, just saying.
